Anyone up for a holiday challenge?
« on: December 07, 2020, 06:31:46 PM »

I had a small, small idea bouncing around in my head and things are more fun if it's a party, you know?

If anyone else is interested, I'll post some more specific parameters. Cheers!

People think it would be fun to be a bird because you could fly. But they forget the negative side, which is the preening.

You should go ahead and post your idea. Maybe a few people will jump on the bandwagon.

That's fair, Mare. Please jump on my bandwagon, everyone.

Alright, should you choose to accept it, your challenge is as follows:

1.  Timeframe: Classic Backstreet. Black & Blue or earlier.
2.  Characters: Boys only. Does not need to include all five Boys though.
3.  Plot Elements:
       a.  Must include a winter holiday that happens between now and January 1st. Don't care if it's the Winter Solstice, NYE, Saturnalia, "X Learns the True Meaning of X Holiday," Krampusnaught, etcetera. If you want some ideas, those might be great ones.
       b.  Must include someone giving or receiving a present.
       c.  Must include some reference to a cliche 90s holiday song, whether it was from the 90s or it was some old song that just had some crazy resurgence in the 90s.
4. Length: 9,000 total words or less. I won't tell you how long to make your chapters.
5. Completion Date: End of the month?

I think those sound like good parameters. Good luck!

Not sure if anyone else did this, but the link to mine will be in my update thread in the next hour or so... I'm one present away from being done. It was fun writing something new!
