Her hat is hanging by the door The one she bought in Mexico It blocked the wind It stopped the rain She’d never leave that one So, she can’t be really gone

“Hey Rok, you okay man?” A.J. queried his sullen looking friend. Brian remained looking straight ahead. “You miss her, don’t you?” A.J. said softly. Brian nodded sadly. “It’s like she never left at times.” “I know what you mean,” A.J. sighed. “I keep waiting for her to come pounce on me, but then she never does.” The other Boys walked in then, their faces going sad, when they heard A.J.’s last comment. The room was silent for a few minutes, Brian and A.J., not knowing their comrades had entered the room, both sat, staring at the floor. “I remember how she used to always cover my eyes and tickle me when I was trying to play Nintendo,” Nick piped up suddenly, startling everyone. “Then I’d tickle her back, and we’d end up arguing over the Nintendo, until Kevin would come in a tell us to stop messing around. It’s too bad she’ll never be able to do that anymore...” Kevin placed a hand on the young man’s shoulder. “It’s okay Nick, we know how you feel, ‘cause we all miss her as well.” “Remember the time we caught her playing Kevin’s keyboard and the look on her face when she looked up and saw us standing there?” Howie asked. “She looked as though she was going to pass out from fear and embarrassment.” “I remember that,” Kevin chuckled. “She thought she was going to be in deep trouble for playing my keyboard without permission. In reality though, we’d only gone down to see who was doing such a fantastic job of playing Back To Your Heart.” “I can still recall the day I adopted her,” Brian whispered. “She was so young and full of life, yet fearful of everything and everyone because of her past. She was happy that she was being adopted by someone nice, but totally shocked to find out it was her favourite Backstreet Boy.” “Well, hey, what seven year-old wouldn’t be?” A.J. commented. “She had always dreamed of being adopted and having a family who loved her, but never in her wildest dreams expected it to be her fave stars that gave her what she’d been looking for.” “I can still see the look on her face when we walked into the room to meet her. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone so happy in my life,” Kevin added. “I was also amazed how she instantly had a special bond with each of us, although we hadn’t known each other all that long.” Nick snorted out laughter then, causing the other guys to look over at him. “What’s so funny Frack?” Brian questioned. “When her and I crazy stringed the bus,” Nick giggled, “then still had the nerve to go crazy string the stage, and then you guys later on while we were performing Quit Playin’ Games.” The guys smiled at that, for it had been pretty funny, despite the fact that the two troublemakers had gotten in loads of crap for it. “I didn’t even know that she’d sprayed Kevin’s bunk with silly string too, until we went to bed and he sat down in it, in the dark, and was attacked, by what he thought was cobwebs,” Nick continued. “Man, did she ever get lectured then.” “Even though I was lecturing her, she still had sassy comebacks for pretty much everything I’d said, so I got mad and grounded her,” Brian remembered. “She pouted the whole time she was grounded too because she considered it unjust and unfair.” The room grew quiet again, as they all thought about certain memories they’d shared with her, and each other. They didn’t want to believe that she’d never be able to create new memories with them or anyone else.

She Laughed And Said They Called Her Name.... by LenniluvsBrian
A.N.: Here's the second chapter! Hope y'all like it! Enjoy! Disclaimer: Only own Lenore, Wendy, & story idea. BSB own themselves. The people who own the Chipmunks own Miss Grudge - though, she was not this mean in their cartoon - though, still mean. Tim McGraw owns the song. Warning: Brief child abuse. Only in this chapter. I promise!
The shoes she bought on Christmas Eve She laughed and said they called her name

Flashback… “I’d like you to meet Mr. Littrell, the man who has decided that he’d like to adopt you,” the co-worker said. “Now, remember, you must be polite to prove that you’ve been taught well, despite the fact that you’ve grown up in an orphanage and foster homes.” Mr. Littrell walked in then, with four other guys close behind him. “Brian?” The little girl gasped shocked. “I don’t know how you saw his name, but it’s impolite to refer to someone you’ve just met by their first name,” the co-worker snapped. “Now, apologize to Mr. Littrell, or else…” The girl looked frightened then, and immediately apologized. “I’m sorry for my rudeness Mr. Littrell,” she said just above a whisper. “I didn’t mean anything by it. I am very sorry.” “It’s quite alright,” Brian assured her. The co-worker glared at her then, before speaking again. “I’ll leave you alone to get aquatinted with the brat; I shall return again in a few minutes, and if you still want to adopt her, we’ll go over all the forms you have to fill out.” The co-worker left then, leaving them all in an uneasy silence. The little girl looked shyly, yet worriedly, up at them. “Why do you want me?” She asked. “There’s plenty of other kids here, younger than I am.” “We need someone, who’s old enough to travel,” Kevin informed her. “Any younger than six and it would’ve been kind of complicated.” “There’s older kids here too,” she reminded them. “We wanted someone who was young enough to still be a kid, and someone old enough to travel,” Howie stated, adding Kevin’s phrase to his own. “Besides, it was up to Brian as to just how old the kid was going to be, but we all agreed on it anyway.” “Oh,” she said. The room was quite again. “So, just how old are you Sweetie?” Brian queried. “Also, how long have you been here?” “Sweetie,” she thought. “I like the sounds of that; no one’s ever called me Sweetie before.” “I’m seven Sir,” she answered. “I’ve been in and out of here for the past four years. When I wasn’t here, I was placed in Foster homes, none of which worked out.” “Why was that?” Nick wanted to know, not totally thinking clearly before speaking. “I’m too much of a dreamer, so I was told,” she responded shyly. “Not supposed to live in Dream Land, when you have to face reality, and the fact that nobody wants you ‘cause you’re worthless.” “No one’s worthless,” A.J. told her. “Everyone’s worth something to someone.” “Maybe everyone else is, but I’m not,” she whispered. “I’m a mistake, a huge mistake. God wasn’t supposed to create me, yet he did, ‘cause he wanted to ruin people’s lives by making another mistake.” “Where’d you hear that Sweetie?” Brian interrogated softly; crouching down to her height, as he gently took her hand in his own two. “Who told you God wasn’t supposed to create you?” “Everyone I’ve ever met,” she replied, trying desperately not to cry. “Especially the people here. Said out of all the kids here, I was the worst mistake God ever made and don’t deserve a happy life or love.” “Well, we don’t think you were a mistake,” Kevin commented softly. “We think everyone deserves love and to be happy.” The co-worker returned then, just as the girl’s tears began to overflow. “What have we told you about crying in front of strangers?” She riposted angrily. “How many times do we have to tell you to respect your elders and not bother them with your petty, selfish tears?” “Sorry Miss, it slipped,” she apologized. “Hold out your hands,” the woman ordered. “But Miss,” the girl pleaded. “Please, just this once…” “I said hold out your hands,” the woman barked. The girl finally did as she was told, and held her hands out, palms down, knuckles up. She winced as her knuckles were struck with a wooden ruler. “Now, go up to your room and stay there until someone’s ready to deal with you.” “Yes, Miss Grudge,” she responded quietly, then left the room with her head hung. After she’d left, Miss Grudge turned to the five men standing there wide-eyed. “We’ve strict discipline in our orphanage,” she informed them. “Nothing goes unpunished around here. They have to learn to respect their elders and keep their petty, selfish problems to themselves.” “Now, since I know you don’t want some brat like her, may I suggest someone older and more respectful?” She went on. “Ah, yes, here we go. Natalie Spruce, fifteen and very respectful.” “I want her,” Brian cut in. “Wise choice Mr. Littrell, I knew you’d want someone like Natalie to respect and obey you,” Miss Grudge smiled, pleased that her suggestion was being used. Brian stated, “Not Natalie, the little girl who we just met and was sent out of here after being punished for something stupid.” “Now, Mr. Littrell, surely you don’t mean that brat, she’s nothing but a troublemaker and has no respect for anyone or anything,” Miss Grudge retorted. “Nobody wants God’s biggest mistake, so, surely, you don’t mean her.” “I said I want that little girl, and I’m going to do everything in my power to get her,” Brian said firmly. “Even if I have to take you to court, I will get her. I won’t settle for anyone but her.” “Fine, be a hard-headed fool,” Miss Grudge snapped. “But you, like all the others, shall return her in two weeks, for she’s nothing but trouble and wasted space.” “I don’t care,” Brian returned angrily. “I’m taking her into my custody immediately.” After filling out all the forms necessary to adopt a child, the Boys followed Miss Grudge up the stairs and to the room in which the little girl was residing in. When they walked in, they found someone hitting her bottom, hard, with a ruler. “Wendy!” Miss Grudge barked. “That’ll be enough!” “But she…” Wendy trailed off. “It doesn’t matter what she did, because one of these fools has adopted her.” “Her?” Wendy asked, as Miss Grudge nodded. “Unbelievable.” Wendy left then, as the girl turned around and looked at them completely embarrassed, with tears running down her face. She quickly wiped the tears off her face. “Sorry Miss, didn’t know anyone was coming.” “Pack your stuff and get out of my face,” Miss Grudge ordered. “I never wanna see your face around here again, if I do, you’ll be very sorry.” “Yes ma’am,” the girl answered, and quickly grabbed her ratty suitcase to pack. Once they were in the car, they turned the radio on, and drove out of the parking lot, to head back home to the house they shared. It was during this drive, that they realized they didn’t know the girl’s name. “What’s your name Sweetheart?” A.J. asked. “I’m A.J., in case you didn’t know.” “Lenore,” she whispered. “I know who you are, Mr. McLean.” “So, you’ve heard of us?” A.J. smiled. “Well, there’s something new we just learned.” “Mr. Carter, kindly stop staring at me and kicking my foot,” she stated. “I don’t appreciate you gawking at me, the way I did Mr. Littrell, and the rest of you, when you entered the room.” “Sorry,” Nick mumbled. “I was just playing.” She looked away then, her face going sad. “Nick,” she began. “I don’t intend to sound mean, but I’ve never been allowed to talk, more or less move, in a car. I just don’t wanna cause any trouble for y’all.” “Y’all?” Kevin queried, raising an eyebrow. “Where’d you pick that up Lil’ One? You don’t have a southern accent, so I know you’re not from Kentucky or any place like that.” “I…um…” She trailed off. “I…uh…heard Brian say it once when I was actually allowed to watch television and picked it up. Miss Grudge and her loony tunes never liked it though and punished me anytime I happened to accidentally say it.” “I’d say they were real loony tunes,” Nick chuckled. “No talking, no staring, no playing, no disrespect, and most importantly, no fun whatsoever.” She smiled a small smile. “Yeah, you kinda got the picture. You’re basically supposed to be a statue and not a kid.” “Well, you can be a kid all you want now, Sweetie,” Brian grinned. “That’s what we’re here for, to help you just be a kid.” End of flashback…

It’s like they’re waiting in the hall For her to slip them on So, she can’t be really gone

“I don’t think any of us will ever forget the day we brought her home,” Howie replicated. “The look on her face when she saw the house was priceless.”

“Yeah,” was the solemn reply.

Kevin couldn’t help but smile all of a sudden.

“Remember her first birthday here, and how she was so shocked that all the gifts in the room were only for her?” He verified. “She couldn’t get over the fact that she deserved all that and much more.”

“I wonder what her favourite memory was,” Nick pondered quietly.

She Must Intend To Come Back by LenniluvsBrian
A.N.: Yes, another chapter. But only because the last one was SO short! Enjoy! Disclaimer: Only own Lenore & story idea. BSB own themselves. The people who own the Chipmunks own Miss Grudge - sh'es just not this mean in the cartoons. Thank-you!
I don’t know when she’ll come back She must intend to come back I’ve seen the error of my ways
Flashback…

“What are we doing today?” The eight-year-old on the bus asked. “Other than the concert tonight?”

“We were planning on doing something fun, but aren’t sure as to what yet,” Brian answered smiling. “Why? What would you like to do Sweetie?”

“Hmm. How ‘bout we bug Kevin?” She grinned. “I know I always enjoy doing that.”

Kevin ruffled her hair. “Only you can get away with it too, Kiddo.”

Lenore smirked. “That’s ‘cause I’m privileged and loved.”

“Loved,” she thought. “I’m finally and honestly loved.”

“And you know it too,” A.J. laughed. “You’re amazingly the only one Kevin hasn’t killed yet.”

“You mean, you’ve already died and gone to Freak Heaven A.J.?” She queried. “Gee, and I thought you were just weird ‘cause you were you.”

A.J. gave her a pretend Look. “Oh, really?”

“Yeah, really.”

He the proceeded to chase her around the bus, until he’d finally caught up to her and began to tickle her as she giggled uncontrollably.

“Say uncle!” A.J. told her.

“Never!” She cried through giggles.

Eventually, A.J. let her go, then raced her back into the kitchen area of the bus, to see what the guys had planned.

They decided to go to Wonderland, as they were in Toronto, Ontario for the Canadian leg of their tour. Once there, they headed towards Hannah Barbara Land, as that’s where Lenore had wanted to go.

“Is Fred Flintstone really here?” She wanted to know, as she held Kevin and Brian’s hands in hers. “Is it true Scooby-Doo lives here too?”

“Yes, Lil’ One, it’s true,” Kevin smiled. “They do reside here, as does the Smurfs, Yogi, Huckleberry Hound, Captain Cave Man, George Jetson, Astro, Barney Rubble, etc.”

She gasped. “Barney Rubble lives here?”

“Yeah,” Nick shrugged. “Point?”

“Oh my God! I have to meet him!” She cried. “Naturally, I have to meet Fred too though.”

“Naturally,” A.J. teased.

She stuck her tongue out at him, then raced ahead to meet Yogi Bear, with Nick close behind her.

Once they’d done all they could do in the free time they actually had, and she’d met her favourite Flintstone characters, they headed for the Sky Dome for that night’s show.

Lenore walked over to Kevin once she’d finally spotted him coming out of make-up.

“Kevin?” She called softly, for she suddenly felt shy.

“Yeah, Lil’ One?”

“Can I come on stage tonight?” She queried just barely above a whisper.

“Why?” Kevin wanted to know, although he knew he’d probably let her, if she really wanted to come out and join them.

“I wanna help y’all out with Quit Playin’ Games,” she answered. “And I sort of have a plan cooked up in my head.”

“Sure, you can come out and help us,” he grinned. “Just what has the mind of yours cooked up this time?”

“You’ll see,” she smiled. “Thanks Kevin.”

“No problem, Kiddo,” he replied ruffling her hair, before joining the other guys to go on stage.

Finally it was time for Quit Playin’ Games, and Lenore confidently, yet shyly made her way out to where Kevin was waiting for her.

“Okay y’all, as you know, this is Lenore,” he said into his microphone. “She’s gonna help us out with the next song by playing the keyboard.”

The crowd cheered, and she looked shyly down at the floor.

Kevin bent down and whispered in her ear, “Knock ‘em dead Lil’ One.”

She grinned at him, then dashed over to where Tommy was standing with his keyboard.

“Thanks for helping me out Tommy,” she stated. “I appreciate it.”

“Glad I could help,” Tommy replied. “I think the Boys are going to be quite shocked when you go into your own little song at the end.”

“Glad they weren’t here for the rehearsal and that everyone else agreed to let me do it,” she rejoined, tuning the keyboard. “Well, wish me luck.”

“Luck,” Tommy chuckled as he left the stage.

The Boys sang Quit Playin’ Games, and were shocked when Lenore kept on playing the keyboard.

“What’s she doing?” Nick whispered to A.J. “She’s supposed to stop and she knows it.”

“I dunno,” A.J. whispered back. “I think Kev may have an idea, ‘cause he’s standing there smiling ‘bout something.”

[A.N.: She’s singing Christina Aguilera’s, What A Girl Wants, but the odd word has been changed. And sorry it's all bunched together - but if I did it any other way, it'd take away from the original song this fic is based on]

"I wanna thank-you, for giving me the time I need. Like a rock you waited so patiently. While I got it together. While I figured it out. I only looked but I never touched. 'Cause in my heart was a picture of us. Holdin’ hands, making plans and it’s lucky for me you understand. What a kid wants. What a kid needs. Whatever makes me happy sets you free. And I’m thanking you for knowing exactly. What a kid wants. What a kid needs. Whatever keeps me in your arms. And I’m thanking you for being there for me. Yeah, yeah. A weaker man might have walked away. But you had faith. Strong enough to move over and give me space. While I got it together. While I figured it out. They say if you love something, let it go. If it comes back it’s yours. That’s how you know. It’s for keeps yeah. It’s for sure, and you’re ready and willing. To give me more than…” she sang. “What a kid wants. What a kid needs. Whatever makes me happy sets you free. And I’m thanking you for giving it to me. What a kid wants. What a kid needs. Whatever keeps me in your arms. And I’m thanking you for being there for me. Yeah, yeah. A kid need somebody sensitive but tough. Somebody there when the goin’ gets rough. Every day he’s giving his love. To just me. Somebody cool but real sweet too. Somebody, Daddy, just like you. Can keep me hangin’ around. With the one who always knows. What a kid wants. What a kid needs. Whatever makes me happy sets you free and I’m thanking you for giving it to me. What a kid wants. What a kid needs. Whatever keeps me in your arms. And I’m thanking you for being there for me. ”

She finished the song, and glanced shyly over at the Boys.

“Wait a minute,” Brian accidentally said aloud, and into his microphone. “Did she just call me Daddy?”

Lenore smiled at him, then spoke into the microphone in front of her. “Yes, Daddy, I did. I…I love you.”

Brian couldn’t have looked any happier than he did right then. Hearing those eight little words come from her meant the world and so much more to him.

She looked at his smiling face and beamed happily as she ran over to where he was standing and hugged him tight.

He hugged her back with all his might, picked her up, twirled her around, hugged her again, kissed her cheek, then finally placed her back on the ground. Once she was on solid ground again, he draped his arm over her and held her close to him.

“I love you too Sweetie,” he said softly, forgetting again that his microphone was still on. “I always will no matter what.”

End of flashback…

Don't Waste The Tears On Me by LenniluvsBrian
A.N.: In an updating & giving mood. Enjoy! Disclaimer: Only own Lenore & story idea. BSB own themselves. Miss Grudge belongs to the creators of Alvin & the Chipmunks - only they never made her as mean - not really, anyway. Thank-you! Note: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! STAY SAFE!!!!!!
Don’t waste the tears on me What more proof do you need? Just look around the room So much of her remains

“I still can’t believe the last thing I said to her before she left, was that she was an annoying, pain-in-the-butt, bratty orphan,” Nick spoke just above a whisper. “If I hadn’t have ticked her off, maybe she’d still be here…”

The other guys looked at their young friend, and suddenly realized he blamed himself for what had happened to her a few months earlier.

“Nick, what happened is not your fault,” Brian stated. “You do know that, don’t you?”

Nick ignored him as he continued. “All she’d wanted was for someone to talk to and play with, and I told her to buzz off and go screw a tree.”

“Nick…” Kevin tried, only to be cut off.

“I knew I should’ve stopped her from going out the door, but I was mad that she wouldn’t let me play my Nintendo in peace.”

“Nicky…” Howie began. “Listen to us, please.”

“She’s gone and all because I wanted to play my damn Nintendo,” Nick blubbered. “I’m to blame, not the guy in the car.”

Brian stood up then and hugged his best friend.

“Frack,” he said. “No one could’ve known that that would be the last time she ever went out that door. If we had have known that, we all would’ve stopped her from leaving. And that driver was to blame, as he was as plastered as a drunken sailor. We know for a fact she always watched where she was going, no matter what mood she was in or what she was doing.”

Nick continued to cry into Brian’s shoulder as he thought about their last argument.

Now Who Could Ever Walk Away by LenniluvsBrian

Her book is lying on the bed The two of hearts to mark her page Now, who could ever walk away at chapter 21? So, she can’t be really gone
Flashback…

“Hey Nickster, can I talk to you?” She asked. “I need to talk to someone.”

“Lenore, go find someone else to bug, I’m busy right now,” Nick riposted. “Can’t you see I’m trying to pass this level?”

“But Nick…”

“Look, go bug Kevin or screw a tree, just don’t bug me!” He retorted. “Now, shoo!”

“Can I play then?” She queried hopefully, her green eyes looking pleadingly at him. “Please?”

“No!” Nick shouted exasperated. “It’s a one player game and no I’m not sharing my controller!”

“Fine, be mean!” She cried. “Excuse me for wanting to spend time with you!”

“Augh!” Nick growled, as he lost the level he was playing. “Now see what you’ve made me do, you annoying, pain-in-the-butt, bratty orphan!”

“I’m not an orphan!” She protested, stamping her foot. “Daddy says I’m not, therefore I’m not one!”

“Well, whatever the Hell you are then, I’d advise you to get the Hell out of here before I kill you for making me lose my game!” Nick yelled. “Now scat!”

“Nick, I…” She tried.

“Lenore, if I have to tell you once more…” Nick trailed off, with a threatening tone in his voice.

“Fine!” Lenore screamed. “Be a jerk! See what the Hell I care!”

She then angrily stormed out of the house; not knowing it’d be the last time she’d ever be able to go through that door.

Hours later, the Boys were about to go out and look for her, when the phone suddenly rang.

“Hello?” Brian said. “Yes, this is Mr. Littrell.”

The other four looked questioningly at him.

“What?” Brian gasped. “Oh, God, no. Yes, we’ll be right there.”

He turned to everyone else crying.

“What’s wrong cous’?” Kevin asked. “What happened? Who was that?”

“That was Dr. Jones,” Brian answered. “Lenore’s been admitted to the Hospital as she was struck by an impaired driver.”

“What?” The others exclaimed in unison.

They then hurried over to the Hospital to be with her.

“I recall how she’d given us each a special nickname that only she was aloud to use,” Howie stated. “Even the fans knew enough not to call us by her nicknames for us.”

“I remember that,” Nick smiled slightly. “I believe I had the most too.”

“Well, like, hello, she was always with you,” A.J. laughed. “She always wanted to hang with you because you were the closest to her age.”

“She hung out with Aaron often too,” Brian added. “Go figure, she loved to be with the Carter-Brothers, who were six and fourteen years older than her.”

Kevin chuckled. “She even had a special nickname for Aaron too.”

Flashback…

“Daddy?” She gasped once she’d opened her eyes. “What happened? Where am I?”

“You’re in the Hospital Sweetie,” Brian informed her. “There was an accident.”

“Am I going home soon?”

They all casually looked at one another.

“I am going to be okay, aren’t I?” She asked sort of panicky. “Please, tell me I can go home.”

“Lenore, Hun, I’m afraid you’re worse off than you think,” Howie told her calmly as Brian became all choked up. “I’m sorry. I really hate to be the one to tell you this, but, the doctors told us you might not make it.”

He’d said, “might” instead of “won’t”, as he didn’t want to scare her anymore than she already was.

“I’m…I’m going to die…”

The Boys looked away then, as to not have to see the look on her face at that moment.

She winced in pain then, as everything suddenly became very clear.

“J.,” she began. “I want you to have all my written work. It’s on the floor in my closet, buried at the very back, in a box with a picture of you on the top.”

A.J. nodded, and squeezed her hand. “Thanks Babe. I’ll take good care of them for you.”

“Double D., I want you to take my laptop, so you can email your family, instead of jacking up your phone bill everytime you go on tour.”

“Sure thing Hun,” Howie said, then kissed her cheek. “Thanks for the advice.”

“Daddy Kevin, you’re to have my music box,” she replicated. “I also want you to have the latest song I wrote. It’s stuffed in the corner of my pillow case.”

“Thank-you Lil’ One,” Kevin smiled with tears in his eyes.

“Now, give me a hug Daddy Kev, I ain’t got all day.”

“Hold your horses Kiddo,” Kevin told him.

“I haven’t any horses and you know it,” she riposted as she hugged him.

She grimaced in pain again, then continued on with her list.

“Tell Airy, he’s to have my Ninja Turtle merchandise and Patch. Also, tell him, he’s not to lose Patch’s collar,” She verified. “Daddy, I want you to have Baby Duck and my diary.”

“Okay,” Brian responded before kissing her forehead and taking a hold of her right hand, as A.J. had her left.

“Nickster, you’re to keep my drawings, which are hidden under your bed, as that’s where I was when I drew them,” she smiled weakly.

Nick looked at her then, shocked that she wasn’t mad at him for the way he’d treated her earlier.

“I also want you to have Simon…”

“Lenore…”

“Nickster,” she retorted, cutting him off. “You are to keep Simon and take very good care of him for me. If not, I’ll come back and haunt you for all eternity and it won’t be pleasant.”

“But you said…”

“I know I always said I wanted to be buried with him, but I’ve thought about it carefully and want you to have him, as you’ll need him more than me,” she rejoined, beginning to cry. “Please, take care of Simon for me.”

“I will, I promise,” Nick assured her as he squeezed her foot.

“Thanks for…for making me…me happy and…and loving…me,” she just barely choked out. “I…I love…you.”

“We love you too,” they replicated.

The Boys all began to cry then, as her heart monitor went blank and beeped loudly.

Later on that day, after sharing all the good and sad memories, the Boys made their way to her grave, at the nearby cemetery, which read: Lenore Littrell. 1994 - 2008. As long as you love me, baby. She may be gone, but definitely not forgotten.

“You think she’ll like the flowers?” Nick queried.

“They’re blue, so how can she not love them?” A.J. commented. “Like, hello, it’s Lenore, the blue freak, we’re talking about here, remember?”

Brian carefully placed the blue artificial flowers in front of her grave, then kissed his fingertips and placed them on the stone. “I love and miss you Sweetie.”

They all joined hands then, and Kevin said a quick prayer. Once he’d finished the prayer, they all stood there silently.

“Are you sure she doesn’t blame me?” Nick asked suddenly.

“Nicky, she doesn’t blame you, and neither do we,” Howie assured him for the zillionth time. “She loved you too much to ever blame you for something she knows wasn’t your fault.”

“Besides, if she does blame anyone, it’s the drunk who hit her with his car,” A.J. piped up. “Howie’s right, she’d never blame you, and even if she didn’t, she’d never hold a grudge.”

“I sure hope you’re right,” Nick sighed, kneeling down next to her grave. “I can’t bare to think that she hates me and that I was the reason she died at such a young age.”

“God has a plan for everyone Frack,” Brian said, putting his hand on his friend’s shoulder. “It may’ve been His will for her to go, and then again, it could’ve been a honest mistake. We’ll never know for sure which one it is, but even if we did, it wouldn’t matter, because it’d still hurt immensely.”

The five of them hugged then, as they felt it was the right thing to do at the time being. They then turned to leave, but before doing so, Nick said one last thing.

“We love you Lil’ One, and we always will no matter what,” he whispered, placing his hand on her tombstone. “Thanks for showing me the real meaning of life in such a short period of time.”

The Boys left then, all of them with her on their mind.

So, she can’t be really gone No, she can’t be really gone
