Come one, come all. Whether you have a story nominated this season or not, I'd like to invite you to participate in the 2009 Felix Award Ceremony (date T.B.A.)
Things are coming together; the judging is nearly completed. Now it's time to prepare for the "ceremony".
If you've been nominated for an award, please submit your Acceptance Speech(es). Like the Oscars, we will only present the speech if your story receives the Felix, BUT we need to have one ready to go.
Whether you have a story nominated or not, there will be...interroga tors (various characters from law-enforcement-related fandoms) on the Red Carpet (and throughout the ceremony) with questions to be answered.
Please take the time to fill out the participation form (http://absolutechaos.net/felix/mailcode195/).
If you don't have time to come up with something of your own, but don't mind me writing up something for you (dependant on how many people request/how much time I have), please don't hesitate to PM me or email me (felixawards@absolutechaos.net?subject=FelixParticipation)
I'm terrible at explaining stuff, so don't hesitate to ask questions if you have 'em!
*Though I will contact you if any major changes need to be made to the things you submit, I may need to make small changes to make things fit the style of the awards.
Ceremony date: TBA. (The judging is still not quite complete, but it's getting close!)
Please have your participation forms completed by July 3rd so that it can be included!

If you want, you can make one generic speech for a lot of them.

Just a small heads up to the collaborated story speeches. We didn't think about it until your forms started coming in, but just like an actual awards ceremony, if a collab wins you guys should all come up with something to say. How one of them is the chosen spokesperson or one or two say a little something. Sorry about that, Ash is going to be including that on the form but for those of you who already sent yours in, keep that in mind.

I hope it is at a time when I can participate, it does sound like a lot of fun.
And about the speech, I was thinking the same thing, Kelly. Not only that, but it feels weird to write a speech for an award you don't know if you've won or not, but I totally understand why it has to be like that!!!

Holy crap, I didn't even know I was nominated, I JUST found out now! Thank you to whoever nominated me. Geeze!
Anyway, I don't feel comfortable with writing an acceptance speech, but if possible I'd like to help out in anyway I can.
Sorry I haven't been on here in forever, I'm not on the comp like I used to be.

Okay, I see the ceremony is happening on August 1st. I'm going to be in Ottawa that night, getting ready to catch a plane to Arizona at 6am the next morning. How long are the Awards going to be available for pick-up? Because I'm going to be down in AZ for 2 weeks, & Ashley [ForeverRebel] & I might accidentally forget to look to see if we won anything. *innocent grin* :)

Ditto, I just wrote one. It's mostly catered towards 00Carter, but if I do win anything, it could be used for whatever. Most of my nominations were for 00Carter anyway.
