We gave the power over to you to find the best fanfic on Absolute Chaos! We have compiled all of your submissions, and now have a list of nominees!
Keep in mind that every nomination had to have a reason why they were being nominated, so a lot of thought went into these. It's one thing to throw someone's name into the hat, it's another to say why you believe it should be there.
You're all talented, and congratulation s to everyone. Good luck with the next portion of the awards which is the voting period. Voting will begin Monday November 1, 2010! So keep an eye out for more information!

First of all, congratulation s to everyone who was nominated! There are some AMAZING stories nominated in all categories!
Secondly, WOW! I am shocked and flattered by all the nominations - to whoever nominated me, THANK YOU! I have to admit, I was hoping Song for the Undead would get some love, since it's the first year it's been far along enough to be nominated, so thank you for that! I was really surprised to see my other stories nominated - the unfinished (and non-updated - sorry!) stuff and Broken/BMS, which have both been finished for years. That was a really nice surprise - thank you!

LOL it took me two looks to even see the "not part of a series" part. I was going, "What? Even if it is part of a series, it's still a novel..." I get that it's for stand-alone novels, since Series has its own category, but yeah, I probably never would have noticed!

Hey, I don't think I should win an award if I don't qualify for a category. There's some AMAZING stories nominated for that same category that deserve to be there.
Now the other categories...v ote away people :D
that is a stand up thing for you to do :) Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to know there are people who will be honest like that. :)

Wow! I was sure I'd have no nominations, but then my A.J./Tesia series popped up. :) Yay for A.J. & Tesia! Lol. Thanks to whoever nominated me! I doubt I'll win considering my competition, but least I can say I got nominated! Yay!

My story is nominated?? For real? Yay! I didn't expect this, really! Especially 'cause I'm a bad updater and well.. I was hoping my English would come out well and since I don't really have that many reviews (still happy with the ones I got though!), I didn't think any of my stories would be nominated. But wow! I feel flattered and I'm really happy 'cause I love Ice Cold Blood, so I'm glad it's getting some love from others as well. :) Thanks to whoever nominated me!

Yes, yes it was! I think this is gonna be the toughest competition we've ever had! It's probably a good thing the awards are being voted on this time, cause it would be hard to judge most of these categories.

Haha sorry. When I put them all into the spreadsheet as they came in I just shortened them up to how I know people in my head. So yes, you're Yorkie.
As for the first question, the only category you HAVE to vote for is Best Author/Best New Author.

It's better to vote for every category! Everyone deserves your votes, but it stands to reason that there's some genres that people don't read and I would rather people be honest than just pick a person because they have to. The author prizes everyone really should be able to vote on.
