That last thread was getting prety long and a lot of info was getting buried. Okay, if you are interested in being part of the 00Carter agency, we need you to enter the lair (aka the yahoo group lol)

So far we have many of the characters set up.
Mr. Lancybassy - Nick's secretary
K (Kevin)- Nick's Boss
Jay (AJ) - master/creator of disguises
Diamond Divine - a Carter girl who is an agent
Red Jewel - Carter girl who is a doctor at the agency
Brian L. - CIA agent who partners up with Nick
Professor Pearl - Scientist at the agency who creates Nick's gadgets and sometimes if the mission requires someone who can handle really high tech things, she goes along.
Sapphire Siren - Nick's contact...pret ty evil, but not fully. (Nick knows how to get info from her for the right price) and is also a singer in a nightclub.
Villans, we will discuss more in the yahoo group.
So far Julie is going to create the site, and made the flash video, and she volunteered to be the final beta reader (after the writers for said episode look it over).
Deanna is going to run to yahoo group.
Me, I'm just kind of the idea gal lol.
Of course, we need tons of writers, people well versed in Bond universe so we can intergrate some of it into 00Carter, (not all but some).

Thanks for the offer, but I have a ton of space too, so I have no problem hosting it on mine. :) I had used up like 97% of my space, and then Geocities upgraded accounts to like 2 gigs of space, and now I've only used up 3% LOL. It's awesome.

I've joined. :) Honestly, I don't think I'll be able to do much writing at all... I'm thinking I would like to help more with ideas, being a beta-reader, seeing if it sounds good, etc. More of a fan fic advisor.
But it goes without saying I would still love to write a torture scene. XD

Hey, does anyone have a good mic? Could you record Nick saying his name from the MySpace video for my flash? I can do it myself, but not till tomorrow cause the only mic is at my mom's computer, which is right next to her bedroom and will wake my parents up if I try to do it now. I'd get it in the flash and finish the thing if I could get it tonight. All I need is just Nick saying "Nick Carter"... I can manipulate it and put it in with the music myself. And if you need the video, I've got it.

That would be awesome!! It's okay if the quality isn't perfect; as long as it's understandable, fine with me LOL. I have a good mic on my webcam, but it's plugged into my mom's computer, and it's too much of a bitch to get unplugged from the back of the computer to move it to mine.

He also said he thinks there's a way to pull the audio from the clip straight into flash he just doesn't know how to do it. (he's a real big help tonight.) unfortuantely he's an animator, not a sound guy so he's not as fimilar with that part of the program. He's more an after affects guy :P

By the way, for torture scenes... one great form of torture I've discovered is to lock someone in a room and play the Kidz Bop version of "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" by Eiffel 65 on repeat. It's pretty much the crappiest song ever (not the original, just the Kidz Bop version).

I don't really like either of them. You know what I think is great, Lucky Charms. There's so many diverse marshmallows, yet they all come together to form one great cereal. My favorites are the clovers. I think everyone basically agrees clovers are the most popular. lol
But one of my friends likes to put the clovers in their Oreo ccereal and I'm lie, really? Clovers and oreos don't go at all.

I am resurrecting a thread last updated in 2008 to continue the 00Carter revival conversation, so we don't completely hijack the writing thread. Seemed like a better idea than starting a brand new thread, since we already have several devoted to 00Carter, much to the annoyance of others here I'm sure.

I could definitely do a reread earlier than a jump in. I think end of May would be perfect for me for starting unless the reread let to something really concrete/electric. I'd leave the reread deciding to Rose, because I could do it most any weekend after I finish my PBox edit, but not sure if she prefers certain days over others.

Yeah, I think we just need to go into it without any big expectations and the understanding that we're all adults with real life responsibiliti es and other projects that we also want to make time for. I think what allowed Rose and me to finally finish Song for the Undead, even though it took us like 7 years, was that we were more patient with each other than we were with 00Carter. We started off strong with Undead, but then real life got in the way for both of us, and we slowed down. We both wrote other stories in the meantime, but we kept coming back to Undead with the understanding that we were going to finish it eventually. If we have the same mindset for 00Carter, I think it will help.
What I like about collabs is it keeps me in check in that I remember I have others I'm answering to. You know? So knowing I'd have you guys waiting for me then I'd be more on the ball.

^Couldn't do the guilt again, so same! (I mean this in a positive way, but I'm realizing it comes off fairly negative. I'm trying to reframe it as learning and growing, I guess is more what I mean.)
How's this plan sound: I finish my PBox edit (in the next few weeks, but I won't commit to a third project before that's finished), then you look at your calendar and send us a doodle poll with the days that are good for you and we can pick that way.

I thought of 00Carter the other day when Jeopardy had a Winter Olympic Mascots category, and there was a clue about Quatchi! It was what type of mythical creature he was, and I remembered he was the Sasquatch!

He legitimately still makes me laugh. My desk is so random between him, the turtle, my penguin, the wax figures, and Ninja Nick. OMG TaTu will forever make me think of Ice Ice Baby. That episode was hilarious and so off the wall. 00Carter was basically me living my dream in including every music reference we possibly could LOL. I have story notes open (and focus failing if anyone can't tell) for three stories, one of them being 00Carter and dude, the next episode was our Mr. Body Beautiful one LOL. I'm even sadder now we never finished it.
Continuing this conversation from the other thread here so we don't take it over with 00Carter talk. I feel like Ice Ice Baby is where 00Carter got good. The first three episodes were a lot of intro and back story, but this is where we got into the heart of it.
I hope we still can finish Mr. Body Beautiful and then some! I really wanna get to Platypussy Galore LOL.

Okay hear me out. I like the idea of them having a sort of time machine that throws them back and in the end makes everyone involved forget them...except for Fans. Something in their hideout protected them from the effects essentially. Maybe the alien tech that gets stolen eventually - I forget when I'd have to check. So Howie seeks them out after all the stuff they did and recruits them and promises that someday EVERYONE will know their names again.

The alien storyline starts with the Playboy Bunny episode (Bunnies in Black). I believe Hugh Hefner was actually an alien in disguise, a la Men in Black, and I think they got the alien tech from the Playboy Mansion. That too, though originally I was trying to figure out why Dr. Rough doesn't forget Dream. Maybe Melissa's father is a failed inventor. He created the time machine which doesn't function properly when they try to use it to eliminate 00Carter, and sends everyone into the past instead of just Dream. Sexi eventually gets abandoned in the past, doomed to relive everything.

Okay so Dream attack HimTak, maybe they're a girl group from a past mission of Nick's, Melissa of course being Nick's way in who got forgotten once the mission was over. She thought she'd get a relationship and got nothing. They have hated him ever since and want to bring down Nick by erasing him from existance. So Melissa gets the technology from her failed father. And it sends everyone back in time. Perhaps Howie and Sexi were meeting with Drums (who has updates from Styx) outside of Vegas (how ironic Nick lives here now since HimTak is based in NV lol) when the whole city gets thrown back in time. They also got the wrong year. They aimed for 1980 and got 2006. Eventually they're defeated back Howie helps bring them back into the present, being a proper genius though it costs him Sexi for some reason. Everyone has forgotten them now except for Howie/Drums and he tells them to come join him as he'll one day make sure everyone knows their name once more.

That too, though originally I was trying to figure out why Dr. Rough doesn't forget Dream. Maybe Melissa's father is a failed inventor. He created the time machine which doesn't function properly when they try to use it to eliminate 00Carter, and sends everyone into the past instead of just Dream. Sexi eventually gets abandoned in the past, doomed to relive everything.

I've definitely been in a bout of insomnia more than usual. Coffee is basically my life blood right now, much more than usual!

I always hated having to plan during breaks to be ready. And it's doubly nice of them to give you two more days of break at the beginning of the week before the inservice day. And now you get to see each of your groups once, so it's not lopsided!

Yep, so the kids will get eased in to it too. It's perfect. We had school the Monday and Tuesday before Christmas when a lot of districts were already on break, so that's why we got this Monday and Tuesday off.

I'm fine with three or four days, once it creeps down to one or two days, I feel like it's useless at the beginning of a semester or the end.

That was my plan, at your midnight I was going to call you out. But I figured a gentle warning would be a good start. A half hour later than usual? Don't push it, but I always push those days. Like, well I can stay up just a tiny bit later and suddenly it's the dead of night.

Not sure! The only other one I've made was for Steph (Carter-Orange), who wrote an NKOTBSB survival story with a particularly memorable scene where Nick has to pull bot fly larvae out of Jordan Knight's festering head wound. So I bought a Jordan doll off Ebay and turned him into "Bot Fly Jordan."
