Our next featured story will be #90 on the list! I can't even believe it!! So for the next 10 I would like to feature who you would consider the top ten writers/authors on the site. That's the thing, they have to have a story on this site to be included as a featured author/story.
Of course most of these people will have already been featured and if they only have one story, it might also have already been featured but since it's a special occasion, I am willing to bend that one rule. Most of the authors have more than one story anyway lol
I originally was just going to feature my top ten but I realize it wouldn't be fair to some since I have different tastes than a lot of you! So, give me yours as well! Then what I'll do is try my best to spread the love around a bit! Keep in mind it's all opinion. We all can't and don't' love the same things. Some of my favorite stories might be some of your least favorite and I know for a fact some of your favorites I hate lol It's your own personal taste and preference.
I really do hope all of you give some input! If not, you can't argue with the end result!
I'll give you the choice of either posting your lists right in here or if you feel more comfortable PMing them to me (if you don't want people to see who you are picking because you're afraid you'll offend some) then do it that way. The results will show up on the features waiting line! :)

Also, don't forget guys this is a top ten of all time so you can think way back to your favorites! If you aren't sure if they have a story on this site just do a search by title. Put the name of the story into the box and see if it comes up. If you search by author you might not have any luck but stories, you will! You never know at one point in time, almost everyone has posted on AC. Sadly not everyone, but more than you might think anyway lol

You guys should keep sending me your lists. I'm kind of surprised I haven't gotten some of you yet. This countdown to 100 doesn't start until August. We have one more person (90) before we start counting down with 91 - 100. Right now there is a top 3 but all the others have tied numbers. lol

;D I'm feeling my age!!!! I remember the first time I sent feedback to an author, it was Chaos. I was so nervous! And it seemed that Eboni and I would email each other every other day, just "talking" about her fanfics. I still have a few that she started, but never posted on her site. :shrug: I miss her!

Honestly, that's how I became friends with most of the BSB writers I know now. Because of those initial emails back and forth. Chaos, Swenglish and Jenna were the first people I ever gave feedback to. I felt the same way with Eboni! I remember chatting with her for hours on IM about fanfics, hot fireman and life in general. Also Kat and Amy who both in turn ended up becoming very good friends for life, even though they are both way out of the fanfic world today. Of course Mersey and Maria as well. *sigh*
I also remember the first time I got a feedback for my stories. Those things kind of stuck with you. In a good way!
Sometimes I miss those days. Everything has gotten so impersonal now, if it weren't for the review and respond to review buttons, I'm not sure if anyone would know who is reading what anymore. There seems to be next to no more wanting to reach out to your favorite authors.

You are not alone, which is another reason I do the reading challenge. It's nice for the writers to get steady feedback and helps motivate some to even write. The power of a compliment is an amazing thing! lol

I also love the old school fan fic conversation! I loved getting feedback via email! It always made my day. And I loved my little website. Haha

As much as I hate to say this, Eboni was one of those ppl that I loved but then when I went to read again years later I was like "why did I like this?" Especially when I realized she named female characters after herself.
Anyway, no hijacks, top 10s, yadda yadda lol

LOL there was one by Bria called "Shards of a Shattered Life" that I downloaded years ago and I tried to read it once and was like wtf was I thinking!? My standards, not that high back then.

I have one...its THE worst fan fic I think I have ever written and I was soooooo proud of it but I read it one day and was like OMG i need to take this down lol...never did...its sadly still up ;)
I dont think I have ever used my "real" name for anything on the internet well other than facebook LOL...i think if I used "carter" people (i.e my MIL) would be wth and then I would have to explain and I hate explaining it lol.

I wanted to thank all of you for submitting who you felt belonged on the top ten AC writers of all time list. Honestly, we had a much bigger response than I was expecting.
There were 45 names submitted for consideration and from there, the ones with the most votes went on to make it into the top ten. Starting next month, we'll be discussing and celebrating each person, starting with 91 and ending with 100! I still can't believe we are making it to 100! How awesome is that?
So, I will be announcing number ten on our last next week. I want to make sure she knows first. There was a tie for this last place. SO I will announce the runner -up right now.
Our founding father Chaos. I really REALLY hoped he would make the top ten because without him there would be no us. Truth is, he only has one completed story up on the site and it was the first one we ever discussed, so I decided to give the slot to his tie-mate instead.

Normally the next step would be to open a poll and let you decide which of the top ten's stories we will feature but in Chrissy's case she only has two novels on the site. One of which "On the Rails" we have already discussed, so that pretty much leaves "On Nightingale Hill" So in August we will talk about that one!

Jenna has been around for a very long time. One of our veterans. I know I say this a lot but "Swollen Issues" was one of the very first stories I had ever read. She has a knack for telling great stories and it's no surprise she's great at the medical stuff. I like to call her the original cancer queen!! Even though that sounds like a horrible title to have! LOL (only in BSB fanfic would be that be a compliment!)
I will be making a poll for Jenna with five of her stories when you open the thread.

2) Trapped: Something mysterious happens to Brian and all the fingers of blame point to Nick. Can he solve this in time before both his and Brian's lives are changed forever?
3) Toured Out: What really goes on before, during and after concerts when the guys are on tour? Do we really want to know??
4) All I Have To Give: Nick is in a horrible car accident. See how he and his friends deal with the cards fate has dealt him.
5) Altered States: The unexpected and the unexplainable happens to Brian and his world. Brian slowly shuts Nick out, refusing his help but will their strong bond as "brothers" allow this to happen?

I'm honored to be in the top ten! I know my writing has slowed to the pace of a snail with reoccurring amnesia. I see a day about 11 months from now when I can sit down, slowly caress my master's degree, and get back to writing for FUN and enjoyment. It's extremely frustrating to fall asleep, dream up a story, wake up, and realize that I have to learn the whole MARC programming language for an assignment due in three days. My characters are holding protest marches in my head -- which isn't a bad vision because I try to believe that Nick would be one of those protesters that only marches in a sign and tighty whities. Or maybe naked. Or---okay, going WAYYY off on a tangent. :) :cough:
