Chapter 1

“ Please put all trays and seats in their upright position we will be landing shortly.” the flight attendant said as we started getting ready to land in Las Vegas.
“ Oh man I wonder how many people have really changed, too bad we both missed the five year reunion. And it's really hard to believe that we have been out of school for ten years now.” Melinda said as she put her tray up and then looked out of the window and saw the city of Las Vegas coming closer to us as we descended from the sky.
“ Yeah it really is hard to believe it has been ten years, You know I hope some of the old gang will be here, it's been a long time and it's to bad that we all have lost contact with each other, well besides you and me. You know I think Steve was just glad to get rid of us for the next four days.” I said as I heard the landing gears started coming down as we got closer to the ground.
“ Well I did hear from one and that Kimberly, but that was because she in charge with this years, reunion.” Melinda said as we landed on the ground.
“ Oh I see, well here we are in sin city, do you know what car rental that we need to go to from here?” I asked as the plane made it's way to the gate.
“ Um... I have it down in the day planner so when we get off the plane we can find a seat and I can pull out the planner from my bag, but I'm thinking it's Avis.” Melinda said as we stopped at the gate and then the seat belt sign went off.
We got up and started getting our stuff together while we waited for the plane's door to open up.
“ Man I can't wait for the show tonight and I wonder if he will be going out after the show too.” I over heard one of the younger girls who were here for a concert that was tonight playing at one of the hotels.
“ Who are you going to see tonight?” Melinda asked the girl who was standing next to her.
“ Oh we are going to see Nick Carter, he is doing a second solo tour for his new album.” the girl said as she reached up for her carry on bag.
“ Oh, hey Jenn didn't you once live behind Nick when you were younger?” Melinda asked me which got the two girls looking at me.
“ Um .... I think so why do you ask.” I said not really knowing for sure if he did live behind my house in Ruskin.
“ Well he is here for a show tonight.” she said as reached up and got her bag.
“ Oh... I didn't know that he was on tour.” I said as the people in front of me started moving down the isle and departing the plane.
“ I thought you knew him.” she said as we started walking down the isle and exiting the plane.
“ Um... no I don't him personally... but I did get to interview him just once and it was like five minutes and that was it and when the interview was over I left and went home.” I said as we stepped inside the airport.
“ Oh ok come over here and lets see what car rental we need to take.” Melinda said as the two girls just walked passed us and headed for their destination.
“ We need to find the Avis rental, and it is under my name, I just hope we get a cool car though.” Melinda said as she looked at the planner that she had pulled out when we came to the first row of chairs.
“ You did tell Kimberly that I was coming too right?” I asked her as she put the planner back in her bag and we started for the front of the airport to where the car rentals were
located.
“ Yes I did tell her and she was very happy to hear that you will be coming, she told me that she would really like to see you again.” she said as we walked through the area that was known as the food court area.
“ I'm glad to hear that because I'm really like to see her and the rest of the gang, I really do miss them, and it's really to bad that we lost contact after our third year from graduated from East Bay.” I said as we came up to the front of the airport and Melinda stopped and looked around until she saw the Avis rental.
We walked up to the counter and waited for the guy to get off the phone with a customer that he was helping over the phone.
“ Hello and welcome to Vegas, can I help you?” the guy asked as he hung up the phone.
“ Um... yes I have a reservation for a car.” Melinda said as she reached down and pulled out her planner again and got out the information that Kimberly gave her.
“ Ok and what name is the reservation under.” the guy said as he looked down at his computer.
“ It's under the name Reynolds, Melinda. A representative from the committee of East Bay High School reunion set up the reservation for me and my friend here.” Melinda said as she handed the guy the information that she had gotten in the mail from Kimberly.
“ Oh yes Ms. Reynolds we do have your reservation and the car is waiting for you as we speak, Frank can you get the car for Ms. Reynolds please.” the guy said to other guy who stepped out of the back office.
The guy handed the keys to the younger guy and he left, while the other guy started typing up the invoice for us.
“ Ok let me get this information down, while Frank brings the car around for you guys.” the guy said as he started typing the information that Melinda had handed him.
“ That's fine do you know a great restaurant to get something to eat for lunch?” I asked as looked around and watched the people coming and going from all over the airport.
“ The one place I love to eat at is the Hard Rock Cafe, but there is a great restaurant at the MGM hotel too.” the guy said as he finished up the invoice.
“ Oh we are staying there?” I asked as looked up from the broacher I was reading.
“ Yeah I thought I told you that we were staying there.” Melinda said just as the other guy came back in and handed the keys back to the guy at the counter.
“ Ok Ms. Reynolds here is your invoice and the map on how to get to your hotel and the key to the car. Hope you have a great stay here in Vegas and a wonderful day.” the guy said as he handed the keys to Melinda.
“ Thank you so very much and you have a great day too.” Melinda said as she took the keys and picked up her bag and we said bye to the guy and headed out the door the guy show us and there sat the car.
Man can you say they gave us a BMW Z class too, and it was the grayish – blue color and it was a convertible too.
“ Oh sweet can you say this is one of the cars that I want so badly.” I said as she unlocked the trunk of the car and we put our two bags in the trunk.
“ Yeah me too, well lets get to the hotel and check in before getting something to eat ok.” Melinda said as we got into the car and we took off towards the hotel.
“ You know I wonder what everyone looks like now, I can't wait to see how bad of an impact mother nature has had on some of the girls and guys here at this reunion.” I said as we stopped at a red light and I saw the Palms hotel and further down the road the large guitar of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
The light turned green and Melinda zoomed off again down the Vegas strip I was just looking at all the cool Hotels and Casinos there where, and yes even the wedding chapels too.
“ Ok here we are the Grand MGM Hotel and Casino.” Melinda said as she pulled into the parking lot and drove up to the hotel entrance.
“ Good Afternoon ma'am and welcome to the Grand MGM.” the valet said as he opened the car door for Melinda.
“ Good afternoon to you sir, and here you go.” she said getting out of the car and handing him the keys to the car.
He went to the back of the car and opened up the trunk of the car and started to get our bags out just as the bag boy came out with a luggage cart.
“ We really don't need the cart for our bags, because there is only two small bags.” I said as the bag boy still put our bags onto the cart.
“ Yes ma'am but this will be easier for you and your friend here so that way you don't have to worry about getting them to your rooms.” he said as the car left and we started walking towards the entrance of the hotel.
Once inside I was in total ah in how beautiful the main lobby was and how busy it was too.
The bag boy led us up to the front desk and to a waiting desk clerk.
“ Good afternoon ladies and welcome to the Grand MGM, I'm Tammy and I will be at your beck and call today and if there is anything you need just let me now.” she said as looked at both of us.
“ Hey Tammy, I'm here to check in, I have a reservation under Reynolds, Melinda.” Melinda said as she stepped closer to the counter and handing her the information that she had gotten in the mail and her ID..
“ Ah yes Ms. Reynolds we have you here for the High School Reunion that will be taking place this weekend. Tomorrow there will be a small dinner part in our main ball room.
Ok we have you for a double room, you are in room 2010. Here are your keys and other information of stuff and events that are going on this weekend.” the lady said as she handed Melinda back her ID and her information.
“ Ok well thank you so very much and you have a great day.” Melinda said as she took her stuff back and we followed the bag boy up to our room.
Man can you say the room was really big and beautiful it had two queen size beds and a small seating area, and a mini-fridge too.
We tipped the bag boy and then took our bags to our beds and put them on top of the.
“ Well let's check out the restaurant and see what's for lunch. And then we can check some of the shops, and Casinos too.” I said as we grabbed our room keys and headed down stairs to the restaurant for lunch.
“ Man there sure are a lot of young girls running around here, I wonder why?” Melinda said as the hostess led us to our table.
“ I'm really not sure, but there is a concert tonight, so I'm guessing they could be here to see the act.” she said as she handed us our menus.
“ I really didn't think of that, so who is playing here tonight then?” I asked as opened up my menu and started looking at it.
“ I don't know, if it's not country then I'm lost. Your waitress will be with you in a moment.” the hostess said before leaving us and heading back to her post at the front of the restaurant.
“ So I wonder who is playing and if there are still tickets to the show you want to go.” Melinda asked just as our waitress came up to our table.
“ No I think I'm going to see one of the Night clubs that is here.” I said looking up and seeing the girl standing there.
“ Hello I'm Karrie and I will be your server today, what can I get you ladies to drink today?” she asked as she smiled at both me and Melinda.
“ Um... I would like to have coke with both lemon and lime please.” I said as looked up at her and gave her smile.
“ Ok coke with lemon and lime, and for you miss?” she asked turning her attention to Melinda.
“ I think I'll have a coke too, but without the lemon and lime.” she said as she still looked at her menu.
“ Ok I have two cokes, and one with lemon and lime and the without.” she said before leaving our table and getting our drinks.
Two minutes later she came back with our drinks and took our lunch order too.
“ I have a question, that the hostess couldn't answer, I was wondering do you know who is concert tonight?” Melinda asked as the waitress put her hamburger down in front of her.
“ Oh yes ma'am the artist that is playing here tonight is Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, and from what I have heard his show is sold out.” the waitress said with a huge smile on her face, I could tell that she like him.
“ Oh well I guess we won't go see if there are seats left. Hey Jennifer this could be a great time to rekindle your friendship with him.” Melinda said as she smile over to me and the waitress turned to look at me with you know him look.
“ What are you talking about Mel. I not know him personally, I may have interviewed him a couple of times and lived behind him when we were little but that was all.” I said giving her this shut the hell up look.
“ You got to interview him and you lived behind him too. Oh wow.” the waitress said with omg look in her eyes, the kind that you see in fans.
“ I work for a local radio station back home in Tampa, and when I was little my house was behind or should I say across the canal from his in Ruskin. But know him as a friend or something like that then no I don't know him.” I said as that look faded from her eyes and then she just nodded and walked off to another table that she was serving.
After lunch we did a little site seeing and window shopping then we came back to the hotel where Melinda went back to the room and took a nap, while I headed to one of the casinos and tried my hand at the Black Jack tables, in which I did pretty good I came back to the room with $500.00 extra dollars.
Then I came back to the room and found Melinda gone, she left a note saying that she went down to the pool area and will stay there until an hour before dinner.
I took off my shoes and climbed into bed and took a small nap, which lasted an hour and half before Melinda came back and woke me up and we got ready for dinner.
Of course while we were downstairs in the lobby we bumped into a lot of Backstreet Boys fans that were here to see Nick who performing here at the MGM tonight.
Three hours later we where sitting down in a booth at a nightclub that we went to just to have some fun before the reunion that will take up the rest of our time while we are here.
“ I'm going to go to the ladies room and then go the bar and get a drink ok.” I said getting up and heading for the ladies room.
“ Oh man I can't believe that Nick is here, let's see if we can get into the VIP section and hang with him.” this one girl said as she and her friend stood by the sink and trying to make themselves look more like a tramp.
I went into the stall and did my business and then I went to the sink and started washing my hands and then just added just a little lip gloss.
I walked out of the restroom and somewhat walked right into the person that was also coming out of the man's restroom.
“ Oh excuse me.” I said as I looked up and saw the most beautiful blue eyes.
“ Oh hey no excuse me, it was me that walked into you.” the guy said as he looked down at me and gave me a wonderful smile.
“ Well let's just say we walked into each other, I'm Jennifer.” I said holding out my hand for him to shake.
“ Ok that sounds good to me, hello Jennifer, I'm Nick.” he said taking my hand and shaking it.
“ It's nice to meet you Nick.” I said giving a warm smile and taking my hand back from him.
“ It's nice to meet you too Jennifer, can I get you a drink just to say that I'm say that I'm sorry for almost running you over.” he said leaning against the wall.
“ Um sure that sounds great.” I said as he stood back up and too my hand and led me to a very dimly lit but cozy booth area in which I found out was his VIP table.
He sat down and took a nacho chip that was covered with chili, cheese, onions and peppers, and putting his hand under the chip he brought over to my mouth.
I took from him just as a waitress came over to the table.
“ Um... yeah I would like rum and coke and what would you like to have, Jen?” Nick asked me as he took a chip for himself.
“ I think I will have the same thing please.” I said taking another chip from Nick and saw the nasty look the waitress gave me too.
“ Man what a bitch remind me not to leave her a tip. Why do I have this feeling that we met before?” he said sitting back against the back of the booth and turning so he could get a better look at me.
“ Well for starters I did an interview with you about two years ago, but you may not remember me from way back, back when you lived in Ruskin.” I said taking another chip and eating it.
“ Ok I somewhat remember that interview it was right after I got arrested and when I broke up with Paris, you were the first person I talked to about what happen. What happen in Ruskin?” he asked getting a little confused look on his face.
Before I could answer him our waitress came back with our drinks, and Nick got up a little bit and shut the curtains that were up around the booth area before sitting back again.
“ I grew up in Ruskin too, and as matter of fact my house was behind your house across from the canal. Ok next to Brent's house I lived in the pale yellow house next to his.” I said taking a sip of the drink.
“ Oh yeah I remember a guy name Joey that lived there we used to play together over at Brent's.” Nick said as he too took a sip of his drink.
“ Yeah that was my brother.” I said as a tears started to come to my eyes.
“ Oh hey did I say something wrong.” he asked getting a napkin and handing it to me.
“ No you didn't, you see Joey died four years ago from a tumor.” was all I said before I started to cry a little bit.
“ Oh I'm so sorry, Here why don't you use my shoulder.” he said sliding next to me and pulling me into his arms and held me while I cried for a few minutes.
After a few moments of tears we started talking about other things like what I do and where I live now.
It was after the third rum and coke that I started feeling very strange, I also noticed that the last drink and a funny taste to it, but of course I blew it off because I was having to much fun with Nick.

Chapter 2

I woke up to the sun shining in my eyes, I rolled onto my back and started to stretch, and that's when I realized that I wasn't in my hotel room. When I moved a little bit and I came up against an object that was next to me. That's when I also realized that wasn't alone in the bed too. When I moved my head to see who it was that was laying there beside me I felt very dizzy and light headed. But the worst thing about all this matter is I don't remember how I got here.
I did finally manage to roll over onto my left side and to face the person who was laying next to me.
'OMG! I can't believe it.' I thought to myself as I looked at the person next to me and realized who it was.
“ Holy shit! What are you doing here?” Nick asked as he opened his eyes and saw me looking at him.
“ Well good morning to you too, Um... to be honest with you, I'm not really sure what happen last night and how we even got here, where ever that is.” I said sitting up some and pulling the covers up so I could cover myself up.
“ Oh sorry, it's just a total surprise and you know what, I too really don't remember what happen too and how we got up here also. So um... oh man my head is killing me... sorry um... would you like to get something to eat.” Nick asked as he rolled over to face me and he gave me this little smile before cringing some when the sun was shined into his eyes and caused his head to hurt even more.
“ You know what, I have a better idea why don't we just try and go back to sleep and sleep off these hang overs that we both have.” I said as I laid back down and started yawning.
“ That sounds like a great idea, you don't mind if I hold you?” he asked as he too started yawning.
“ No I don't mind.” I said snuggling up against him as he pulled me into his arms and we fell back to sleep.
“ Holy Shit!” I heard someone yell, and waking me up from a deep sleep.
“ Why didn't you tell me that your married, Oh man I'm so dead.” Nick said as he took my hand off his chest and dropping it on the space that was now between us.
“ What are you talking about, I'm not married.” I said sitting up and looking down at him and pulling the covers over myself.
“ Um... then what do you call this, if you not married then why do you have a wedding ringing on.” Nick asked as he picked up my left hand and showed me the ring on my finger.
“ What the hell, where did this come from, I swear to you that I'm not married.” I said looking down on the bed that was beside me and saw the wedding band.
“ Then if you're not married then why do you have the band.” Nick said as he sat up, which pulled the cover off of me some.
“ Well I can't explain it, um... maybe I should ask you to explain that.” I said as looking down and noticed that he too was wearing a wedding ring.
“ What are you talking about?” He asked as he looked down at his own hand and just stared at the gold band that was on his finger.
“ I don't know what is going on around here but I don't find it very funny. Um... do you mind closing your eyes so I can get up and make my way to the bathroom.” I said trying to get up and taking the sheet with me, and uncovering him.
“ Hey hold on there for a moment let me have the covers, and I promise to close my eyes so that way you can go the bathroom.” He said trying to grab the sheet so that way he could cover himself back up.
Man can you say he was very blessed in that department and he most diffidently knows how to use it too.
When I saw that his eyes closed I picked up my clothes from the floor and ran to the bathroom.
Nick waited until he heard the bathroom door closed before getting up and heading over to the dresser and finding some underwear, and putting it on he pulled open another drawer and found a pair of pants and shirt. He had just put on his pants, when something on the dresser caught his eye.
Laying right next to his wallet was a folded up piece of paper, picking it up he unfolded it and saw that it was a marriage certificate.
' Oh fuck, I'm in big trouble now.' Nick thought to himself as he read the two names on the certificate.
“ Hey what's wrong?” I asked coming out of the bathroom and saw Nick standing next to the dresser looking like he was about to be sick.
“ Um... here.” was all he said as he went back to the bed and sat down.
“ Oh My.... “ Was all I could say as dropped the certificate onto the floor and just stood there in total shock.
“ There has to be away out of it.” I heard Nick say in a very quite and small voice.
“ Um... sure there has to be, why don't we take this down to the court house and see if the judge can dissolve it, so that way we can go back to our regular lives.” I said as I looked up and saw what almost looked like tears.
“ Um... yeah that sounds great lets go do that right now.” he said getting up off the bed and picking up the certificate from the floor.
I just nodded and then turned and finished getting myself together while Nick finished getting dress himself.
Then we headed out the door and made it down to the lobby there were a few girls there that stopped Nick and asked for pictures and autographs, while he was doing that for them, I went to the valet and had the car brought up to the doors.
Nick stepped out the hotel just as the valet got out of the car and handed me the keys, I had asked him where the court house was, as he gave me directions as Nick got into the car.
I got into the car and we took off the courthouse and hopefully out of a mistake that I don't even remember on doing.

Chapter 3

I found the courthouse and pulled into the parking lot. Nick and I drove around for a couple of minutes until I came across an empty space.
“ So when do you have to get back to the hotel for you sound check and meet greet.” I asked as parked into the space and sat there for a couple minutes.
“ I don't have to be back there until 4:00 pm... um I was wondering that if you didn't have anything planed would you like to come and see the show?” he asked as he unbuckled his seatbelt.
“ I have a dinner that I have to go to but I think it's over before your show. If I get out early enough I'll come how is that.” I said unbuckling my seatbelt too.
“ Ok that sounds good, I'll leave your name with my bodyguard at the back door.” He said getting out of the car and I too got out of the car.
“ Ok that's sounds great, oh can I have one person come with me too?” I asked as we made our way across the parking lot.
“ Yeah sure that's fine. Oh great what I don't need at the moment fans.” Nick said as we got closer and he saw two fans.
I took his hand and pulled him away from them and headed for the back door of the courthouse.
“ Here we go and they didn't even see us.” I said as we walked into the building.
“ Good morning?” the police officer said as we came up to the x-ray machine.
“ Morning sir.” I said as I laid my purse and keys in the bind and Nick put his wallet and coins plus keys in another bind.
I walked through the metal detector without setting it off, Nick followed me and he too made it through without setting it off too.
“ Um... sir I'm looking for the office or judge that can do divorces.” I asked as I gather up my stuff and Nick got his things too.
“ The judge is on vacation for two weeks, but you can file papers at the office of the civil court and that is on the third floor number 309.” the police officer said as he came up to the barrier that was between us.
“ Ok thank you.” I said before turning around and heading for the elevator, just where Nick was waiting for me.
“ So where do we go?” he said as the elevator doors opened up and we stepped on to the lift.
“ Hit three, and the number is 309 when we get there. It's the civil court because the divorce judge is on vacation for two weeks so one of the judges will be taking care of the divorces.” I said as we stopped at the floor that we need and getting off elevator and then heading down the hall way to where the office that we need.
“ Hello, can I help you?” the lady behind the desk asked as we walked into the room.
“ Um... yes ma'am, we need to file for a divorce, it seems that we don't remember how it happen.” Nick said as he came up to desk and pulled out a chair for me before sitting down in the other chair.
“ Ok then, I'll need you to see both of your Ids and the marriage licenses please.” the lady asked as she opened up her desk drawer and pulled out couple of forms.
I found my ID and Nick found his then I handed her the license.
“ I need you guys to fill these out please and I'll be back I have to make copies of these.” she said as she got up and headed for the small room that had the copy machines.
“ So do you want to fill this stuff out or do you want me too?” Nick asked as he looked down at the paper and made somewhat face.
“ Why don't I fill it out my part and you can fill out your part how does that sound.” I said leaning over some so I could read some of the stuff that was on the paper.
“ Ok that sounds great, I'll let you go first ok.” he said as he handed me the papers first and a pen so that way I could fill out the stuff I needed too.
Ten minutes later I was done and handed Nick the papers over to Nick and he filled them out.
Then the lady came back and she signed the paper in the spots that she needed too and then stapled the other stuff to the papers that we just filled out.
“ Ok this will do it, the judge will go through the papers and sign them, and he will mail you guys the signed copies of the divorce papers within the next couple of weeks.” the lady said as she handed back our Ids and told us before we left the office.
We got back to the car and I took us back to the hotel.
“ Well I hope to see you tonight at the concert then.” Nick said before he got out of the car.
“ Ok I too hope to see you too. Bye Nick.” I said as he opened the door and I heard a couple of girls began screaming when they saw him get out of the car.
He nodded and shut the car door and began signing autographs for a few fans before going inside the hotel and up to his room.
I drove around the town and just looking around at some of the buildings, I went over to Palms and went into one of the casinos and played a couple slots and couple of hands of Black Jack. I won $ 800 dollars too.
It was close to lunch that I thought it would be best idea if I head back to the hotel and hang out with couple of people from the reunion.
“ Where have you been Jen. Oh do you remember Pam.” Melinda said as I came into the hotel lobby.
“ Oh I went for a drive, yeah we were in drama together.” I said as we headed for the ballroom and for the luncheon that was happening .
“ Hey Jen, man you look great. So what are you doing tonight?” she asked as we walked into the room and found our seats.
“ I'm thinking about going to a concert tonight.” I said as we sat down and I looked around the room and seeing two of my other friends Lori and Leia.
“ Oh really the one concert that I want to see is sold out.” Melinda said as our waiter came to our table.
“ The only concert that I know of that is playing here is that Backstreet Boy.... um .... Nick Carter.” Pam said after the waiter left with our drink order.
“ Um.... yeah .... that is the show that I'm going too, and Melinda you can come too.” I said and her mouth just dropped open as in total shock.
“ How ...” was all she said just as Kimberly came in and she started talking about all kinds of stuff on what we are going to be doing tomorrow.
After lunch I went up stairs to the room and laid down for a few while Melina headed out to the pool with Pam and Lori.
It was time for the show and both Melinda and I headed downstairs to where the show was going to be playing out. I came over to the side door that Nick told me to go too.
“ Why are we here Jen?” Melinda asked as we stopped by the door and I knocked.
“ You will just have to wait and see. Hello I'm looking for Ron.” I said to this one guy that was wearing an shirt of hotel staff.
The guy nodded and left us so he could go find Ron, for me.
“ Hello there.” Ron said as he came to the door.
“ Yes I was told to come here by Nick Carter... he said to give you my name.... and hand you my ID.” I said as I pulled out my ID from my small bag.
“ Ok I need your name please.” he said as he took my ID.
“ It's Jennifer.” I said as I watched him look at a sheet of paper that he pulled out of his pants pocket.
“ Oh yes I see your name here, sometimes that boy's hand writing is very hard to read. Please come with me and you can see Mr. Carter before finding your seats.” he said as he opened the door further so that Melinda and I could come into the back area.
We followed him down the long hallway until we came to last room on the right hand side.
“ Yo dude you have a visitor.” Ron said as we came into the room and saw Nick sitting there on the couch playing a guitar.
“ Jen you did come, thanks.” he said getting up putting the guitar down coming over to us and giving me a hug and then shook Melinda's hand.
“ Well you did ask me to come and see you and your show before you left so here I am.” I said as he led us over to the couch and we sat down.
We talked together of about fifteen minutes before Ron came back and led us to where Melinda and I were going to sit and watched the show. And believe it was behind the barricade. And I over heard a few girls wanted to know who we were and how we knew Nick.
After the show Melina headed back to the room while I stayed behind for a couple of minutes and told him that I really loved the show and wished him luck on his tour and kissed him goodbye.
“ I hope to see you again one day. Here is my number if you ever want to give me a call.” Nick said as he handed me a piece of paper that had his number on it.
“ Ok and thanks. I hope to see you again one day, when your in Tampa you can always stop by the radio station. And here is my number too.” I said leaning down and writing down my number for him on a piece of paper and then handed to him.
“ Well bye Jen.” he said as he lean down and gave me a very tender but passionate kiss.
I walked out of the door and made my way upstairs to the room and the bed.
Two days later I was driving to my house and I turned on the radio and heard the song Do I Have To Cry For You. Well you can say that song got to me because I started to cry. Mostly because I was thinking about what happen while I was in Vegas.
After having a small dinner I relaxed in the hot tub before getting ready for bed. Around 9:00 pm I was climbing into bed and falling asleep.

Chapter 4

I came into the station and went to my office and got my play list together before heading into the studio.
“ This is Mike and coming up next is our midmorning show staring Jennifer. Have a great day and see you guys on Monday.” Mike said as he was signing off on his show and going into four commercial set so that way I could get set up.
I came up to the seat and sat down began getting my stuff ready for the show.
“ Morning Mike how is Lynn and the baby?” I asked as I got up and poured myself some coffee into my big mug.
“ Morning Jennifer they are doing good, and I think we are starting to get into some kind of pattern now or I hope so.” Mike said just as Jason came in followed by Eddy.
“ That's so great to hear, well the rest of my crew is here so I guess it's time to start the show.” I said as my co-host came in followed by the producer.
We use the same director and traffic personal from Mike's show. The next person who came in was Olivia who does the news and weather.
We said bye to Mike and took our places just as the last commercial came to an end.
“ Good Morning Tampa and this is Jennifer.” I said as the director motion for me to start the show.
“ Good morning Tampa and this is Eddy. And we have a great show for you today.” He said as he sat himself down in his chair.
“ And we have Olivia doing news and weather. So how was everyone's weekend?” I asked as I put the sugar into my mug and adjusted my headsets some.
“ Mine was great we had fun doing the 4 k run for marine research. So how was Vegas and the class reunion.” Eddy asked as he unwrapped his wrap that was sitting on the table for us to have for breakfast, but in our case it's brunch.
“ It was really great I got to see all my friends that I haven't seen in a while and some of my friends will be coming here in the next couple of weeks for vacations.” I said as added some hot sauce to my wrap.
“ So what about you Olivia, how was your weekend?” Eddy said as he took a sip of his coke.
“ It was good all I did was helped Jerry with our garden and painted the house some.” Olivia said as she fixed her sausage biscuit.
“ Oh that's right you guys were redoing that old house that you bought three months ago.” I said as the producer taped on the glass and I looked up and he held up a signing saying that we had very surprise guest. I just nodded ok that I understood.
“ Yeah we should have it done in about two more months and then it will be open for business.” She said as she looked at the producer too.
“ Well it seems that we will be having a surprise guest coming on right after these messages.” I said as I heard the director say go into commercial.
We went into the commercial break and that's when we let in the surprise guest, and yes it was a huge surprise because we didn't have any guest scheduled to come on the show today.
“ Hey, I hope I'm not interrupting anything.” Nick said as he came into the room.
“ Um... not at all man, it's great to see you again.” Eddy said as he got from his chair and went over to Nick and shook his hand.
“ That's great, Hey Jennifer it's good to see you again.” Nick said as he looked over to me and nodded to me.
“ Hey Nick and yeah it's great to see you again too. I take it your tour is over?” I said turning his way and shaking his hand.
“ I have a show here in Tampa tomorrow night.” he said as he shook my hand.
We heard a tap on the glass and Jason motion for us to take our seats and Olivia got Nick an extra headset and microphone for him.
“ I want to introduce our special guest with us, so give a big hand to our home town boy Nick Carter.” I said as I introduced him.
“ Hey Tampa what's up, and hello to you Jennifer, Eddy and Olivia.” Nick said as he reach over to his coffee up.
“ Hey Nick so what's up with you man, the last I heard you were on tour.” Eddy said as he watched me looking down at the music list and it was time for us to play the next two songs.
“ Not much, and yes I'm still on tour. I have show tomorrow night here in Tampa.” he said as he smiled at the thought of his show tomorrow night.
“ Cool and I understand that it is the last show of the tour too. And what are you going to do afterwards.” Eddy asked as he noticed that I wasn't asking anything and he began to wonder way.
“ Yeah it's the last show and after that I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing. I think going home and sleep for the next five days.” He said with a small laugh, which sent shivers down my back as I remember that laugh as we sat backstage and just talked.
Then I heard the Jason tell me that we need to go to the music and we will have some questions from fans who called in.
“ Ok we will open the phone lines for fans who want to ask Nick here some questions, after we hear the new songs from Britney and Nickelback.” I said as I nodded over to Nick to let him know that we had to play a couple of songs while we waited to get some callers on the phone.
Forty five minutes later we were saying goodbye to Nick and continue the show for the next two hours before it was time to go home.
“ Jen, Michael wants to see you in his office before you head home.” Tonya said as I walked pasted her desk on my way to my office so that way I can plan the show for tomorrow.
“ Oh ok thanks Tonya.” I went over to Michaels' office door and knocked.
“ Come in Jen.” Michael call out for me to enter his office.
“ You wanted to see me?” I asked as I walked into the office and shutting the door behind me.
“ Yes, I heard that Nick Carter was on your show today. I was wondering if you had anything planed for tomorrow night.” he said as he looked down at one of the folders that was on laying on the desk in front of him.
“ Um.... no sir I really don't have anything plan.” I said as looked at him and wondered why he was asking me that question for.
“ That's great to hear, well now you do have something plan. Mr. Carter came into my office before coming onto your show today, well he wants you to come to his show tomorrow and do a small show before the concert, and he informed me that he was planing on heading down to the Keys and see the boat race and he also wanted you there to cover the race.” Michael said as he looked up from the paper he was looking at and looked at me from over the rim of his glasses.
“ Oh um... sure if he really is asking me to do this for him.” I said looking down and giving him a small smile, because I thought it was sweet of Nick to ask for me.
“ Ok well I'll let you go and get ready for tomorrow and if you want to you can take Eddy with you if you want too.” Michael said as he gave me a smile too.
“ Um... sure if he doesn't have anything plan then I'll take him.” I said as I got up and headed for the door.
“ Ok you do that and have a great day and see you tomorrow.” he said putting the paper into the folder and signing it before closing the folder. He put in top of the small stack of folders at the end of his desk.
I opened the door and head out before closing the door behind me. I headed down the hallway to my office that I do share with Eddy.
“ Hey did you get the news yet?” I said coming into the room and sitting down at my desk.
“ Um... no what news do you have for me?” He said looking up from the paper that he was writing on.
“ Well I just got finished talking to Michael and guess what the both of us well be coving Nick's concert tomorrow night.” I said as looked at the stack of folders that I had sitting in my in box.
“ Oh really, well I really can't stay for the show, but if you are doing an interview before the show then yes I can do it, but the show I can't stay for because I have to watch my niece while my sister goes to school.” He said sitting back into his chair and blowing out some air.
“ Ok that's fine we can get a hold of James and ask if we can do the interview on his show, and afterwards you can go and I can telephone the review of the show in so that's not a problem.” I said also sitting back and then wondering what Nick had plan for us at the races.
We worked on the plan for tomorrow's show and I did talk to James who said that it was cool that I could do an interview on his show.
So after spending two extra hours in the office I got home and the first thing I did was made a hot bubble bath and soaked for an hour, before making me some dinner of fried chicken, mash potatoes, and corn. When dinner was done I took into the living room and turned on the TV and saw a commercial about the boat race that is happening down in the Keys and yes they mention Nick's race team. It was around ten o'clock that I made my way to bed and fell sound asleep.
I was sitting in my office with Eddy when my phone began to ring I looked at it and all I saw was Private Call.
“ Hello?” I said answering my phone and looking straight at Eddy who looked up from his lap top. He was making up some questions to ask Nick tonight.
“ Hey Jen, I was just calling to see if you were really coming to the show tonight?” Nick asked as he rolled over onto his back and looked at the light that was dancing on the ceiling.
“ Hey Nick, um yeah I'm going to be there as is Eddy, we are going to do an interview first because Eddy can't stay for the show.” I said as Eddy got up and poured himself some more coffee.
“ Oh ok, well I'm glad that you both can come. Are you going to be staying for the show though?” he asked as he heard Chris coming out of his bedroom.
“ Yes I will be staying for the show and I plan to give a small review of the show on the late show tonight.” I said as Olivia came in with our breakfast.
“ Oh ok that sounds great to me. Well I better get up and see what's for breakfast and see what Chris is doing. Talk to you later and can't wait to see ya again.” he said before hanging up the phone, before I could even said bye.
“ I take it that was Nick and he is worried that we aren't going to be there or something like that.” Eddy said with a small laugh as he took his bag from Olivia.
“ Yeah I guess you can say that. Well I'll be right back.” I said as I felt my stomach go a little nausea.
I got up and headed to the bathroom and did my business, I took a Tums and my stomach began to fell better twenty minutes later.
After the show I headed home and got a some rest before heading over to the club that Nick was performing at tonight, he did call after the show and asked me to bring a small suite case so that way we could just head down to the Keys for the race.
“ This is Jennifer and I'm coming live from Pure where Nick Carter is performing tonight.” I said as we began the interview.
“ Hey everyone.” Nick said as he got ready to go on stage.
“ We asked for some fans who where going to the show tonight to call in and give us questions to ask you.” I said looking down at some of the questions that I had gotten off of our email site.
“ Ok that sounds great.” He said as he sat down beside me on the couch and took a sip of his water.
I began asking the questions which he was very nice to answer and he also said that he was so glad to know that he had fans away from the Backstreet Boys. And he was really happy to know that the place was sold out too.
There was one question he didn't answer and that was about the boat races. He didn't want everyone to know where he was going to be at so he pretty much kept quiet about where he was going to relax at. He did say something about going into the studio and work on a new album.
Then he went out on stage and did a two hour show and afterwards he showed me to his bus, which I learned was driven by his dad, we climbed on board and headed to a place that he had. And there we stayed the night before getting up really early and headed down to the Keys. His dad had flow down there to get things ready, and Nick was driving us down there.
Six hours later we were pulling into the Carter Compound here in Marathon.
And of course there were a few of his stalkers there, some of them I saw when we were in Vegas together, and of course they wanted to know if there was something going on with Nick and I, all because he wouldn't let me leave his side and it was this weekend that we really got to know each other very very well, but to say when the races ended I left Marathon and I learned that he left and headed over to Sweden, so he could work on his new album.
It was after seven in the evening when I came walking into the house. I ate a bowl of cereal and called it dinner before going upstairs getting undress, and climbing into bed and falling asleep before my head hit the pillow.

Chapter 5

“ James is next with your drive at five, have a great weekend and I'll see you guys Monday afternoon.” I said as I was signing off the air, and looking at Eddy and nodding to him that to close out due to the fact that I had to go and throw up again.
“ This Eddy and I hope to see you guys at Pure tonight for Spring Break Blowout, you have to 21 to party. So later guys.” Eddy said as he just watched me quietly shut the door to the studio.
I ran down to the restroom as fast as I could and hoping that there wasn't anyone in there when I open the door and got inside the room. I went into the first stall shutting the door and then began throwing up.
“ Jen, are you ok?” Olivia asked as she came into the restroom.
“ Um... I think so, I hope I'm not getting a stomach bug that had been going around.” I said coming out of the stall and heading straight for the sink so I could clean up some.
“ Do you think that you should go to the doctor and see what's wrong?” Olivia said as she gave me this look that she has a feeling that it's something else and it's not a bug.
“ I have an appointment after work. We are still getting together for the cookout Sunday.” I said before taking some water into my mouth a slushed it around, trying to rinse the taste of puke out of my mouth.
“ Yes the cookout is still on, but call me and let me know what the doctor has to say ok. And if you don't feel up to coming over then I understand.” she said as we headed out of the restroom and towards my office.
“ Ok I'll let you know, see you later then.” I said as we went our separate ways.
“ You ok Jen?” Eddy asked as he looked up from his computer.
“ Yeah I'm ok, well I have an appointment that I need to get to, so I'll see you on Monday.” I said going over to my desk and grabbing my bag.
“ Ok then, I'll see you Monday.” he said as he went back to what ever he was doing on his computer.
I left the building and made my way to my car. Getting in I drove over to Clearwater and to my doctor's office.
Finding a parking space I pulled my car into the spot and just sat there for a couple of minutes just trying to get my nerves together before going into the building.
Getting out of the car I made my way across the parking lot as I was walking to the building I saw couple of pregnant women coming out of the building and heading towards their cars, and that's when I started to believe what I'm thinking.
Walking into the building I headed straight for the elevator, while I was waiting for the lift there was a pregnant woman and her six year daughter coming up to the elevator and stopped next to me.
“ Hey aren't you that DJ on The Bay?” the lady asked me as she realized who I was.
“ Um... yes ma'am I'm Jennifer from the mid-morning radio show.” I said two more people came up to the elevators.
“ Oh wow, I heard the show the other day and you had Nick Carter on it and I heard the other shows that you were on. One you where at his concert and then at the boat races down in Marathon. So are you guys dating or something?” the little girl asked as she began to sniffle.
“ Marylyn you know better that to ask people about their personal life. I'm so sorry about that Jennifer you really don't have to answer her question.” the lady said as just as the door opened up and let the other people off before we got on.
I hit the 5 and the lady hit 6, which I know had the Pediatric doctors on that floor.
“ That's ok, you can say we are just friends and that's all.” was all I said as the bell ding to let me know that it had stopped and I looked up and saw that it was my floor.
“ Well it was nice meeting you.” both Marylyn and her mom said together.
“ It was nice to met the both of you too.” I said before stepping off the elevator.
I headed down the hallway to where the my doctor office was. Coming up to the door I took a deep breath before opening the door and walking in.
I noticed that the waiting room was empty, which I was glad about that because I didn't want anyone seeing me here because I really don't want anyone to know that I'm here.
Coming up to the window I rang the bell and waited for some to open the window.
“ Good afternoon?” the nurse said as she opened the glass window.
“ Yes, Jennifer here to see Dr. Thompson.” I said as the nurse looked down at the appointment book and marked my name off the list.
“ Ok just sign in please and have a seat.” the nurse said as she handed me the sign in sheet.
I signed the sheet and handed the clipboard back to her and going to the chair that was closest to the door that leads to where the exam rooms were located.
I was sitting there looking through the magazines that they had and came across a People magazine. Picking it up I started going through the pages when I came across a picture of me and Nick at the boat race. The small article was say that Nick was seen the company of Tampa Bay radio personality Jennifer, and that we seemed more than friends. That's because who ever took the picture caught him giving me a kiss.
The door opened and two ladies came in and one sat down while the other one went over to the window.
Then the other door opened up and a nurse stepped out of the door and looked down at the fold that she was holding.
“ Jennifer, hey can you please follow me.” she said with a smile as I stood up and came up to her.
“ Ok thanks.” I said as I followed her through the door and over to the small area where they have the scale.
She weighted me and then lead me farther down the hall to the exam room that I was going to be in.
“ Dr. Thompson will be with you in a few minutes.” the nurse said as she put my chart into the slot on the door before closing it behind her.
I opened the magazine again and ripped out the article of Nick and I and putting into my bag I closed the magazine when I heard the door opened and another nurse came into the room.
“ Hey Jennifer, how are we doing today?” she said as came over to me and stuck a thing in my ear.
“ Hey I'm doing ok.” I said as there a beep and she looked at it and wrote down the number.
“ Well you don't have a temperature so that's good, so can you tell me what it is that brought you here today?” she as she took the arm cuff so she could take my blood pressure.
“ The past couple of days I have been getting sick to my stomach and even throwing up.” I said as she started to pump up the cuff that was on my arm.
“ I see, well every thing is ok here. Dr. Thompson will be with you in a couple minutes.” she said as she went to the door opening it and stepping it out of the room.
I went back to the magazine and just thumbed through it when I heard a small knock and the door opening up and Dr. Thompson came walking into the room.
“ Hey Jennifer how are you doing today?” Dr. Thompson asked as she came into the room and over to me and shook my hand.
“ I'm doing ok at the moment.” I said returning her hand shake.
“ Ok it says here that been getting sick to your stomach and was even throwing up too.
I have one question, what about your periods, how are they.” she asked looking at the chart and was reading what the nurse had written down on it.
“ Well at first I missed a month, but just last week it started but it was only spotted. And there are some smells that make me throw up.” I said as I watched her write down what I'm telling her.
“ I see, I want to get some blood test done really quick, from what you are telling me, it sounds like you're pregnant. Have you done a test on your own?” she asked as she looked at me.
“ Um... I did when I was a week late but it came out negative. Really... oh boy.” was all I could say trying to think of what she was saying could be true, and I too was starting to have a feeling that I was pregnant.
“ Oh ok, when was the last time that you had period that you had full cycle and not just spotting?” she asked as she wrote down what we were saying.
“ I guess it really has been two months.” I said as I began thinking back to when the last period that I had, and that two days before I was to start Nick and I made love.
“ Ok, well I'm going to get the nurse to take some blood and give it fifteen minutes and I'll see what the test says ok.” she said going to the door and opening up before walking out of the room.
I really didn't have time to think, because the nurse came into the room and she headed over to the small desk area and opened the drawer. Then she took out the stuff she was going to use to draw my blood with.
“ Ok this won't hurt ok.” she said as she tied the rubber tourniquet before looking for a vein and putting the needle into my are and undoing the tourniquet.
I just sat there and watched the blood flow into the small tub then the nurse pulled out the needle and asked me to hold the cotton ball. Then she went over to the desk again and picked up the pen and filled out my name and time on the sticker before putting it onto the bottle.
“ The doctor will be back after she has the results of your blood test.” she said before walking out the door.
It was fifteen minutes when there was a knock on the door and Dr. Thompson came walking in with a nurse following with a machine.
“ Well I have news for you, I want to let you know that the test that you took was wrong, you are pregnant and from what you have told me you are two months.” Dr. Thompson said as she came over to me and shook my hand and shook it.
“ Ok, well thanks so I guess we are going to see what my baby looks like.” I said giving her a smile.
“ Yes we are now going to see what your baby looks like.” she said as she began setting up the things for the sonogram.
It was twenty minutes later I was heading for my car and heading home, and on the way home was trying to think of some way to let Nick know that I was pregnant.
Across town someone else was about to get another big surprise of his own too.
Juliette was sitting out of her desk and looking at her computer screen just going through some public documents.
What made her go through the public records from Las Vegas, was because of the picture that came out in People magazine and it looked like him and the girl was more than really close to each and then she saw it. And now she knows why he was very quiet about his time at the reunion, that he had gone to two months ago.
“ Oh my God Nick what have you done.” Juliette said to herself as she saw the Marriage Certificate and made a copy of it.
Then she made a call to court house and got hold of someone who files divorce papers, the person said that there was a divorce filed but the judge had declined the divorce because of something that was in the Marriage Certificate.
Juliette grabbed the copy of the certificate and began reading and sure enough at the very bottom there was a clause that was hand written at the bottom. What was written was a clause that said in no way shape or form can there be a divorce. So in other words Nick is still a married man.
Juliette got up from her seat and headed out of the office door and made her way over to the office at the end of the hall.
“ Hey Tim sorry to interrupt, but may I talk to Nick really quick please.” Juliette asked as she opened Tim's office door.
“ Sure Nick you're free to leave we are done for the day, but I'll talk to you tomorrow at the same time.” Tim said as he nodded over to Nick, who was finishing writing down what they were talking about.
“ Ok I'll see you tomorrow then, hey Julie how are you doing?” Nick asked her when he saw a look come to her face.
“ I was doing better, until I found something. So can you please come with me Nick.” Juliette said with a stern tone in her voice.
Nick got up and followed her down to her office. He knew there was something wrong because she was walking a little faster than normal.
“ Have a seat.” She said as she let Nick in the office first and she shut the door with a loud bang.
“ Um... did I do something wrong?” Nick asked with nervousness in his voice as he watched Juliette began to pace her office.
“ Nick how could you, and why didn't you tell me mostly when I asked you about your time in Vegas.” she said as she stopped pacing and sitting down in her chair.
“ There wasn't anything to really talk about, and what did I do that has your panties in a wad.” Nick said getting even more nervous because Juliette was opening up folder and handing him two pieces of paper.
Nick looked down and saw that top piece of paper was a copy of a Marriage Certificate that had his and Jennifer's names on it.
“ Oh this, well it was a spur of the moment thing, but we got it dissolved when we came back here.” he said putting the paper down on the desk.
“ Well I have some news for you Nick, you're still married.” Juliette said as she nodded towards the paper that he put on her desk.
“ No that's not right, I signed the divorce papers that we both have filed.” he said picking up the paper again and was looking at it again.
“ Well if you see the papers you will see that the judge denied the divorce, all because of something that was written on the marriage certificate. Read the bottom of the page.” she said as she leaned forward and pointed to the area that she wanted Nick to read.
“ Then I will call the court house and talk to the judge myself and try to get him to grant it.” he said as he was about to get up.
“ Save your breath Nick, I did call and talked to the judge after talking to the person who worked in the file department. And the judge told me that there isn't anything he can do because of the clause. So sorry Nick you are stilled married and there is noway to get it dissolved.” she said sitting back and just watched the emotions coming across his face.
Nick got up and left the room without saying anything else to Juliette. He left the building and got into his car and drove off towards his house.
Once he got home he made his way over to his office and looking for a number that he had put in a planner that was in a drawer.
Picking up the planner and founding the phone number; picking up the phone he began dialing the number.
“ Hello?” the person on the other end picked up their phone.
“ Hey Jenn we need to talk, can you meet me for lunch tomorrow?” he said knowing that she was off tomorrow due to the fact that it was the weekend.
“ Um... sure Nick see you tomorrow for lunch then.” I said before we hung up our phones.
Nick hung up his phone and just sat there looking at the picture that was taken by his dad of him and Jennifer, how was he going to tell her that they are still married.
Getting up and going into the kitchen and fixing himself some dinner, Nick took his sandwich and beer up stairs to his bed room.
Four hours later both Nick and Jennifer climbed into their beds and fell into a very restless sleep.

Chapter 6

“ So what are you going to tell him.” Melinda said as we headed down to the grocery store.
“ I really don't know. I spent most of the night tossing and turning and trying to come up with a way to tell him.” I said as Melinda stopped at the red light.
“ Well you need to think of something after all you did tell him that you had something to tell him.” she said as she got into the turn lane so we could turn into the shopping center.
“ Yeah I know, I told him that I had to tell him something I just wonder how he is going to take it though.” I said as she drove around the parking lot until she found an empty parking space.
We got out of the car had headed inside the store and began doing our grocery shopping. I was in the baking area looking at the different icings trying to figure out which one I wanted to put on the Twinkies that I was craving. Now I know that I'm truly pregnant because I'm starting to crave weird things. I was reaching for the Cream Cheese frosting when my phone began to ring.
“ Hello?” I said as I answer the phone and putting the frosting into my buggy and reaching for the Vanilla, Chocolate and the German Chocolate frostings.
“ Hey Jenn, I was seeing if we are still on for lunch today?” Nick asked as he drove back from Brent's house.
“ Yeah we are still on, so where do you want to meet at?” I asked as I left the baking isle and headed down the can goods.
“ Ok meet me at the Applebee's in Brandon on Providence Road.” Nick said as he stopped at the red light.
“ Yeah sure that sounds great the one in Brandon will be find.” I said as I made my way over to the ice cream section.
“ Ok then I'll see you there, bye for now.” Nick said as he pulled into his neighborhood.
“ Bye for now.” I said as Melinda came up to me and shook her head when she saw the stuff that I had in my cart.
“ I can see that you are having your cravings now.” she said with a small laugh as she nodded to my stuff.
“ Yeah I know I just can't make up my mind what I wanted so I thought it would be a good idea just to get every thing that I was starting to crave all at one time you know.” I said as we started heading towards the front of the store and to the check out lanes.
We got our groceries and then head home. Once there I put away my groceries I headed to my bedroom and started getting ready for my lunch with Nick.
“ Hey Jenn I'm leaving now, if you need any thing just give me a call or Steve ok.” Melinda said as she stood outside my bedroom door.
“ Ok, oh tell Steve if he still needs help with the charity event that is happening at the aquarium next weekend, I'll help out. And we can work something out over the week.” I said coming out of the closet holding a pair of pants and T-shirt.
“ Ok I will let him know that you want to help out with the event next weekend, we are still looking for more people to help out.” she said before heading down the hall way to the front door, I followed her and let her out of the house.
“ Ok, I'll see if I can get some more people to help out. Well bye for now.” I said standing in the doorway and watched her get to her car and opened the door.
“ Ok bye for now and hope to see you next weekend then.” she said getting into her car and began to drive off as I shut and locked the front door.
I went back to me bedroom and began getting ready for my lunch date with Nick. Once I was dressed, I grabbed my keys and bag went out to my car.
I drove out of my neighborhood and turned left onto the S. Tamiami Trail and traveled north. I kept traveling north until the S. Tamiami turns into S. 50th street. Keep heading north until I got to 676 or also known as 22nd street. Turning right on that road I kept going now East until 22nd street turns into Causeway Blvd. This later slips up four lanes with a divider in the middle. This is were a lot of stores and restaurants are at due to small outlet shopping center. Coming up to Providence Road I turned left and went a couple of blocks before coming up to the restaurant on my right hand side.
Pulling into the parking lot I saw Nick's Escalade parked closed to the back of the restaurant, I parked right next to him and he got out of his vehicle and came over to mine.
“ Hey Jenn, how are you doing today?” Nick asked as he opened my car door for me.
“ Hey Nick, I'm doing pretty good and how are you doing?” I said getting out of the car and moving to the side so Nick could shut the car door for me.
“ I'm doing pretty good too.” he said moving closer to me and leaning down and giving me a kiss.
I stood up on my tip toes some and returned his kiss, he pulled away and gave me a smile as I returned it.
“ We better go inside and get something to eat, because I'm hungry.” I said with a small laugh and was also hoping that there was no one around watching us.
“ Ok, I'm hungry too.” he said taking hold of my hand and we headed for the restaurant.
We walked into the restaurant and the hostess that was there almost went into shock as she saw who was standing in front of her.
“ Um... how many?” she asked looking like she was going to scream.
“ There are two of us, can we sit at one of the tables in the bar area?” Nick asked the hostess as he looked around and saw that the bar area was empty.
“ Sure follow me please.” she said as she headed off towards the bar area.
Coming up to one of the tall tables that was far away from the other guests so that way we can talk without talking loud to each other.
“ Thanks this will be fine, oh can you make sure that we don't have people sitting to close to us please?” I asked just hoped that she would grant my request.
“ Sure I will make sure these tables stay empty.” she said laying down our menus and nodding to me before she turned away and left us.
“ Ok why did you ask that from her?” Nick asked as he helped me with my stool.
“ Well I have something to tell you and I really don't want anyone to hear what I have to say that's all.” I said putting my bag into the other stool next to me, while Nick took the other stool that was next to me.
“ Ok I understand that because there is something that I need to tell you too, and I really don't want anyone to hear what I have to say too. I just want this between the two of us.” he said sitting down in stool chair and picking up the menu in front of him and began looking at it.
“ Oh ok that's fine too.” I said picking up my menu and began looking at just as our waiter came up to us.
“ Hello guys, I'm Justin and I will be your server for the day. What can I get you guys to drink?” Justin said as he introduced himself to us.
“ I would like sweet tea please with lemon.” Nick said as he looked at me and smiled.
“ I too would like sweet tea with lemon.” I said looking back at him and also smiling at him.
“ Ok I have two sweet teas with lemon, be back with your drinks.” Justin said as he turned away and head behind the bar and began getting our drink orders.
“ I have a question for you Nick?” I asked as figured out what I wanted and put my menu down on the table.
“ Ok, what is your question that you have for me.” he said taking my hand and began to hold it.
“ Um... what are you doing next weekend mostly on Saturday?” I asked as I watched him play with my fingers on my right hand.
“ Nothing why?” he said stroking the top of my hand.
“ Well I was wondering if you would like to help out at an charity event that is taking place at the aquarium and they are looking for some celebrities to do it. You can think about and give my producer a call, it's his wife that is putting this thing together. You know her she was at the reunion with us.” I said as the waiter came back with our teas and waited for us to give him our food orders.
Funny thing is we both got the same thing and we laughed when we realized that we were having the same thing for lunch.
“ Sure I'll think about it and give him a call and let him know if I decide to do it. Do you remember what we did in Vegas?” Nick asked as he took a sip of his tea.
“ Um... yeah we got married... but filed for a divorce when I returned here... why are you asking?” I asked having a feeling that something was wrong.
“ Yeah, well the bad thing is the judge denied the divorce.” he said taking another sip of the tea.
“ What ... how... why?” I asked can't believe what I was hearing, my marriage is still legal and I'm not divorced.
“ Well it seems that down on the bottom of the certificate we had made some kind of clause that says we can't get a divorce or have the marriage dissolved in any way shape or form.” He said the very last word as Justin came to our table with our food.
“ Oh ok, well I have another thing for you, well I haven't been feeling to good lately so I went to the doctor yesterday, and I it was there that I learned ... um... Nick I'm pregnant and before you say it isn't yours well all I can say is yes the baby is your's because I'm two months.” I said as tears started coming to my eyes, and I was also afraid the now he will get up and leave me sitting here.
“ Oh boy that's truly heavy, well I can't say that I'm not truly surprise, but I can promise you one thing Jenn. And that is I will always be there for you and our baby.” he said taking my hand and held it as I tried to dry my eyes.
“ Um... thanks Nick... but what about the marriage thing what are we going to do about that part?” I asked somewhat calming down so that way I could take a sip of my tea.
“ We will think of something, but first let's try and finish eating our lunch and then we can go some where after here?” he said letting go of my hand and grabbed one of his fries and ate it.
“ Sure that sounds fine to me.” I said taking hold of my hamburger and started eating.
We continue eating our lunch as we made small talk and we talked about what we had done over the past week.
After eating we headed back to our cars, and Nick took my keys from me and unlocked the door before opening it for me.
“ Follow me to my place and we can go out on my boat for a little bit.” he said as he watched me buckle up my seat belt.
“ Ok that sounds great it's been a while since I have been out on a boat.” I said rolling down the window and Nick shut the door.
“ Yeah I haven't been on it in a while too.” Nick said as leans over and I lean forward some so that way we could kiss each other goodbye for now.
Nick pulled away and then getting into his Escalade and we both headed down towards his house.
We had gone down to Sarasota sat down on the beach for a little bit and then went to dinner before heading back to house.
“ I had a great time, and if you can think of something of what we can do with our marriage just let me know and I will let you know if I come up with something.” I said as we walked to my car.
“ Ok that sounds fine, and I too had a great time. I'll give you a call in a couple of days, so that way I can think about what has happen today.” he said leaning forward on my car as I sat there trying not to cry.
“ Ok, and I can tell Steve that you will be at the event on Saturday?” I said starting up the car and turning down the music.
“ Yeah tell him that I will be there. You drive safely and can you give me a call to let me know that you got there fine.” he said before giving me a goodbye kiss.
I drove home and trying to think straight of all the things that happen today, man Nick and I are still married that's so hard to believe.
When I got inside the house I called Nick to let him know that I'm home and everything was locked up for the night. Then I went to the closet and pulled down a small box that I put up there when I got back from Vegas.
Going through the box I came across a small box and opened it up and saw my wedding rings, and under the small box was a piece of paper. Picking it up and unfolding it I started reading and saw that it was the wedding certificate and looked down at the bottom of it and sure enough there was the hand written clause saying that we could never get a divorce or have it dissolved in any way shape and form.
Putting the paper back into the box I took the small ring box and bring it over to my bed and putting it onto the nightstand.
Getting undress I climbed into bed and fell into another restless night sleep.

Chapter 7

“ Jenn I want to thank you for your help, and how did you get Nick to do this for us. I called his people they said that he was busy and wouldn't be able to do this event.” Steve said as he looked around at all the people that was standing around talking and some was even looking at the fish that were swimming around in the huge tank.
“ Yeah they told Nick not to do this, but the thing that he had to do was canceled due to the fact that one of the people that he was going to work with had an emergency and the other person got sick; so his time got freed up. And they said yes since there wasn't anything for him to do.” I said taking a sip of the drink that I had in my hand. And there is no alcohol in it.
“ Oh I see, well I'm glad that what ever it was, was canceled. Oh Mr. Carter I was telling Jenn here that I'm very glad that you could join us here today.” Steve said as Nick came up to us.
“ Hello there, and thank you for the inviting me here, I'm really enjoying myself and it's been a while since I've seen the aquarium, and I like what they have done here.” Nick said as he came up to me and put his arm round me and nodded over to the tank that had the two sharks swimming in it.
“ Thanks and you can thank my wife Dr. Melinda Phillips. She is the head of the research department of the Marine Biology here at the aquarium.” Steve said as he motion towards Melinda who was talking to one of the council people who had donated a huge amount of money to the aquarium.
“ Yeah I know Melinda we went to school together along with Jenn here.” Nick said as he nodded towards Melinda who nodded back at him.
“ Yeah Mel told me that she went to school with you for a little bit before you left school and started the Backstreet Boys.” Steve said as Melinda began heading towards his and Nick's way.
“ Nick thank you for coming and it's a pleasure to see you again.” Melinda said as she came over and gave him a hug.
“ Mel it's so great to see you again, and the pleasure is all mine.” Nick said as he returned her hug.
“ Well it's time for the show.” Steve said as he one of the guys flash the lights to let everyone know that it's time for the charity auction.
Three hours later Nick and I were heading back to my house.
“ I have been thinking Jenn.” Nick said as we stopped at the red light that leads away from Port of Tampa.
“ Oh and what have you been thinking about.” I asked and turn towards him and saw him smiling as he looked straight ahead.
“ Well I was thinking about us living together, we don't have to sleep together but just live say like room mates more or less. For the baby's sake that is.” He said moving only his eyes towards me.
“ Oh really and you know what I too was thinking the very same thing, but we are just friends and for our baby's sake.” I said as I took hold of Nick's hand and just held it.
“ Then I guess it's settled we live together, but on one condition though, we get to see other people.” Nick said as he squeezed my hand as to make me agree to what he was saying.
“ So you really don't believe in marriage do you Nick?” I asked sounding somewhat upset for what he was of me.
“ Yes and No, I guess you can blame my parents for that, it's what I saw through their marriage that I don't really want anything to do with being married; but then there are times that I want to be married and have a family so that way I would have someone to carry on my name.” he said as we stopped again just before we turned on the Tamiami Trail and heading down to my home.
“ Yeah from what I saw and heard too from BJ, I can understand what you are talking about they were pretty nasty to each other towards the end of their marriage. And you can say I understand where you're coming from. But if you need anything just ask me. I'm always there for you no matter what and if you want to see other girls then I guest I will grant your wishes.” I said looking out the window and watching the other cars go by.
“ Ok, Well I guess I can start moving in after next week, because I have to go to Sweden to do some recording for the next three weeks.” He said pulling into my neighborhood.
“ Ok that sounds fine, what I'll do is get a key made for you so that way you can move things in when I'm not here.” I said as I saw Mrs. Hamilton walking down the street with her yapping little dog.
“ Ok that sounds great, I think I'll call Chris and get him to help me and what stuff that I don't need at the moment I can put in a storage place or sale it or something.” Nick said as he turned into my driveway.
“ Ok that's good, great Mrs. Hamilton will be talking about us oh well. Thanks for coming and I hope that you had a great time.” I said unbuckling my seat belt.
“ I take it that she is your nosy neighbor and she will spill the news of us being together.” Nick said as he unbuckled his belt.
“ Yeah she will tell the whole neighborhood too.” I said as I heard Mrs. Hamilton's dog barking at something and they were close by too.
“ Great, just when I thought I could get away from nosy people.” he said as I leaned towards him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
“ Tell me about it.” was all I got to say before Nick put his hand around the back of my head and pulled it closer to him.
He leaned even closer to me as he pulled me closer and I felt his lips upon mine and we began making out in the car.
“ Um ... Nick I think we should stop, or you can come in and we can continue this inside the house.” I said moving away from him and trying to catch my breath.
“ You're right, but I think I better get going. I'll call you tomorrow to give you more info about the stuff that I will be doing over the next few weeks.” he said sitting back up in his seat and began to buckle up his seat belt.
“ Oh ok, I talk to ya later then.” I said getting a little upset because he didn't want to have sex with me, but yet he would screw his groupies.
Getting out of the car I waved bye and watched him pull out of the drive way before walking up the walk way to the front door.
Unlocking the door, and walked into the house. Putting my purse on the small table that I have set up in the entry way.
Chessie came up to me and began weaving around my legs and meowing at me.
“ Hey baby, come on sweetie lets see what we can find on TV.” I said to the cat as I picked him up and carried him into the den.
Sitting down on the couch and putting Chessie on the back of the couch where he laid down and watched me taking off my shoes before reaching for the remote. Turning it on I began to surf the channels for something to watch. And what I found was the food channel that had something good to watch.
A month has passed since Nick and I thought it was a great idea for him to move in, and three days after he came home from Sweden he moved in with the help from Chris. Of course I was out of town when he moved in, because my dad got sick so I flew out to New York to help my mom out with him.
And of course Nick has been seeing other girls but he was thoughtful enough not to bring them here, they would go to the girl's house or to one of his other houses that he has.
I stopped at the red light and waited for the light to turn green my phone began to ring.
“ Hello?” I said as I answered the phone.
“ Hey Jenn, when are you leaving work?” Nick asked as he walked out of his room and headed for the kitchen.
“ I have already left, I needed to get a few things from the store, so do you need anything while I'm here?” I asked as turned into the shopping center that the grocery store was in.
“ Um... yeah I need some toothpaste, what are you getting for dinner tonight?” Nick asked as he looked into the fridge and trying to find something to eat.
“ Ok toothpaste I was thinking about getting some chicken, I'm thinking mostly roasted chicken, with corn and mash potatoes.” I said finding a parking space close to the store.
“ Yum that sounds so great, I guess I can wait until dinner to get something to eat.” Nick said closing the fridge door and opening the bottle of water that he had gotten out of the fridge.
“ Ok, well I start dinner when I get home, Oh can you feed Chessie for me please.” I said getting out of the car and walking across the parking lot and walking into the building.
I grabbed a buggy and began walking in the produce department and getting stuff that I need from there.
“ Ok not a problem, well the phone is about to die so I better get going, see you when you get here.” Nick said as his phone began to beep to let him know that his phone is about to die.
“ Ok see you in about forty-five minutes to an hour then.” I said before we hung up our phones.
I walked up and down isles picking up the stuff that I needed and then the last thing I went to was the deli so that way I could get the chicken, corn and mash potatoes. Then it was thirty minutes later I was walking out of the store and putting the groceries into the car.
It was thirty minutes later I was pulling into the drive way, and parking next to Nick's car.
He came out and helped me get the groceries inside the house. He began putting the stuff away as I started putting dinner together and heating it up in the over.
Fifteen minutes later Nick and I were sitting in the den watching TV while we ate our dinner.
“ Oh tomorrow the crib and dressing table will be delivered here so is there anyway you can be here?” I asked as the commercial came on the TV.
“ Sure I was going to play basketball with Brent and Chris, but they had some things come up so I'm not going any where. I'll be here writing some songs while I'm waiting for the items.” he said getting up and taking my empty plate and his; and walking into the kitchen and putting the plates into the dishwasher.
“ Thanks Nick, I would be here but I have to be at the Arena for Britney Spears' concert that is taking place tomorrow night and I have to give a small interview before her show. I should be here around eight or nine.” I said sitting further back on the couch and trying to get somewhat comfy.
“ Ok, well I do have a date for tomorrow night so I may or may not be home when you get here, it just depends on how things go with Kallie.” Nick said as he came back into the room and sat back down on the couch and took my feet in his lap and began rubbing them.
“ Ok well I hope you have a great time then, thanks Nick that feels really great, they are starting to swell up now.” I said as I laid back and closed my eyes as I felt Nick rubbing my feet and making them feel some better.
Two hours later we were saying good night to each other and heading into our bedrooms and going to bed.

Chapter 8

“ So are you ready for lunch?” Nick asked as his girlfriend of the week sat down in the passenger seat.
“ Hey Nick, yeah I've waited all day for this.” Summer said as Nick got into the car and leaned over and gave her a kiss.
“ That's great for I too have been waiting for lunch today, I thought we head over to Black Opal Seafood Restaurant.” Nick said as he buckled his seat belt.
“ Oh man I love that place, it's been a while since I have been there in awhile. Oh before I forget my parents wanted me to ask you for dinner this weekend. Daddy is planning to take the boat out and thought we head down to the Keys for a week.” Summer said as Nick headed down to Treasure Island Causeway before turning on to the road that will take them over to the other side of St. Petersburg to the where the restaurant is.
“ Oh...um... I'll have to see what is going on and I'll let you know tomorrow. Man I haven't been down in the Keys since the race in Marathon, I was thinking about coming down here in November when the World Championship Races are going to be held in Key West, my boat is going to be racing down there.” Nick said as he stopped at the read light and had to wait for the bridge to go down before continuing on to the restaurant.
“ Really I heard that you had a team, I would love to see a race. When I was little I saw a race over in Sarasota.” Summer said as she took a hold of Nick's hand and held it.
Nick looked over to Summer and gave her a smile and he squeezed her hand before lifting it to his lips and gave it a kiss.
“ Hey maybe you can come to the next race with me it's going to be in South Carolina.” Nick said as he stopped a red light and was coming up to the road that he had to turn onto.
“ I wonder how Jenn is doing in California, man I wish I was there with her.” Nick thought to himself as he turned into the parking lot of the restaurant, which was right on the water.
“ Hey Nick are you there?” Summer asked as she looked over to Nick and notice that he was in somewhat deep thought.
“ What? Oh sorry, I was thinking of a friend of mine who is away on a project in California.” Nick said as he came out of his deep thought of Jennifer.
“ Oh ok I asked if you wanted to go to Treasure Island afterwards and play a game of mini-golf or something like that.” Summer asked as Nick pulled into an empty parking space.
“ Sure that sounds great, I haven't played mini-golf in a long time.” Nick said as he unbuckled his seatbelt and shut off the engine to the car.
“ Ok, I just hope there aren't to many people playing you know what I mean.” she said as she just remembered who she was with, and hope that his fans weren't around to bug them; so they could have fun together.
They got out of the car and headed into the restaurant, and they were seated right by the window so that way they could watch the boats coming into docks and into the bay.
After lunch they did head over to Treasure Island to play mini-golf but it started raining so they headed back to Summer's house. And since her parents where gone to Hawaii there wasn't anyone home so they were free to do any thing they wanted. So they spent the rest of the day in Summer's bed.
Nick was sitting on the deck of Summer's family's boat and they were about to head out to go down to the Keys for the week.
“ It's so great that you could join us for this week.” Summer said as she came up behind him and wrapped her arms around him.
“ It was nice that your father and mother had invited me. I can't wait to show you some of the reefs, they are beautiful.” Nick said as he pulled her around and pulled her down onto his lap.
“ Man I can't wait either, and maybe we could take on one of they ghost tours too. I hear there are lots of haunted places down there.” she said as her father was talking to one of the guys who's boat was docked next to theirs.
Then Nick heard some strange music and that's when he realized it was his cell phone ringing.
“ Hello?” Nick said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.
“ Hello, I'm looking for a Mr. Nickolas Carter?” the lady asked as she looked down at the phone number on sheet of paper that was in front of her.
“ Um... this is him... so how can I help you?” Nick asked as he looked at Summer and shrugged his shoulders when she mouthed who is.
“ Mr. Carter, this is Nurse Sara Mitchell at Emory Hospital.” she said as was trying to find a way to tell him about his friend.
“ Um... is there something wrong?” Nick asked wondering why a nurse calling him from a hospital unless.
“ Yes... sir there is.. we have a Ms. Fredrick here and we have to call the person who is on her emergency numbers to call.” the nurse said as she looked at the small card and looked for any other numbers but not finding any.
“ Ok I see, can you tell me what is wrong with Jenny?” Nick asked as he gently pushed Summer off his lap.
“ She was in an accident and at the moment she is in a coma.” the nurse said as read the chart that she pulled down from the shelf that was beside her.
“ Oh My, um... what about the baby... is it ok?” he said getting up out of the chair and heading to where Summer's dad was as he was loading the boat up.
“ Baby... Oh my we didn't know that she was pregnant, but I will go and let the doctor know right now.” the nurse said as she was about to hang up the phone.
“ Ok, I will try and get on the next flight out, and I will have a friend of mind take me to the hospital. I will be there in a few hours.” Nick said as he hung up his phone.
“ Ok Nick if you want to go and find a place to sit we will be leaving now.” Summer's dad said as he came onto the boat.
“ Um... I'm sorry sir... but there is an emergency and I have to leave... bye Summer I'll give you a call later... when I know what is going on with Jen.” Nick said as he turned to Summer and gave her a kiss goodbye, then he got off the boat and headed over to his car.
Getting into the car he opened the consult that was between the seats and found a small book that had phone numbers in it. Looking through he found the airline.
“ Thank you for calling Delta, the is Rena how can I help you.” the person on the other end of the line answered their phone.
“ Hello, I need the next flight out to Atlanta, there is an emergency there and I have to be there.” Nick said as he was getting a little upset.
“ Ok, well let see I have flight that is leaving in hour. I need the name and how you are going to pay for it.” the lady asked as she got on her computer.
“ Yes that would be fine, the name is Nickolas G. Carter. And I will pay cash for the ticket. And at the moment it will be one way flight.” Nick said as he started up the car and began heading for the airport.
“ Ok can you please spell your first name.” Rena said as she got to the space that called for first names.
“ Ok it's spelled N.I.C.K.O.L.A.S. And do you need my whole middle name?” Nick asked as he pulled onto the highway that headed towards the airport.
“ Ok, I just need the first letter of your middle name and last name, followed by your address and phone number please.” Rena said as she went over to the space on the computer.
“ Ok the middle name starts with the letter G, and the last name is Carter. The address is,1112 Jumana Loop, Apollo Beach.” Nick said as he got on to another road that will take him to the airport too.
“ Ok Mr. Carter how do you spell the road that you live on.” she asked as she got to the street line.
“ It's spelled J.U.M.A.N.A.” Nick said as he pulled into the next lane and sped up some so that way he could get to the airport faster.
“ Ok now I need a phone number please.” she asked as she came to the phone number line.
“ Um... it's unlisted and it's a private number really.” Nick said as he put the small booklet back into the consult.
“ Ok that's fine, I'll put N/A. Ok the price is $250.00 for one way. And it is a 45 minute flight.” Rena said as she started giving Nick instructions on how to get his ticket.
After getting the information on his tickets he hung up his phone and looked for another number.
“ Hello?” the female voice said as she answered the phone.
“ Hey Leigh, it's Nick.” Nick said as she turned into the lane that was the exit for the airport.
“ Hey Nick this is a surprise, so what I can I do for you. You sound upset.” Leighanne said as she gave Baylee his juice.
“ I will coming into Atlanta in about two hours, I have a friend who is was in an accident and she is in the hospital up there.” Nick said as he found the parking deck and stopped at the gate and punched the button to get a ticket.
“ Oh I see, I can have Brian pick you up at the airport and even take you to the hospital if you want him too.” she said as Brian walked into the room and gave her a look when she said his name.
“ Ok thanks that would be great. Well the plane leaves in hour and it's forty-five minute flight. So if he can meet me at the front that would be great and if he could take me to the hospital so I could be with Jenny.” Nick said as he found a space and parked into an empty space.
“ Ok I'll have him do that, and who is this Jenny that has you coming up here?” Leighanne asked and saw Brian shake his head when he listen to what Leighanne was asking Nick.
“ She is a close friend of mine, we grew up and went to school together, and that's all.” Nick said as he unbuckled his belt and got out of his car and made his way across the parking deck.
“ Ok I see, I'll see when you get here.” Leighanne said before hanging up her phone.
Nick walked into the building and he headed for the ticket counter.
“ Hello and how can I help you?” the lady at the counter asked Nick as he came up to the first class counter.
“ Um... yeah I talked to a Rena and she had booked a one way ticket to Atlanta.” Nick said as he looked for his ID and money.
“ Oh you must be Mr. Carter, yes I have your ticket right here, I just need to see some ID and you wanted to pay for this with Cash correct.” Rena asked as she pulled the ticket from the rack that held other tickets.
“ Yes ma'am I'm the one you talked to and here is the ID and yes it's cash.” Nick said as he handed her the ID.
“ Ok do you have any bags to check in?” she asked looking at him and noticed that he didn't have any bags with him.
“ As you can see I don't have any bags, I was on a boat about to head down to the Keys when I got a call saying a friend of mine is in the hospital. And I really need to get there as soon as I can.” he said getting a little more upset because he knows that Jenny needs him up where she is at.
“ Ok Mr. Carter, I'm sorry to hear about your friend, ok it will be $250.00 please.” she said as she gave him a warm smile to show him that she understood what he was saying and trying her best to get him to his friend.
After Nick paid for his ticket he left there and headed for a small restaurant so that way he could get him something to eat really quickly. Thirty minutes later he passed security and made his way to his gate. While he sat there his only thought was on Jenny and their baby, and hoping that both of them where going to be ok.
Hour and half later Nick was walking out of the airport in Atlanta and looking for Brian, just hoping that he didn't get stuck in the traffic that Atlanta is known to have.
Nick turned when a BMW pulled up to the curb and the horn honked before the window rolled down.
“ Yo Nick, hop in.” Brian yelled out the window as he leaned towards the passenger side so Nick could see him.
“ Hey Bri, thanks so much for doing this.” Nick said as he got into the car and buckled up.
“ Hey it's not a problem, this girl must really mean a lot to you for you to come all the way up here and to be with her while she is in the hospital.” Brian said as he pulled away from the curb and they headed off towards the express way.
“ Yeah, you can say I left one girl so I could be with Jenny.” Nick said as he stared out the window and not really seeing anything as Brian zoomed thru traffic.
“ Whoa that's deep Nick, do you love this girl that your going to see, and what about the person you just left.” Brian asked as he got into the HOV lane.
“ I'm not sure what I feel at the moment, you can say that yes I care very much for Jenny, but I'm not so sure about love. Oh man and I just left Summer with her parents we were all heading down to the Keys for the week. I'm I love Summer, but not with my heart you know what I mean.” Nick said as he sat there trying to figure out his feelings for both Jennifer and Summer and all he got was confusement.
“ Ouch, you where with a girl and her parents, I would say you were in deep there. Ok what hospital is your friend in, Leighanne just told me that you coming and to take you to a hospital she didn't say which one.” Brian said as he looked over to Nick and saw that he was trying to sort out his feelings for both girls.
“ Oh sorry um I believe the nurse said that she was at Emory Hospital. Do you know where it is?” Nick said as he began going over his feelings for Summer and coming up with just someone to fuck at the moment. And that he really didn't love her at all.
But as for Jennifer, that was going to take some really hard thinking over because his feelings for her was well something that he never truly felt before.
Brian just nodded and sped up as he took Nick over to one of the best hospitals around.
“ You don't have to come with me B-Rok.” Nick said as both him and Brian got out of the car and headed for the hospital.
“ I don't want you to face this alone Nick, I want you to know that I'm here for you and Jennifer.” Brain said as the walked into the lobby of the hospital and Nick made his way to the information desk.
“ Hey there and what can I help you with today?” the elderly lady asked Nick as he came up to her.
“ Um... Yes I'm looking for Ms. Jennifer Leigh Fredrick, she is a patient here.” Nick said as he gave the lady Jennifer's name.
“ Ok she is room 4040 in the ICU section.” the lady said as she looked up from the computer.
“ Thank you so very much.” Nick said as he and Brian went over to the elevators and waited for one of them to come to the lobby.
When and elevator came both of them got on and Brian pushed the 4 button and they headed up to the floor in total silence.
Once on the ICU floor they both headed over to the nurse's station and saw one of the nurses writing on a chart.
“ Um... hello?” Nick said as he tried to get the nurse's attention.
“ Oh hello can I help you sir.” she said looking up and then had a surprise look come across her face when she realized that Nick Carter and Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys were standing in front of her.
“ Um... yes I'm here to see Ms. Jennifer Leigh Fredrick.” Nick said as he gave the lady that famous Carter smirk.
“ Ms. Fredrick... oh I see here that she can only have family to visit her at the moment.” the nurse said as she looked up Jennifer's chart information.
“ Oh I see... when I got a call earlier asking me to come up here... and yes I'm family... for you see I'm her husband.” Nick said as he heard Brian cough in total surprise.
“ Oh ok then her room is right over there just follow me please.” she said as she got up and lead both Nick and Brian over to the close door that was across from the station.
“ Nick you never told me that you were married.” Brian said as they followed the nurse.
“ Well yeah you can say that I wanted it to keep quiet about it that's all.” Nick said as he walked into the room and saw Jennifer just laying there with a tube down her throat and IVs all over her arms.
Nick went over to Jennifer's side and took her hand and held it in his.
“ I'm here baby and I'm not going to leave you I promise.” Nick said as he leaned forward and whispered in her ear, and only he noticed that her eyes moved.
Brian just stood there and trying to get over the fact that his little bro was now a married man, and from what he saw he could tell that Jennifer was really different from all the other girls, Nick truly and deeply loved this girl now Nick just had to learn that for himself.
After Brian left Nick just laid his head down on the bed beside Jennifer and just praying that she will wake up and that their baby was going to be ok.
The doctor came in and told him that when she came in that she was bleeding and that they had stopped the bleeding and now it was only a matter of time to see if the baby survived.
And it later that night when Nick finally came to terms with his feelings for Jennifer and that he found out how deeply in love with her he was and that from now on he was going to be the best husband that he could be, and that he really wanted to make his marriage work.
An orderly came in with a small bed and the night nurse told Nick that he needed to go to sleep.
So he climbed on to the small cot pulled the covers over him and fell into a dreamful sleep that showed him what his and Jennifer's live could be like.
A very happy and complete life with each other and their children.

Chapter 9

It has been two weeks since I was hospitalize, from a car accident that I was in and now I’m here laying in the darkness, even though I’m now awake, I feel that I’m somewhat in a fog.
“Morning Nick, I thought that maybe you would like something to eat.” Leighanne said as she and Brian came walking into room.
“Huh … what… oh hey Leigh-Leigh and B, oh thank you.” Nick said as he got up off the cot and came over to Leighanne and took the bag that she held out to him.
“You’re welcome, it may not be much but it will kill the hunger. I’ll set your coffee over here on the tray when you are ready for it.” Brian said as he put the cup down on the tray.
“Thanks, so what are you guys doing here?” Nick said as he sat back down on the cot.
“Well I had to come and hear it for myself. Is it true in what Brian told me, you are married?” Leighanne said as she opened up her wrapper from her breakfast sandwich.
“I see, well to answer your question yes it’s true that Jennifer and I are married, and we are expecting a baby too.” Nick said as he took a bite out of his breakfast sandwich.
“ Oh I see well I congurate you and Jennifer, and I want you to know that I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers, and hope that she wakes up soon from the her coma, and also pray for the baby too.” Leighanne said as she gave Nick a small smile.
“ Morning Nick, Oh I see that you have visitors. I’m Bonnie, I will be Jennifer’s nurse today, and we will be having an ultrasound machine coming up this morning so that we can see how the baby is doing. Let me get over please so that way I can do her vitals and then I’ll let you have this spot back ok.” Bonnie said as she and Brian traded places so that way she could do the vital signs.
“ Ok well I’m going to go and get her breakfast so I’ll be right back so far everything is normal, and she isn’t running a fever today which is good.” She said as she and Brian moved back into their places and she left the room so she could get Jennifer’s liquid breakfast.
“ Well that’s a great thing that she is doing fine, the only thing we need is for her to wake up from the coma.” Brian said as he began fixing his coffee.
“ Yeah, I just wish that she would wake up, so that way I can take her home. The court date for the person who hit her is coming up in two weeks, and I hope the punk ass gets what is coming to him you know.” Nick said getting up and picking the cup of coffee that was sitting on the tray.
“ If you want we can go to the trial with you if you want us too.” Brian said as he took a sip of his coffee and almost burned his tongue.
“ Sure that sounds great, and I really do hope that bastard gets what is coming to him.” Nick said as took his coffee and took a sip of the coffee.
“ You know I don’t swear that much, I do agree with you sweetie, that bastard does need to pay.” Leighanne said and both Brian and Nick looked at her in total shock because of what she had said.
“ Ok here we go, and I hate to say this but I need everyone to clear the room for a little bit, because they need to do the ultrasound now.” Bonnie said as she came back into the room and was followed by the ultrasound tech.
“ Morning everyone, I just have to move the bed that is here, and if the father is here then he can stay, but I have to have everyone else to please step outside the room so I can do this ok.” The tech said as she went over to the cot and folded it up so that she can move it into the corner so that way she could move the machine over to the left side.
“ Well bro we have to get going, because Leighanne’s sister has to go somewhere, and she can only stay with Baylee for an hour more. Give us a call if anything else changes ok, love ya bro.” Brian said as he came over to Nick and gave him a brotherly hug, before Leighanne came over and did the same thing.
“ Ok I will and thank you for breakfast, and coming to stay with me for a little bit. Give my love to Baylee, and see you soon.” Nick said as he return both Leighanne and Brian’s hugs.
Brian and Leighanne walked out of the room and headed home so that way Leighanne’s sister could go do what ever it was that she need to do.
Nick went over to the chair that was on the right side of the bed and sat down and just watched the tech do what she had to do.
“ Well Mr. Carter I do have wonderful news for you and if you like you can hear it for yourself, the baby is fine. “ the tech said as she gave Nick a smile and then unplugged the headphones from the machine so that way Nick could hear the heartbeats of the baby.
“ Oh man that is a wonderful sound, hey baby do you hear that our baby is doing fine.” Nick said as he grabbed my hand and held, as he told me that our baby was doing fine, and then I felt a tear drop hit my hand, and Nick began to cry.
“ I will leave you alone now and let your nurse know that she can hook up the IV now, you both have a great day, and here is picture of the baby. Because the way the legs are we can’t tell what the sex is.” The tech is as she made a copy of the picture of the baby.
“ It’s ok we don’t want to know what we are having.” Nick said with a smile on his face as he took the picture from the lady.
The lady got up and put the stuff up before she pushed the machine out of the room and headed back downstairs to radiology so she could put the machine up and do what she needed to do.
“ Ok lets get this hooked up and flowing in her, I’ll be back in an hour ok and you have a great day.” Bonnie said as she came into the room and began the IV.
“ I know that you are here with me Jen. Please baby girl wake up, I can’t last a much longer without you, I know I keep telling myself that we just married because we where drunk and stupid, but now I know that isn’t true. That’s because I have learn that I love you more than anything, and I can’t live with out you so please baby wake up and come back to me, I love you with all my heart and soul.” Nick said as he took a hold of my hand and just held it as he begged me to wake up from my coma, and even began to cry.
I was trying to wake up to let him know that I could hear what he was saying and that I loved him too.
“ Um… Nick… I love … you… too….” I manage to say and squeezing his hand.
“ Oh My God Jenny you’re awake.” Nick said in total surprise as he heard me talk to him.
“ Yes… I’m … a… wake….” Was all I could say because the tube was in my way.
Nick called for the nurse and she said that once the protein bag emptied out she was going to see about taking the tube out off my throat so that way I could breath on my own.
Four hours later I was fully awake, and breathing on my own, even though I was still hurting deep inside me so that was one reason why they didn’t want to move me around so much, and the other reason is they didn’t want me to start bleeding again and miscarried the baby.
It was around 9 pm when the nurse came back into the room and gave me something that wouldn’t hurt the baby, but it made me go to sleep.
At one point in the middle of the night I woke up and saw Nick laying down in the cot sound a sleep.
I just closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

Chapter 10

“ Hey Jenn welcome back.” Eddy said as I came walking into the studio.
“ Hey Eddy, Olivia it’s so great to see you guys.” I said sitting down in the chair and begin looking over the play list and some of the stuff that we were going to talk about on today’s show.
“ I’m so glad that you are back, because now we can gang up on Eddy and the rest of the guys.” Olivia said as she gave Eddy and evil look, and then laughed to show that she was only joking.
“ You are so on.” I said also laughing as I unpeeled by banana.
The produce told us that we had one minute before we had to go on the air.
After the first set of commercials the director tapped on the glass and let us know that we had visitors that were here to see us.
The studio door opened up and Nick and Brian came walking into the room and came over to us.
“ Hey guys so please join us and have lets have some fun.” I said as I motion for Nick and Brian to have a seat next to us and Olivia went to get two extra headphones and microphones.
“ Thanks for letting us join you on such a very short notice.” Nick said as he sat down beside me and Brian sat down between me and Eddy.
“ Man it’s not a problem, I find this an honor to not only have Nick here but you as well Brian, so what are you doing here?” Eddy asked just as the last commercial began to play.
“ Well I’m here to do a little filming for a small movie that Leighanne wrote.” Brian said as the director motion for us that we were about to go back on the air.
“ Oh cool so how can our fans get a copy of this movie when it is done?” Eddy asked as had this funny look come across my face like I need to throw up.
“ We are in the process of putting a website together for the Health Hearts Club and you can either see on the site or buy the DVD.” Brian said as he was all smiles when he began talking about the Club that he and Leighanne put together to help children who are need of heart operations.
“ That is cool, you will have to call us and let us know when the site is up and running, so Nick what are you doing now?” Eddy asked as he turned his attention over to Nick.
“ Well at the moment I’m doing a lot of writing and hopefully come up with some new songs for a new album.” Nick said as he took as sip of the tea that he had been making while Brian was talking about the movie and the site.
“ Wow, so do you know what kind of sound this next album is going to be?” I asked as I took a sip of my tea.
“ I was thinking more to the rock side, but I have put a poll out and asked the fans what sound that they would like to hear from this album.” Nick said as he gave me small smile.
“ I do remember seeing that posted on your site about what kind of sound that you wanted the next album. So what was the out come of the poll?” Eddy asked as he took a sip of his coffee.
“ A lot had agreed with me as to do rock, there were a couple for country, and a few who told me never to rap.” Nick said with a small laugh.
“ Well I would have to agree with rock because there was a B-side song that I loved called Rock Star Baby.” I said giving him a wink and smile.
“ I loved that song too.” Eddy said as he looked over to the director and nodded as the director told us to go into a commercial break.
“ We will be right back with Nick Carter and Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys.” I said just before I hit the button for the commercials.
Twenty minutes and ten questions later both Nick and Brian got up and said goodbye to us before leaving the studio and heading back to my house.
“ Hey Jenn can I ask you something without getting you upset at me.” Olivia asked as we walked down the hallway towards my office.
“ I promise that I won’t get upset with you, so you can ask your question.” I said as we got to the door and I unlocked before opening it up.
“ Well I somewhat notice that you look like you have gained some weight since the accident.” Olivia said as we came into the room and I sat down behind my desk and she sat down on the small couch.
“ Well I might as well tell you, hey Eddy what is it?” I asked as Eddy stuck his head in the office door.
“ Not much here is the play list for tomorrow, so what is it that you were going to tell Olivia, I hope that it isn’t girl stuff.” Eddy said with a face and then a small laugh.
“ Well since you are here too I might as well tell you both, the reason why I have gained the weight, it’s because I’m pregnant.” I said as I saw both their eyes just light up with happiness for me.
“ Oh man Jenn that is so great, so tell me who is the lucky father?” Eddy said as he clapped his hands together and acted like a little school boy.
“ Thanks, but as for who he is that will be between him and me.” I said giving them a stern look as to not push the subject again.
“ Ok we understand that you want to keep this thing private and that’s how it should be. Oh damn I better get going Jeff is picking me up and we are having dinner at that new restaurant on Cannel Street.” Olivia said looking at the clock and realizing that she had to get going because of a dinner date she has with her husband.
“ Yeah I need to get going also I have to get stuff from the grocery store and feed Mr. Muffins.” Eddy said as he turned and headed out the door.
I got up and picked up the small bag that I had sitting by the desk. Going to the door I made sure that I had my keys before pushing the lock button on the door and shutting it behind as I left the room.
Walking out the building I saw a white SUV parked by the curb, walking over to it the window opened and I saw a very handsome guy sitting in the driver’s seat.
“ Hey there you need a lift?” Nick said as he pushed the glasses down a little bit from his nose so that way he look over the rims.
“ Sure if you are going my way.” I said as I opened the door and got into the SUV.
Nick pulled away from the curb and began heading towards Clearwater to a restaurant where we had a very quiet dinner for two.

Chapter 11

“ Good afternoon Tampa Bay, and I have the honor this afternoon to have four wonderful guys, so please give it up for Howie Dorough, AJ Mclean, Brian Littrell and our home town boy Nick Carter.” I said as I introduced the guys.
“ Good afternoon Tampa, and a very good afternoon to you Jen and it’s our honor to be here with such a beautiful lady.” AJ said as he gave me a smile and wink.
“ Why thank you AJ that is very sweet of you to say that. The last time you guys were in town lets see I had only Brian and Nick here with me a few weeks ago, and they were telling us about a couple of projects that they had been working on, we have to go to a couple of commercials but when we come back I will open the phone lines so that way the guys can answer a couple questions from you the listeners, and I have a few tickets to give away too.” I said as the director motion for me to go to the commercials.
While the commercials started I asked Eddy to talk to the guys while I had to get up and go to the little girl’s room.
“ Ok we are back and in the studio with us we have the Backstreet Boys, they will be doing a show tomorrow night at the St. Petersburg Times Arena. And now we have a couple of people on the line who have some questions for the guys here, so go ahead with the first caller.” I said as I took a sip of me tea.
“ Good afternoon Jen and Eddy I love your guys show, I’m Martha and I’m in Palm Harbor, my question is for Nick.” Martha said as we patched her thru to studio.
“ Ok um… afternoon Martha, lay your question on me.” Nick said as he tried to stuff a fry into his mouth.
“ Ok, this question is mostly from my sister she wants to know do you have a girlfriend and if so why haven’t we seen pictures of you guys together.” Martha asked and hoping that he would answer the question and not side step it like he did the other day when interviewed in New Orleans.
“ Oh… well …” he started to say before looking over to me and all I could do was nod to let him know that it was his call to let people know about us.
“ Well the truth is yes I’m seeing someone, and the reason why we haven’t been photographed together is because we are not in Los Angeles, were it seems everyone is up in your business. “ He said with and relief look come upon his face to let out some of our little secret.
“ Oh, I can understand that and yeah it seems that is what everyone does out there trying to get into everyone’s personal life mostly when it isn’t their business.” Martha said as she began to agree with what Nick and said.
“ Thank you Martha and lets go our next caller please.” I said as the person who answers the phone motion for the next caller.
“ Hey everyone, my name is Eric and I’m from Ruskin.” The next caller said as we put him on the air.
“ Hey Eric and go head with your question.” Eddy said as we all sat around the table and AJ began writing something down on a piece of paper and passed it around to the guys.
“ Ok this question goes to Nick again, do you still have a house here in Florida because I saw you and Jen together at a mall that is located in the Northern part of Tampa.” Eric asked as Nick and I looked at each other and wondered of we should tell everyone our secret.
“ Um… well I do have house here in Florida, and Jen here is a good friend of mine and she wanted my help with a project that she was working on and she needed help to bring something home that she ordered from the one of the stores that was at the mall.” Nick said as he picked up the note that AJ had written.
“ Oh ok because when I saw you guys you both seemed a little cozy with each other that’s all.” Eric said as he seemed to be one of those people who Nick was talking about earlier, about being in everybody’s business.
“ Ok we will get a couple more callers when we come back from these messages.” I said so that way we didn’t have to answer that question.
And hour later we were saying goodbye to the guys since we were on a commercial break I followed them out of the studio.
“ You and I need to talk Jen, I think it’s time that everyone knows about us.” Nick said as we headed down the hallway to the front of the building.
“ I know but I think we just need to give it some more time, I’m really not ready to let everyone know about us.” I said as I stopped in front of the lady’s restroom.
“ Ok, when you are ready just let me know, well see you later then.” He said before heading out of the door and to the car that was outside waiting for him.
I went into the restroom and did my business before heading back into the studio and finished up my show before going home and taking a long nap.

Chapter 12


“ Nick can I have your autograph please?” a little red head girl asked as she and what looked like her older sister came up to us.
“ Sure and how are you doing today?” he asked as he took the picture that the girl was holding out to him.
“ It’s going good so far, um… hey who is she… is she your girlfriend?” the little girl asked as she looked up and saw me standing off to the side.
“ That’s great. Um… well.” Nick started to say not really sure how to answer the girl’s question so he turned to me.
I just looked from Nick and the both girls who where looking at me to see what my answer was. And when I saw that questioning look in his eyes all I could do was nod to him, and giving him the ok to tell her the somewhat truth about us.
“ Well this is the person that I have been seeing for the past couple of months.” Was all he said to the girl.
“ Oh ok, well good luck on your relationship then.” The little girl said as she smiled up at me and her older sister gave me the thumbs up sign.
“ Thank you so much and hope that you both have a great day.” Nick said as he handed her the picture back to her, and then continue walking around the store that we were in.
“ You do know now they will tell everyone that they have met you.” Nick said as we came up to a place that had ice cream.
“ I know, but I believe it’s time that we should been seen together if you know what I mean.” I said as we got in line to get some ice cream.
“ You know you are right.” Nick said as he moved up in line.
We made it up to the counter and the girl who was waiting on us almost had a heart attack when she realized who was standing in front of her.
“ Um… Oh My God… Nick… what can I get for you?” the girl said as she finally was able to talk.
“ Hey let’s see I would like cookie dough single scoop in a sugar cone and what would you like Jen?” Nick turned asked me what I wanted.
“ I would also like cookie dough and also single scoop on a sugar cone please.” I said as I came up to the counter and stood right next to Nick, who put his arm around me.
“ Ok I have two single scoop of cookie dough on a sugar cone.” The girl said as she repeated our order back to us.
“ That’s right.” Nick said as he reached over and grabbed some napkins before handing them to me.
The girl came back and handed me the cones so that way Nick could pay for our ice cream. Then we headed over to the table near the fountain and sat down.
“ Um… Nick we needed to hurry I just realized that we have to start heading back to the hotel, so that way we can go over to the radio station for the afternoon interview.” I said as I looked down at the time that was on my phone.
“ Oh crap I almost forgot about the interview, I just hope that they don’t repeat the same questions that were asked this morning.” Nick said as he began licking his ice cream.
“ Yeah I know what you mean, I would ask some questions and then I would hear the same questions ask in another radio show.” I said as I started eating my ice cream too.
Twenty minutes later we where heading back to the car and making our way back to the hotel, so that way we could rest some before heading over to the radio station for the afternoon.
Not only was there with the guys but so was Leigh, Leighanne and AJ’s girlfriend was also there too.
It was here on the Cindy and Ray show that Nick came clean about us, and told everyone that we were dating and even said my name, but that was all, even though they did ask questions about what I did and how we met, but Nick said no comment to any more questions about us.
Then we headed to the venue for our show then afterwards we headed to the next town on tour.

Chapter 13

“ I hope that you have a great weekend Jenn.” Olivia said as she saw me gathering up my stuff and the small suite case that was sitting behind the desk.
“ Thanks and I’ll see you and Eddy in two weeks, and I hope that you have a great weekend too.” I said as I was heading for the door.
“ Thanks, oh that’s right I forgot that you are going on vacation for the next two weeks, well have fun where ever you are going.” Olivia said as we walked down the hallway and to the front door.
“ Tell Eddy to behave himself while I’m gone, and who knows I may come back all nice and tan.” I said as we headed out the door and to our cars.
“ That’s so cool, and I will have to beat him up some if he gets out of hand. Where are you going if you don’t mind me asking.” Olivia asked as we got to our cars, which was right next to each other.
“ I’m going down to the Keys, for a few days but after there I have no clue, it all depends on Nick.” I said giving her a mischievous smile.
“ Oh I see, man I can’t believe that you are dating him, but I’m very glad that you have found someone who really loves you, and I can tell how much he loves you because it shows in his eyes not only when he talks about you but when he looks at you.” Olivia said as she gave me a sisterly smile and then she got into her car.
I got into the car and buckled up and started the car up and then turn on my blue tooth so that way I could use my phone while I began heading out of the parking lot.
“ Hello?” Nick said as he reached over the edge of the tub and answered his phone.
“ Hey sweetie I was just letting you know that I’m leaving the meeting and I will there in about a couple of hours.” I said as I got on Highway 1 that headed down to the Keys.
“ Hey, I bet you are so glad that the meeting is over, I’m so glad that your boss let you and Olivia go to Miami instead of someone else.” Nick said as hit the faucet with his foot to shut off the water that was flowing into the tub.
“ Yeah I was happy that he let me come, I guess when I asked him for my vacation and told him when I wanted to go and where I was thinking about going that made up his mind as to let me come here.” I said coming to a red light and coming to a stop.
“ Well that will give me a little time to think about what we are going to have for dinner, but that depends on what you want?” he said as he opened the bottle of beer that was sitting on the edge of the tub.
“ Oh ok, what I’m craving is a home made hamburger and French fries. But if you have something else in mind then that’s fine too, it’s what ever you want too.” I said as I began to move as the light turned green, and I saw the golden arches of McDonalds and I had to stop there and get a large vanilla shake.
“ Ok I’ll think of something, hey I have another call and I’ll see you in a couple of hours then, I love you Jenny.” Nick said as his phone beeped again to let him know there was another call coming through.
“ Ok I’ll see you in a couple of hours then, and I love you too Nick.” I said hanging up my phone and pulling into the parking lot of the restaurant, seeing there was two long lines for the drive thru I went around the building and found a parking space and pulled into it.
Getting out of the car I heading for the building I looked to my left to make sure that the person at the drive thru wasn’t moving. Walking into the restaurant and got into the small line that was in front of the counter.
“ Hello and welcome to McDonalds and how can I help you?” the guy said as I stepped up to the counter.
“ Um… yes I would like to have a large Vanilla shake please.” I said as gave the guy my order.
“ Ok that was one large shake, would you like anything else with that?” the guy asked as he looked at me and gave me a smile.
“ That will be all thanks.” I said giving him a small smile.
He came back to me with my shake and I gave him the money and then I headed over to the small area that had the straws, caps and napkins. I grabbed a hand full of the napkins began walking out of the building and back to my car.
Getting back into the car I buckled up and started the car again and began to head down to the Keys.
Two hours later I was pulling up into the drive way and parking next to Nick’s car. I got out of the car and walked up the small walkway and to the front door, but before I could open the door it swung open and there stood Nick with a single rose in his hand.
“ Hey Jenny it’s so great to see you baby.” He said as he stepped back some and let me enter the house.
“ Hey Nick and it’s so great to see you too, I missed you so very much.” I said as he shut the door and I turned around and he pulled me into his arms.
“ I missed you so much too, and I’m so glad that we can take a couple of weeks off of what we have been doing and spend some quiet time together.” He said as he just stood there looking down at me and just holding me close to his body.
“ I know what you mean, so how are things going with the album, and where are you guys going to be at the next time you are in the studio?” I asked as I put my arms around his neck as I felt him slide his hands down my back and to my butt, and he began moving me closer to him so that way I could feel him getting hard.
“ I’m not sure at the moment when we are going back into the studio. Man I need you baby girl.” He said as he lowed his head and our lips came together.
“ I want you to Nick, please make love to me.” I said as he lifted me up and carried me to the bedroom, where he made love to for the first time since that night in Las Vegas.
Two hours later I was laying there snuggled up to Nick and just listening to him breathing as he slept.
“ Hey there.” Nick said very sleepy as he looked down at me.
“ Hey there yourself.” I said as I snuggled closer to him.
“ I have been thinking a lot about our marriage.” Nick said as he pulled the covers up over us.
“ Um… ok, and what have you been thinking about?” I asked praying that what he wanted to say is what I want, and that is for us to come clean about us.
“ I think it’s time to let everyone know the whole truth about us, because you are starting to show, and we can’t keep it quiet for very long. And I want everyone to know that how much I love you.” He said as he move to his side a little bit so that way he was looking straight in my eyes, and he reached over and moved the small piece of hair that had fallen in my face.
“ You know what I too have been thinking the same thing, I want everyone to know how much that I love you too, and I want everyone to know too.” I said as I felt him move his right arm go around me and pulled me close to him and I could tell that he was getting hard again.
“ I want to be with you every night and I want to have a real marriage, I want you in my bed.” Was all he said as he slowly entered me and began making slow love to me.
Three hours later we got up and dressed and Nick drove us over to Key West where we had dinner at Rick’s and then just walked around the city and he even took me over to the marker that let everyone know that Key West is the most Southern part of the USA. I even took his picture.
We found our way to a place called the Pier, it was a place where you can get drinks and have a seat on the pier and you can see the boats come in from the ocean.
“ Um… sir excuse me but could you take a picture of me and my husband please.” I asked an elderly gentleman as he and his wife came up next to us.
“ Sure what a nice couple you two make. I’m Jerry and this is my wife Linda.” The guy said as he came over to us and took the camera from us.
“ Thank you I’m Jenny and this my husband Nick.” I said as I introduced us to the couple.
“ So how long have you two been married?” Linda asked she took a seat next to me.
“ We have been married for four months now.” Nick said as he sat down on the stool next to me and put his arms around just before Jerry took our picture and it was at the perfect timing too because the sun had just started to set so there was beautiful colors of red and orange of the sky.
“ Oh Newlyweds let me get you guys a drink then.” Jerry said as he motion for a waiter to come over.
“ Thanks but not necessary, so how long have you and your wife been married?” I asked as the waiter came up to us.
“ Well this weekend will be our 50th wedding anniversary, I would like to have two rum and cokes and what ever these two people want.” Jerry said as he nodded over to Nick and I.
“ Wow I hope that we have a 50th wedding anniversary, I’m I would like to have just sprite please.” I said as I gave the waiter my order and Nick asked for just a plain coke to drink because he knew that he had to drive us home.
“ We are renewing our vows tomorrow and we will have our eight kids, and four grand children, along with few friends to be our witness this time.” Linda said as she looked up to Jerry and you could just see love shining in her eyes as she looked at her husband.
“ Wow, we learned that we are going to have a baby.” Nick said as the waiter came back with our drinks.
We sat there with the couple for and hour after sun set, we learned that they are from Georgia and Jerry worked on the Railroad and Linda was a fourth grade teacher. And all their kids live in Georgia too, and we also learned that were friends with Leighanne’s parents the Wallace’s.
We said goodnight to the couple and headed back to the car, once in the car Nick drove us back to the house, where we got undress and made love to each other before falling into a deep and peaceful sleep.

Chapter 14

“ I want to thank you for coming to be on the afternoon show and for hanging out with us today.” My boss said as we walked down the hallway to my office.
“ You’re welcome, and thanks for letting me stay for the whole show.” Nick said as we stopped in front of the door to my office.
“ It’s my pleasure, it’s not every day that our best DJ is dating a famous person.” My boss said as I unlocked the door and we stepped into the room.
“ Um… Jeff there is something we want to get straight on the air today if the question comes up.” I said as I went over to my desk and putting my bag down on the floor behind my desk and sitting down in the chair.
“ Oh and what question would that be?” Jeff asked as he knew what question it was.
“ The question is I’m I seeing someone… I’m really getting tired of answering that question so if comes up today I will tell the listeners the truth and tell them that is the last time I will answer that question.” Nick said as he handed me my huge cup of juice that I had been drinking.
“ Good for you, and I would do the same thing. But I would be a little more aggressive and tell them yes I’m seeing some one and that is all I’m saying and if you guys ask any more times about that subject I will say mind your damn business.” Jeff said with a laugh before he turned and headed out of the office.
“ You know what in away he is right, you should tell them something like that. And if they get pissed off then oh well then they should mind their business and keep their nose out of our personal life.” I said getting up and going to the door and looked into the in coming mail and paper that was in the box that was hanging on wall next to the door.
I pulled out of a couple mail, and then the song list that I would playing today, and even some emails questions that I can say over the air.
“ True and I will tell them just that. So what songs will be hearing today?” he asked just as Eddy came into the room with a box of doughnuts.
“ Morning Jen oh hey Nick what are you doing here dude?” Eddy asked as he sat the box down on his desk and was shocked seeing Nick sitting on the couch across from our desks.
“ Hey dude, I’m here to be on your show, oh goody breakfast?” Nick asked as looked at the box that was on the desk.
“ Oh cool, and yeah it’s breakfast. Man I tell you what I’m still trying to adjust to our new time.” Eddy said as he sat down at his desk and began looking through his mail.
“ I think it’s good that they moved you and Jenny from the afternoons to mornings.” Nick said as he took a sip of his coffee.
“ Yeah like this time too, but I’m use to get to sleep in just a little bit that’s all. So if you want some doughnuts just help yourself to some.” Eddy said as Olivia stuck her head into the door.
“ Good morning guys, hey Nick it’s great to see you. Oh by the way we have an intern with us today.” Olivia said as she came further into and going over to the box of doughnuts and taking two doughnuts.
“ Just great something that I didn’t want, Nick can you get me a chocolate doughnut please.” I said as I took a sip of my juice.
“ I know what you mean, and I’m sorry that she has to be with us, here is the information on her.” Olivia said as she handed me the folder that had the bio of our new intern that will be joining us on our show today.
“ Thanks, are you going to the baseball game this weekend?” I asked as I looked over the bio of the intern.
“ Yeah and I’m still trying to get one more celebrity to play, but I can’t fine anyone.” Olivia said as she took a bite of her first doughnut.
“ I’m sorry to hear that I wish that I could be there but I have to go and see my family, they are having a surprise party for my grandparents.” I said taking the doughnut from Nick and putting the folder on the stake of folders that I had on the edge of my desk.
“ Oh I see, hey Nick are you busy this weekend?” Olivia asked as she looked at Nick and gave him a smile.
“ Sorry Olivia but I have plans this weekend too.” He said as he sat back down on the couch with his doughnut.
“ Oh I see well I hope that you have a great weekend then.” She said sounding a little sad as she headed out of the office.
“ You know I think I can get someone for her.” Nick said as Eddy stood up and nodded to us before heading out of the room.
“ Ok and who do you have in mind?” I asked as I stood up and got ready to head out of the office too.
“ I’m not saying I want to surprise Olivia.” Was all he said as we both walked out of the room.
“ Ok, and I think I know the perfect person for the job too.” I said with a smile knowing who he was going to call and see if they could do the game this weekend.
We headed down the hallway to the studio where we do our show, I opened the door and saw a strange person sitting in one of the stools.
“ Um… hello you must me Donna?” I said as I walked in and headed over to my spot that I always sit at.
“ Oh hello and yes I’m Donna and you must be Jennifer it’s so very nice to finally get to meet you.” She said as held out her hand to me and we shook hands as she introduced herself to me.
“ Thanks and it’s nice to meet you too. Um… there will be a guest joining us today and he will be staying with us through the whole show.” I said as Eddy, Olivia and Nick came into the room and they took their places before we started our show.
“ OMG!!!! Nick Carter.” Was all Donna said as she saw Nick come into the room and taking his seat next to mine and Eddy’s.
“ Um…. Hello you must be the new intern.” Nick said as he somewhat cringe when he heard the high pitch squeal of the girl’s voice.
“ Ok let’s be professional here Donna, and if you are going to be like this through whole show then I have to ask you to leave and be put on another show.” Steve said as he came into the room and as the director went into the booth that they use to direct and produce the show from.
All Donna did was nod and then we started the show and it was close towards the end of the show when that question that we have been dreading came up.
“ Ok … I know what I’m about to say may get a few of you listeners upset and I’m sorry for that, but I want to say this for the very last time… and if I’m asked this question ever again all I’m going to say it’s no one’s business. Ok to answer the girlfriend question, yes I have a person that I’m involve with and that I’m very much in love with her, and no I will not tell you guys who she is because like I said before it’s no body’s business. Now please leave my private life out of the spotlight.” Nick said as he saw the look come across Donna’s face when she realize that he was taken.
“ I want to say congrads for you Nick and you are right it’s private life and people need to mind their own business.” Eddy said as he gave Nick a thumbs up.
Just then I heard tapping on the glass and saw Steve motion for me to pick up the phone because we had a caller on the phone and there was something that they wanted to say.
“ Hello caller and what can we do for you this morning?” I said wondering who it could be.
“ Hey Jenny and Tampa.” Howie said as his voice came over the air waves.
“ Hey Howie how are you doing and this is such a surprise.” I said with a laugh as I saw a look come across Nick’s face.
“ I’m doing great, and I want to say I’m so happy that Nick got the nerve to tell everybody to back off about his private life, and there is something else I wanted to say.” Howie said as he gave a small chuckle just thinking about what Nick and said and even asked him.
“ Well thanks bro, and how is your family doing this beautiful day.” Nick said as he reached over and grabbed his cup of coffee.
“ Mom is doing great and she said that you need to come up here and see her, and as for calling I wanted to let Olivia know that she could count me in for the baseball game this weekend.” Howie said as his mom came into the room and put the pancakes down in front of him.
“ Oh my Howie thank you so much, how did you know that I was looking for another person for the game?” Olivia asked as she looked at me and I just shook my head no to her and then tears came to eyes when she realized who it was that called Howie.
“ You can say it was Nick who called and told me what was going on, and I think it’s a great idea.” Howie said as his brother and sister came into the room.
“ I should have known thank you Nick you are a sweet heart, and thank you Howie you too are a sweet heart and I will call you later for the details of the events that will be going on this weekend.” Olivia said looked over to Nick and gave him a huge smile.
“ Ok I’ll call back after the show well I better get going so I’ll see you guys this weekend.” Howie said before hanging up with us.
Two hours later Nick and I was walking into the house. I barely in the door way when Nick picked me up and carried me off towards our bed room.
We got undressed and climbed into bed and holding each other in our arms as we fell asleep for a couple of hours.

Chapter 15

“ I will be at the hotel in about twenty minutes.” I said as the driver drove me through the strip of Las Vegas.
“ Ok I’ll call room service in about five minutes, so what would you like to have for dinner tonight?” Nick asked as he picked up the menu and began looking through it.
“ Um… in the mood for seafood tonight, do they have seafood on the menu.” I asked because I had a feeling that he was looking at the menu.
“ Um… how did you know that I was looking at the menu. And guess what you are in luck they have a huge selection of seafood on menu.” Nick said as he turned the page and saw two pages of items under seafood.
“ Ok do they have lobster?” I asked as the driver stopped at the red light.
“ Um… let’s see you are in luck there is lobster on the menu, so what would you like with it. There is bake or mashed potatoes, rice and veggies.” He said as he looked at the different side items that he can get with the lobster.
“ I would like to have mashed potatoes with corn if they have that as a veggie and to drink I would like to have some juice please.” I said as we stopped at another red light.
“ Ok you know what that sounds great to eat, would you also like to have a dessert.” Nick asked as he turned the page and saw the dessert page and was scanning to see what was on it.
“ Um… I will see about it later. So did you see any fans there.” I asked as we stopped again and also saw few strange people walking down the side walk.
“ Ok, yeah I saw a couple of them, and yes they did ask if my girlfriend was here with me mostly when they saw me walk into the hotel by myself, ok Ron was with me but still.” Nick said as he went over to the room phone and looked at it and saw the room service button.
“ Oh ok well I will be there soon so I’ll let you go so you can order our dinner.” I said as we stopped again, but this time it had to do with the traffic on the strip.
“ Ok see you soon then and I love you.” Nick said before hanging up his phone.
“ I love you too.” I said as I hung up my phone.
I looked out the window of the car and began to wonder when we were going to tell everyone that we were married, I’m hoping soon because I’m going to be showing soon.
Before I knew it the driver was pulling up in front of the hotel. He got out of the car and came over to my side of the car and opened the car door, and helping out of the car.
“ Thank you.” I said to the driver before he turned to the trunk and began getting my bag out of it.
I looked around the hotel and yes I saw a couple of fans that Nick had told me about. I gave the driver his tip and then heading into the hotel. Since I knew what room that I was going to be staying in I really didn’t have to stop at the front desk so I headed over to the elevator. I got there and pushed the button and then waited for the elevator came down from the floor that it was on.
I looked around and hoped that none of the fans see me and come over here and start bugging me about Nick and I.
The bell of the elevator dinged and the elevator stopped at lobby and the doors opened up.
I stepped aside so that way the people could come off the elevator, and the only people on the lift was and elder couple. Once they came off I got on and hit the floor button just as a group of girls saw me and began coming my way.
The elevator stopped on my floor and I got off and headed down the hallway to my and Nick’s room.
I gave mine and Nick’s secret knock so that way he knew it was me that was knocking on the door.
“ Hey baby it’s so great to see you.” Nick said as he let me before pulling me into his arms and giving me a very warm and loving hug.
“ Hey sweetie it’s really great to see you too.” I said as we heard a tap on the door and we turned to see it was room service.
“ Hey you can bring the cart in and put everything on the table please.” Nick said as he let me go and showed the bell hop where to put the plates and he went over to the dresser and picked up his wallet to get out some money to give the guy for a tip.
After the guy left Nick and I sat down and began eating our lunch.
“ Well I better get down stairs and check in with the person who is in charge of this thing. I really hate going to these things, you have about 100 to 200 radio people here and it is also here that we interview celebrities too.” I said as I put the last bite of lobster into my mouth.
“ I know what you mean about the interviews, we had to do one a few years go. We went from table to table and basically answered the same questions over and over, there where a few times we got different questions which I was happy for.” Nick said as he finished up his wine and started picking up the plates.
“ I know what you mean. So what are you going to be doing?” I asked putting my plate under his plates and making a stack so that way I could take the plates and putting them out the door.
“ I have a poker game that I will be going to in about an hour so who knows how long I will be at it.” Nick said as he got up and made his way into the bathroom.
“ Ok after I check in and see where my table is set up at I’m going to come back here and get my swim suit on and head down to the pool for a couple of hours.” I said getting up and picked up the stack of plates and headed for the door and opened the door.
“ Ok that sounds great and if I finish up with my game early then I will join you there.” Nick said going over dresser again and getting his stuff that was laying on there.
“ Ok see you then, oh do you have a key for me?” I asked as he stopped next to me in the door way.
“ Um… yeah it’s in my small toiletry bag in the bathroom, I put in there so I wouldn’t forget it.” Nick said before he leaned down and gave me a kiss goodbye.
“ Ok thanks and see you later then love you.” I said as I returned his kiss.
“ Love you too Jenn.” He said as he kissed me one more time.
I went back into the room and headed into the bathroom and freshen up before heading down to the radio convention.
On my way to one of the huge ballrooms I passed the room that was set up for the celebrity poker game and saw Nick sitting at one of the tables and he was in deep thought too.
I walked into the room that the convention was in and found my table and one of the interns that was going to be with me and Eddy was sitting the table waiting for me.
Two hours later I made good to my word after the hanging around the convention I made my way up to my room and then to the pool. And Nick joined me there and hour later.
He told me that he won his round and will be advancing to the next round tomorrow.
After dinner we cuddled up together and watched a movie before we called it a night.

Chapter 16

“ Man it’s been a while since I been back in the old hood.” Nick said as I drove us down to Ruskin.
“ Yeah I bet it has been a while, but don’t you go through it when you head down to Sarasota?” I asked as we entered North Ruskin.
“ I normally go around Ruskin or I go down on the boat.” Nick said as I came to a red light.
“ I see I sometimes do the same thing, I guess there are a few memories that I wanted to forget.” I said as we headed towards the very small town.
Ten minutes later I was entering the town of Ruskin. I took all the right and left turns to get to the streets that my parents live on.
“ Man there is Brent’s mom and dad’s house and yes before you say anything they still live there.” Nick said as we went pass the house that was my parent’s neighbor.
“ Yeah that’s what mom tells me, and I have seen Brent here a few times too. Well here we are.” I said pulling into the drive way and parking next to my grandparent’s car.
“ Well we better get in there and say hi to everyone.” Nick said as he unbuckled his seat belt and opened the door.
We got out of the car and I opened the back door and pulled out the box that had the two desserts in it. I closed the car door and both Nick and I headed for the house.
“ Jenny come on in.” my grandma said as she opened the front door.
“ Hey gram, this is Nick and Nick this is my grandma Mary.” I said as we stopped in front of her.
“ Hello Ma’am it’s nice to meet you.” Nick said as he shook my grandma’s hand.
“ Please call me Mary.” My grandma said as she stepped aside to let us into the house.
“ Ok thanks Mary.” Nick said giving her his famous Carter smile.
We went into the house and we heard laughing coming from the kitchen. Grandma led us to the kitchen and sure enough everyone was in the kitchen.
“ Hey everybody I’m here with my friend.” I said coming into the kitchen and everyone turned and looked at us.
My cousin saw Nick standing behind me and I saw her mouth drop very wide as she just stood there looking at us.
“ Oh My God that’s Nick Carter.” My cousin said as she just stood there looking straight at him.
“ Um… hey and yes I’m Nick Carter and you are?” he asked as came over to the small group that was gathered around the kitchen island.
“ Hey Nick it’s so great to see you again, it’s been a long time son.” My dad said as he came over to Nick and shook hands with him.
“ Hey sir it’s great to see you too.” Nick said as he returned my father’s hand shake.
“ Nick how are your parents.” My mom said as she came over to him and gave him a warm and motherly hug.
“ Fine I guess, they divorced a couple of years ago.” Nick said as he returned my mom’s hug.
“ Oh I’m sorry to hear about that what about your brother and sisters?” she asked as she let him go and stepped away from him.
“ They are doing good, BJ lives here in Tampa don’t far from my mom, Leslie lives in Canada with her husband, Aaron lives in Miami and Angel lives in Los Angeles, as for me well I’m between here, Los Angeles and Nashville.” Nick said as he took the box from me and put it on the island.
“ Oh that’s good that someone is close to your mom. Man Leslie is married, we always thought it would be either you or BJ that would get married first.” Mom said as she headed back to the potatoes that she was peeling.
We all headed into the living room and began watching a movie while mom, grandma and cousin was in the kitchen fixing dinner, I asked to help but mom just told me to go into the living room and hang out with Nick. It was two hours later Nick and I left and headed over to his mom’s house where I met his step dad and sister BJ. We had a very great time with them, and then after that we headed home and had a very quiet night together.
While we laid there in bed together Nick had his hand on my stomach.
“ Oh My God was that the baby?” Nick asked as he felt the baby kick.
“ Oh my I believe it is.” I said as we both felt our baby kick for the first time.
We just laid there and felt our baby move around as we fell asleep in each other’s arms.

Chapter 17

“ I will meet you at Applebee’s after I leave the doctors office.” I said walking out of my office and heading out the door.
“ Ok damn I forgot the you had a doctor’s appointment today, see you when you can get here then.” Melinda said as she parked her car in the parking lot of the restaurant.
“ Ok I’ll see you when I get there you are at the one in Brandon on Providence Road right.” I said getting into the car and buckling up.
“ Yes that is the one you told me was better one and I do have to agree with you on that too.” Melinda said as she unbuckled and gathered up her stuff before getting out of the car.
“ Ok, really you like it better too, well I better get off the phone so that way I get going, my blue tooth is at home charging up. I’ll call you when I have left the doctor’s office and I will let you know when I’m at the restaurant too, so that way you can tell me where you are sitting at.” I said starting up the car.
“ Ok see you then.” Melinda said as walked into the restaurant.
We hung up and I headed off to the doctor’s off and today they are going to do an ultrasound on me, and I talked to Nick the other day and I told him that I wanted to know what I we where going to have, that is if the baby is in position for us to see the sex of the baby.
At first Nick didn’t want to know, but we came up with an agreement that only us and the doctor would know the sex of the baby, and the family and everyone else would know what we are having is when I give birth to the baby.
Twenty minutes later I was walking into the doctor’s office and there were four women in the waiting room when I came into the office.
“ Good afternoon can I help you.” The nurse asked as I came up to the desk.
“ Um… yes ma’am, I’m here to see Dr. Campbell.” I said as I signed the sign in sheet.
“ Ok your name please.” The nurse asked as she looked for Dr. Campbell’s schedule on the computer.
“ It’s Jennifer.” I said somewhat whispering so that the other couldn’t hear my name.
“ Oh ok, please go through the door and go to the first room on the left, and the nurse will be with shortly.” The nurse said as she saw that my name was in red which means celebrity.
I went through the door and went into the room that she wanted me to wait until I had to see the doctor.
I was sitting there for five mintues when a nurse came into the room.
“ Jennifer are you ready.” The lady said as she stood in the door way.
“ Yeah lets do this.” I said getting up and followed her to the scale so she could weigh me.
I took off my shoes and stepped onto the scale and I when she started moving the weights on the scale and that’s when I saw that I have gained ten pounds.
“ Ok, please follow me and Dr. Campbell will be with you in a couple of minutes.” The nurse said as she started down the hallway to the room that I was going to be in.
We walked into the room and I sat down on the table and then the nurse began taking my vitals before she left the room.
I was sitting there for two minutes when the door opened up and the doctor came into the room.
“ Good afternoon Jennifer and it’s so great to see you today, and how are you doing so far.” Dr. Campbell said as she came over to me and shook my hand.
“ Afternoon Doctor, I’m doing pretty good, I felt the baby move last weekend.” I said as I laid back so that way the doctor could exam my baby.
“ That’s great news mmm….” Was all the doctor said as she moved both her hands over my swollen belly.
“ Is there a problem?” I asked sounding a little scared.
“ Oh no there isn’t anything wrong, I was just wondering if your sure about when you got pregnant.” She said as she stopped on my left side and felt the baby move.
“ Yes I’m sure when I got pregnant because it happen when I was in Las Vegas at my High School Reunion.” I said looking up at the doctor.
“ Ok, well I’m hope the ultrasound will prove in what I’m thinking.” She said as she putting down my shirt and I sat up.
“ Ok so what are you thinking?” I asked as I moved my feet over the edge of the exam table.
“ Well the reason why I asked about the date you got pregnant was because you seemed a little big, and now I believe why, I think you are carrying twins.” The doctor said as she smiled at me as she washed her hands.
“ Um… did you say twins, oh boy.” Was all I could say because I was in total shock.
Well they brought in the ultrasound machine and sure enough I’m going to have twins.
“ So do you want to know what you are going to have, because I can see the sexes of them.” The doctor said with a smile on her face.
“ Yes both me and the father of the babies want to know?” I said looking at her and she nodded to the tech, who turned the machine towards me so I could see what they were looking at.
“ Well congrats to you and the father, you both are going to have a boy and a girl.” The doctor said as she pointed out which baby was which.
“ Oh my a girl and boy, that is so great.” I said as tears came to my eyes.
They made two copies of the images that was on machine before I could leave the office.
Man Nick will be so surprise, because the other night we where talking about what we wanted, well I want a boy and believe it or not Nick wanted a girl.
I got into the car and headed off towards the restaurant were I would get a very huge surprise again.
“ Hey I’m on my way and I should be there in about twenty minutes.” I said as I got into the car.
“ Ok I’ll see you when you get here.” Melinda said as another person of her party showed up.
I hung up and pulled out of the parking lot and made my way to the restaurant. Twenty minutes later I was pulling into the parking lot and parked near the front of the restaurant and made my way inside the restaurant.
“ Hey!” I got when I walked up to the area where Melinda was sitting with Kimberly, Pam, Lori and Leia.
“ Oh my this is a huge surprise I’m so glad to see you all.” I said as I came up to each one of them and gave them hugs.
“ Oh my God Jenny are you?” Kimberly said as she stepped back and saw my baby bump.
“ Yeah I’m pregnant, and that’s why I’m late getting here because I had a doctor’s appointment.” I said as we all took our seats, and the waitress came over and took our drink orders.
It was an hour later we where say bye to each other and Melinda was going to throw a small party for the girls that where here.
I got home and saw Nick sitting on the couch with his guitar playing a song that he had been working on for the past couple of days.
“ Hey baby how did the doctor’s appointment go?” He said putting down the guitar and coming over to me and pulled me into his arms.
“ It went great and I found out something too.” I said pulling away from him and going over to my bag and pulling out the picture that I got from the doctors and handed it to him.
“ Ok what I’m I looking at here… oh my is that what I think it is… and you mean to tell me that we are having ….” Was all he said as looked back down at the picture and in total shock.
And the only thing I did was give him a smile and that was all I could do as tears came to both our eyes.

Chapter 18

I got home and saw Nick sitting on the couch with his guitar playing a song that he had been working on for the past couple of days.
“ Hey baby how did the doctor’s appointment go?” He said putting down the guitar and coming over to me and pulled me into his arms.
“ It went great and I found out something too.” I said pulling away from him and going over to my bag and pulling out the picture that I got from the doctors and handed it to him.
“ Ok what I’m I looking at here… oh my is that what I think it is… and you mean to tell me that we are having ….” Was all he said as looked back down at the picture and in total shock.
And the only thing I did was give him a smile and that was all I could do as tears came to both our eyes.
“ Yes Nick we are going to have twins, and they are both a boy and a girl.” I said as pulled me into his arms again and started kissing me.
“ That is so great, I get my baby girl and you will get your little guy.” Nick said as he spun us around in a circle.
“ Yeah we get what we want, um… Nick please stop spinning us, or I will get sick all over you.” I said as I felt my stomach start to turn.
“ Oh sorry there, so are we going to let our family know or are we going to stay as just us knowing?” Nick asked as I went over the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water.
“ I think we should stay, with us just knowing what we are having, and let everyone be surprise.” I said opening up the bottle of water and take a sip of water.
“ Ok that sounds great, oh before I forget I will be working very late tomorrow due to the fact that I’m going to try and record most of the album.” Nick said as he went back to the couch and sat down and picked up the TV remote and turn on the TV.
“ Ok that’s fine I’ll be here and I’m going to try and go to bed early.” I said sitting down in my gliding chair and put my feet up so the swelling would go down some.
“ Ok, I’m sorry that you really didn’t get to sleep well last night.” Nick said as he turned the channel to the basketball game.
“ It’s not your fault one of the twins wanted to play kick boxing with my insides .” I said just as one of the babies kicked.
“ I’m sorry, oh do you want me to take of your shoes for you?” he asked as he noticed that I still had my shoes on.
“ Oh yes please that would be so wonderful.” I said as I laid my head back and close my eyes for a few minutes.
I felt Nick sit down on the edge of the foot stool and then he slipped off my shoes before he started messaging my feet.
“ How does this feel?” Nick asked as he watch the look on come across my face.
“ Oh it feels so great please don’t stop.” I said with a little moan as he the spot that hurt.
“ Ok just let me know when you want me to stop.” He said as continue rubbing my feet.
“ What are you going to be doing this weekend?” I asked as I opened my eyes and watched him rub my feet.
“ I have to be in the studio with they guys why?” he said as he stopped and looked at me.
“ Well Melinda is having a small get together with our friends that we saw at the reunion, well they are in town.” I said getting up so I could go to the restroom.
“ Ok that’s a great idea, you can go and have fun with your friends, and I will try to get out early so that way we can have dinner together.” He said getting up and going into the kitchen and getting him a bottle of water.
“ Ok thanks, that sounds great, our we going out or stay home and have dinner here.” I asked before I heading off towards the bathroom.
“ I thought that maybe we could go out and have dinner at a seafood restaurant.” He said as he watch me go into the bathroom.
“ Ok that sounds like a great idea.” I said before shutting the door and using the bathroom.
Five hours later Nick handed me my hamburger and fries as we sat on the couch so we could watch the movie that we had wanted to see for a long time.
And then of course three hours after dinner I went to bed and was sound asleep before my head hit the pillow, and it was three hours later I felt Nick’s arms go around me and pull me closer to him as we both went off to sleep.

Chapter 19

I rolled over and came face to face with Nick, and he gave me a loving smile.
“ Morning Jenny.” Nick said as he pulled me closer to him.
“ Morning Nick.” I said as I snuggled up against.
“So after work you are going to head over to your friend’s house for a luncheon that she decided to have today.” Nick said as he started to rub my tummy.
“Um… yeah Melinda thought it would be a good idea because two of the girls have to leave tomorrow and go home, and another one will be leaving on Saturday.” I said as I closed my eyes as he was somewhat putting me back to sleep.
“Ok that’s cool, at lease you guys are trying to get together and catch up since you guys have been out of school.” Nick said as he stopped and rolled over so he could see what time it was.
“Yeah it is great that we are trying to play catch up, and it’s great to try and get back together with my close friends that I had in school.” I said trying to get up so that way I could go to the bathroom.
“I understand that damn I have to get going, I have two interviews that I have to do today and one of them is this morning. I’ll see you this weekend.” Nick said as he realized the time and he got out of bed and got dress really quick.
“Ok, um…. Nick I have a better idea, move in with me…. I mean you’re here at lease twice a week anyway and in away I would like to work on our marriage?” I said as sat there and watched him look around the room for his clothes and then putting them on.
“ You know what I was going talk to you about that this weekend, are you sure, because if you truly want to do that then I can start to move here this weekend, and I too want to work on our marriage.” He said as he smiled at me and came over to me and helped me off the bed so that way he could gently pulled me into his arms and hole me.
“ Yes Nick I’m sure about it, and I really want you here, I love you.” I said as I wrapped my arms around him and he leaned down and began kissing me.
“ I love you too Jenny, damn I really have to go and you should start getting ready for work too.” He said kissing me one more time, before letting me go and he finished getting dress.
“ Damn your so right, and yes you can start moving in this weekend.” I said with a small laugh before going into the bathroom.
When I got out of the shower I noticed that Nick was gone, but that was fine, I knew that he was gone because before he left he came into the bathroom and said by to me and kissed me one more time before going home.
An hour later I was walking into my office and saw both Eddie and Jason sitting there.
“ Hey guys what’s going on?” I asked as I put my bag into the desk drawer.
“ Hey there little mommy, so how are you doing this morning.” Jason said as he got up from my chair and moved it back so that way I could sit down.
“ I’m doing fine thanks, the baby is moving around this morning is all.” I said sitting down and picked up the piece of paper that was sitting on my desk.
“ Oh ok, well it’s time to head on to the studio, and I see that you got the play list.” Jason said he and Eddie headed for the door.
Four hours later I was leaving the station and heading home so that way I could get ready for my luncheon with the girls.
I pulled into Melinda’s driveway and parked right behind Melinda’s car and got out and headed into the house.
“ Jenny it’s so great that you could join us at the last moment.” Melinda said as she answered her front door.
“ Hey Mel, it’s great to see you too, yeah I had nothing to do today, so thank you for giving me something to do, and get me out of the house too.” I said as coming into the house.
“ You’re welcome, well everyone is here they are in the family room, so what can I get you drink?” Melinda asked as we walked through the house to get to the kitchen and family room.

Chapter 20

“ Good morning Tampa Bay, this morning I have received some shocking news, that has to do with a member of a boy band.” Eddie said as we came one the air.
“ Good morning Tampa, and what news is that Eddie.” I said knowing what news he did get, because both Nick and I told him about twenty-five minutes ago.
“ Well that is something that you will just have to wait and see. You all know that today is Jenny’s last day with us and I just want to say I’m going to miss you dearly.” Eddie said as he gave a warm smile that showed he meant what he said.
“ Well thank you Eddie, but you do know that I will be coming back right.” I said letting him know that I wasn’t going to be gone forever.
“ Yes I know, and it time to see how things are going on outside with traffic with Olivia.” Eddie said as we switched over to traffic.
Nick came in and took his seat between me and Eddie as he handed me my tea and burrito.
After twenty minutes of news, weather, traffic, a few commercials and songs we finally came back to the good stuff.
“ Good morning Tampa and if you missed it in the beginning of the show Eddie here said that he as some shocking news to tell us today, so what is it oh wise one.” I said as I made a bowing motion.
“ Ha-ha very funny, well there seems to have been some speculation about Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, well it seems that a few days ago not only was spotting shopping with you Jenny, but there seems to be a wedding band on his finger too.” Eddie said as he looked over to both Nick and I.
“ Oh yeah that picture, I saw it a couple days ago, um… well let’s here straight from Nick himself, welcome in the studio Nick Carter.” I said as turned and looked at him.
“ Morning Tampa, and well it seems that both Jenny and I do have something to say, and yes all speculation us are true, Jennifer and I are married and have been for awhile now, you can say that we wanted to keep everything quiet and have a normal marriage like anyone else.” Nick said as he grabbed my hand and gave it a kiss.
“ Ahh that’s so sweet, you know I had a feeling that you two were seeing each other when, I saw him pick you up from here a few times.” Olivia said with a huge smile on her face as she gave thumbs up.
“ Well and that’s not all either, you know that Jenny is going to have a baby in couple of months, but I’m here to tell everyone that we have learned a few days ago that we are going to have twins.” Nick said as he almost jumped out of his seat with joy as to let the news out.
“ Oh my twins, that’s so wonderful, now that explains why you have to leave early. I was thinking when you both told me that earlier I didn’t understand why, because Susan worked almost to the time Hailey was born.” Eddie said as he mention both his wife and daughter.
“ Yeah there are times women can do that, but you know that Wednesday I was having those pains, and I went to the emergency room later that night, because I had started contracting. And it was my doctor he told me that I had to go on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy.” I said taking a sip of my tea that Nick made for me.
“ Oh man I’m sorry to hear that, so that’s why you were not here Thursday?” Olivia said as she looked up from her computer scene as read there was and accident.
“ Yeah, and that right and I had to announce that I was leaving for a little while, well that is the reason why due to the twins.” I said before taking a bite of burrito.
We spent the last three hours having a great time just talking about other stuff, playing music, games and even Nick got to play DJ for a bit.
After my time on the radio was up we said goodbye to everyone, but little did I know that they had a surprise lunch party for me at one of my favorite sea food restaurants.
After the party Nick and I went home and spent a peaceful and relaxing day at home just sitting by the pool watching the cruise ships and tankers come in with their cargo, and passengers sail into the bay, and as it got later we just sat back and watched a beautiful sunset over Tampa Bay.
