He makes his way through solders as they give way, to the front of the line, he walks in slow steady steps, a very unusually person dressed in a shining gold and silver armor, his very long white silky hair dances with the simple breathes of air, his red eyes looking straight forward as he makes his way through.

" My lord, we are no match for them "

" take this, a gift from our lord " he hands him a sword, the blade is thin you can almost see through but unbreakable, the hilt decorated with gold, silver and fiery red emeralds, but lighter then any other sword

" color of the jewels, like my eyes, I will thank my lord as soon I return victorious "

" hold your grounds " huge wings came out of his back, with two flaps he created a dust storm and blasted to the sky to intercept the Guardians mother ship

under the snow, a secret underground bunker where nearly fifty elite protectors prepare for their attack on the mighty fortress

" wake up young protector, wake up " the old man said shaking the young man next to him

Torch gets up and moves his machine gun away from him, and makes sure his light sword is still next to him

" you where dreaming Torch ? " the old master asked

" a nightmare " he said shaking his head pulling his machine gun towards him

the young protector pulls his machine gun closer to him and inspects it

" you never told me why you choose to train me " the young man asked his master with a concern look on his face " I do not have the gift of the protectors, I don't control the light sword like my peers"

the old master smiled as he was getting up and picking up his weapons

" when the battle starts you will soon know. Get up and look for Ian and Aj we have to move "

after a brutal battle with the demon army, Ian Aj and Torch stands along side each other out side the now burning fortress of Escaflown with other protectors

Ian was saying to one of the master protectors

" we should rest the men they will need there strength, every body make sure to take enough food and water "

he looked at Aj and all the rest of the protectors standing around him "it looks like every body is in high spirits, lets keep it that way "
he then continued " today's battle is but one of many, if we are to complete this mission we must be strong and patient "

one of the protectors added " I would like to complement you and Aj on our battle tactics our enemies did not have a chance " Torched didn't like the protector left him out on purpose but at least his friends got the credit any way Aj and Ian are known to be the strongest of all protectors and they are the lowest in ranks amongst others

after they all left only Aj Ian and Torch still discussing, Aj asked Ian " do you believe that Leo has the damn book or even if he managed to pass through to this dimension, we have been destroying fortress after fortress looking for him and that damn book "

Ian said " I don't doubt our masters beliefs nor his orders, if we are to retrieve the book and destroy Leo, we must be clear minded in using our protectors gifts "
Aj gave a quick look at Torch when Ian mentioned gifts, they all left leaving Torch standing there alone

" * just because I'm not gifted means I cant fight like them * " he thought to him self " I am good at what I do, what I am trained to do" he repeated

" Come to us Torch " an eerie voice calls

he walks slowly towards the sound drawing him to ruins of a near by temple

He throws down his chain machine gun and pulls up his light sword

he starts to gather his strength as he gets near the sound

he looks around and sees nothing, only 3 pillars about 4 meters high, with markings of an old satanic language he cannot read

he stands between the 3 pillars looking around trying to make out his bearings

he looks behind him he sees a thin man hooded in a black dirty cloak walking towards him, he looked like gliding on air but he could hear his steps on the snow, he could not see his face

Torch fuels up his arms as he prepares to fight

" what are you, what kind of demon are you " Torch said

" I am Mantorok, keeper of the gift of life, keeper of the Guardians spirit and power, only shall you the one with the dark soul will have "

" you must be mistaken me for some one else demon, you shall die now painfully "

" how can you here me if I have no voice, how can you see me if I have no face, you are the chosen one " he removed the hood, it was like nothing Torch ever seen it sent chills down his spine

his eyes and mouth where sowed shut together, yellowish goo came out from his ears, he could see cuts inflected by a very rusty knife all over his face

he continued " know this, that the protectors plot to kill you "

Torch shouted " you lie "

Mantorok continued " your blood is the key to decipher the book, you must destroy them before they find the book "

Torch shouted " Never, I will not hurt my friends "

Mantorok said " friends ? friends ? is the way they treat you is what you call a friend ? " he then added

" you are the chosen one, take the gift "
and showed him the book

pages made of flesh and bound together by bones, written with blood in an unspoken language encrypted by the Guardians magical incantations, this damn book has the power to release darkness all over the multiverse, engraved on it

" The Quick Sand of Shadows " Torch whispered to him self

" * I knew right there that was my destiny, to think I could not see beyond the veil of our reality to see those who dwell behind, my life know has purpose for I have learned the frailty of flesh and bones I was once a fool


" Torch what are you doing keep away from him " Ian shouted but Torch couldn't see nor hear any thing, the only thing there was the keeper Mantorok and he kept walking towards him slowly lowering his light sword every with every step

" I have learned much, all at once I understood, the forces of the multiverse all made since under the transcending power of the Guardian " Torch mumbled to him self as he feels the power flowing in his veins


" Torch what are you saying, keep away from him " Ian shouted while he turned on his light sword and ran towards Mantorok to kill him

Torch shouted " no mountain to high no city to far face me and you shall surly parish " as he said this last sentence his eyes glowed red

he turned towards Ian and with a quick attack, he stabbed Ian through his heart, Ian looked at Torch not believing what has happened as his soul parted his body

a voice echoed in his head " * Kill all protectors, make way for the new lord of Darkness * "

after Tourch became the Guardian his eyes turned black, like large rare jems they give an unrelaxing gletur to any one who looks, after he killed his friend he escaed for 3 days he kept on walking in the dark avoiding day light

his hunger grew little by little, not for food but some thing else

some thing else

he tries to fight the evil with in him but he cant, its too strong, he contiues on walking, the wether is getting too cold the suns light is getting brighter with each passing day, his feelings for his friend deminesh, the sounds of birds, animals, life it self is gone. Its like even the animals around him can feel the great evil within

the world slowly change in his new eyes, the world is diffrent through the eyes of evil, the world has a diffrent sent, a sent he does not recgonize, food but what is it where is it coming from

He starts running quicky, faster, in an un natrual speed he closes in on what he thinks its his pray, between the bushes he runs like a wild animal.

" a village " he whispers to him self as he pauses for a moment looking down on a kayteen village from the top of a hill side, un armed farmers harvesting there crops wemen either helping or doing other chores, children play in a near by feald as the sun shines brightly in the middle of the sky

" * your Hungry * " a voice echoed in his head

" Im Hungry " he whispered repeating after the voice

" * satisfy your hunger * " the voice answered

" How "

" Kill them, tortrure them, suck there souls "

" but the wemen and children ?!"

" the more they pain, fear they feel the more pleasure you will have from there souls "

he closed his eyes for a moment and tried to over come the evil feeling, he raped his arms around him self and sat in his place between the bushes

" sir, what are you doing " a young kayteen girls maybe 6 or 7 years old found him, she inocintly asks

not very far traking him is the old master protector examins a foot print on the ground between the bushes

" Master protector have you picked up his trail " Aj asked as she tightend her grip on her Light Sword

" Yes, not very far, perhaps a day or less in this direction "

the old man stode up and ignited his Light Sword

" he is heade to Shat'urah village, we must hasten " he raise his hand signiling the army of protectors following them

they all ignite there Light Swords and started running on the Guardians Trail

" he will die by my sword " Aj shouted

The old man sceptical, with the awakining of the Guardian complicates things. Now they have two enemies, Leo from one side and the Guardian from the other

The sun sets behind the mountins giving an evil red glow on the land

" A red sun……… a bad omen " the old man said while still runing

The trails end at the edge of a hill, after a quick inspection of the area he looks at the small village below

" Master the village is burning " Aj shouted

She quikcly runs down followed by a few protecters

" Aj DON’T GO, THIS MIGHT BE A TRAP " the old man shouted and ran behind her down the hill

The Guardian was gone, but what he left behind was a signetrue of how evil he became, how his humanity dimmineshed and left nothing to replace it with a dark demon

Men and wemen where crossefied in the town squwer, there skin was pale, like blood was dranined from there bodies, markins of a Light Sword on there bodies, some where missing limbs and parts of there bodies, there hearts where removed like its riped out of there bodies with his hand, they all there eyes where missing

Most of the protectors coudlnt take the horrific site

The old man approched one of the bodies and closed his eyes, he could almost see his former puple, the Guardian,

" they where alive when he did this to them, he wanted them to fear him, hate him, to feel pain so he could devour there souls " the old master said

None of the protectors dared to use there powers to see what happned

" he did all that in front of the children, he grows hungry for there souls "

Tears came down Ajs eyes as she tries to imagine the pain and suffering they all went thru

The old man continued " the children, he didn't kill the children "

a protector questioned " perhaps he took them some place else to finish them "

" no " the old man replied " if he wanted to finish them he would have done it in front of there parents, look around in the burning houses quick "

the all quickly scatter around looking for the children

" there in that barn yard over there " Aj with a low voice mentioned

" how did you know "

" I dared and looked, I sow what he is capable of doing, he pulled there eyes out with his knife while they where alive and made the children carry it before ripping there hears out for there souls"

they all head to the near by barn and quickly enter securing it, all the village kids where there, boys and girls ages between 3 to 10 years old, each group tide to a pillar with there eyes bound by a bloody peace of cloth, and in front of each one are the eyes of there parents

they where all crying, scared, not knowing there fate, but there was no sign of the Guardian any where, they where late

The Guardian escaped and he is on his way to the crimson gate, the only way to earth guarded by a group of elite protectors, the old man knew that if he was able to do all this in a short time he would have no problem in over coming them

" Master ? Master ? "

the quite master didn't reply to Aj's calls, he was looking as the protectors free the terrified children

" Father ? " Aj shakes the old man to get his attention

" you know some thing, don't you " Aj asked looking in her fathers eyes

" we have to go the gate quickly " the old man replied while walking out

What he feared the most for so long have come true, the Guardian on earth

The Crimson Corridor

Aj sad and disgusted from what she have seen, along side her father she rides a Dorth a horse like creature that they borrowed from the kayteen village, traveling with them are traumatized kayteen escorting them on there way to the village surrounding the crimson gate

approaching the crimson corridor, a narrow path between the mountain, Aj express her concerns to her father

" Father, I mean Master, should we avoid the corridor ? don't you think its dangerous ? "

" will it is faster and we need to get there before the Guardian does "

" we could be ambushed by torch or Leo's army "

" never call him torch, cause he is now dead, Leo will not lose this realm, by now he is pulling back his forces with additional battalions to secure the gate leading to Out World "

Aj nodes her head as they slowly enter the corridor

At the back of the group two Protectors guarding the rear notice a very strange thing

" Gaf, look at this Kayteen child "

" Ryan, a Kayteen Cub not child "

" Ok I get it, look at him "

" whats wrong with him ? "

" Look at his eyes Gaf, its like he already planning his revenge while the other kids are still shocked "

" It is strange for a Cub to react like that, especially at his age, look at the medallion around his nick "

" it means he is of noble blood or royalty maybe "

" if we are under attack keep an eye on him, he might be of importance later "

Not very far behind keeping a safe distance the new ambassador of darkness watch, patiently waiting for the moment, to approach with out detecting his presence

This time he has a new prey, and will kill all the Protectors to succeed

Aj asks her father and Master " what is his dream ? "

" Excuse me "

" you heard me, Torch, I mean Guardian "

" his visions ? "

" his Nightmare, he had no visions can you please tell me "

" will, he is in a desert land where an army of him desperately attack a great twister made of fire and lava, him and all the others like him are armed with all kinds of unknown technological weapons. They are burned and crushed one by one like bugs "

" some dream "

" some vision, I have a feeling that he sow the future "

" What makes you so sure, its not from playing all these resident evil games "

" a protectors hunch " he smiled and taped his nose

The sun reflects a sky blue light from the rocks of the surrounding walls of the mountain, a light fog wall covers there front and rear desperately attempting to block there path, the birds musical incantations silenced, small animals creatures of the corridor vanished, the Dorths grew wrestles with every inch they take deep with in the narrow passageway, sensing the imminent danger approaches at high speed

And the protectors blinded by there recent victory, morning the fall of there brothers in arms and haunted by the evil spawned and unleashed on the poor villagers

That all what Ryan heard before he had numb feeling in his right arm and found out it has been sliced off, blood bursts out

" GAF !!, PROTECT THE KIDS, WE ARE UNDER ATTACK " he shouts out

Gaf quickly turns on his light sword and shouts

" ALERT, EVERY BODY ALERT "

He looks around and tries to locate the source of the attacker but he couldn’t see any thing

They Protectors quickly turned on there Light Sword and checked there surroundings while two of them went to help on Ryan who is cant hold him self screaming cause of the pain

" where is he, can any body see any thing " Aj shouts as she goes through them checking

Gaf shouts alerting every body " he is behind us, I see him "

As the fog slowly lefts off they can almost see the Guardian walking slowly towards them while the fog still covers his face

The Master Protector shouts his battle plan " four guard the rear every body full speed keep going, Aj you lead "

" Master what about you " Aj said

" don’t argue now go " and went to the rear while Aj singled every body to follow her

At the rear the four Protectors jumped out of there Dorths and went to face the Guardian

He slowly turns on his Light Sword Clashes with the four

Mean while the Master Protector was covering the rear while they escaped, he looked back and sow the Guardians Light Sword goes through one of the Protectors before the fog covered every thing

" this is bad, he is getting stronger faster then anticipated, I'm the only one here who can stop him, I must face him alone " the old Master mentioned to him self

" no my Master you must not " Gaf was close enough to here him

" Gaf my boy only an elite master like me can face such an evil right now, you and your peers are not ready yet, inform our elected master, tell him the Guardian is awaken sooner then expected, take care of my daughter, "

Gaf nodded and handed his Light Sword to the old man

" good luck " was the masters final words before stopping his Dorth and watching the Protectors disappear within the mist with only little ahead before reaching there destination

He jumped of the very nervous Dorth, he gave it a slap on the back to make it run off following the trails of the others

He turns slowly around and turns on both Light Swords

" no need to hide, I can since you demon " the old man shouted

Three heads rolled from the fog that seemed ever so thicker and thicker closing around the old man

It was the heads of the other Protectors, with no eyes

He slowly emerged from within the fog warping the bloody skinned face of the forth on his face holding it with both hands from the side

" it was really hard making them fear me, even when I skinned this face while he was still alive and they helplessly watched to taste that beautiful taste, the irresistible taste of the human soul ripping out of the body, I had to make them feel the pain "

He then pealed the face off him and threw it to the ground, licking the blood of his finger before he went for this Light Sword

the old man closed his eyes gathering his power

" No Fear, No Pain, No hatred " the old man shouted " that is the way to kill you " he continued

The Crimson gate, five pillars made of an unknown stone that have magical engravings that is capable of opening gates to other locations or dimensions if placed in the proper location

That location was the only none powerful enough place to open a gate way to earth, the engravings on each pillar is different from the other, and no one knows what it means but they only know how to open or close the gate

The gate was opening and hundreds of protectors came out of the gate preparing to fight the ultimate battle

Armed to the teeth with all kinds of automatic assault weapons and one man mini assault tanks courtesy of the Terren Corporation

As Aj's group approaches, she could clearly see the huge army coming out of the gate and forming for immediate battle

She was glad to see enough Protectors to protect them against the Guardian, but she couldn’t figure out how they got word to mobilize this fast

After cutting a few miles not looking back or risking the group meet with the young commander and Master Protector, his blond hair partly covers his face, his sky blue eyes reflects his determination, his white skin scared with the wounds of many battles, but his face gives fear to his enemy and reflects his kind heart to his brethrens, General Bora

" good evening General " Aj said to the Bora as she dismounted the Dorth

" hey little sis, ready for a big battle ? "

" How did you know about the Guardian ? "

" Guardian ?, revived ?! " Bora couldn’t believe that the Guardian was revived with out any of the Protectors feeling his presence

" where is Ian ?, where is father ? " Bora asked his younger sister

" Ian slain on the hands of the Guardian, he possessed Torch, our father is battling with him as we speak in the corridor "

A moment of cold silence passed quickly, Bora was getting agetated the one enemy he feared the most was on his way to him

" will we don’t have time to rescue him " Bora said while walking away making sure that every thing is ok

" what ?!, no time to go back for father ? " she tries to stand in front of him

" listen, Leo him self is arching his army full force on his way here, this is the big one, winner takes all for this dimension "

Aj was stunned, it was not a very wise and tactical decision that Leo would make

" where are we meeting Leo " Aj asked

He took out a small PDA screen and showed her

" we are meeting Leo here, over the Galiana Trench " Bora pointed

The Galiana Trench protects the eastern border of the gate, it takes four to five days to go around it, a powerful cold down draft pulls which ever flies above it, so the only way across is the Galiana bridge, the structure is half mile wide and a mile and a half across this bridge made of steel concrete and magic to hold it is a witness for all living things of the power and knowledge of the Kayteen elders before the wars against Leo doomed them in eternal darkness

Bora continued " we need you to be in charge of plan B, you are going back to earth and destroy the other side of the gate and make sure nothing comes out that way "

Aj with a few tears formed in her eyes looked at Boras eyes and asked with a shivering voice " what do you want me to do ? "

She knew that on this day will mark the lost of all her family and loved ones, she felt it all along

" now you have the burden of protecting earth against all evil, please kneel down “

She quickly obeyed while her tears started coming down uncontrollable and Bora quickly puts his hand on her head and telepathically transfers all the translating of the codes used in reading the ancient protectors language, a tradition and a reward for newly promoted Protectors to Master Protectors

“ Now Master Protector Aj, please take your group and the wounded go now, we don’t have much time “

Aj still on the ground as Bora turns his back to her and walks away

“ Goodbye little sis “ he whispers

She slowly stands up “ goodbye big brother, please take care “

She turns to her group and signals them to get ready

“ we are heading to the gate “ she shouts to every one and heads to the Dorth, Gaf approaches her

“ what do we do with the Kayteen cubs, what of the people of the crimson gates, we cant leave them here in the middle of this “

“ I know, but they will be safer here then with us “

“ who ever wins will slaughter them like cattle “

“ Bora could win, and anyways who ever wins will be to tired to do any thing “

Gaf didn’t like what he just heard, as soon as she left he takes of his long leather coat and covers a Kayteen cub that was standing very close next to him

It was the cub that wears a strange looking medallion, Gaf could sense he is very important to him and the future of this war, and that the Guardian wants him dead or alive really bad

“ hold on really tight, do you understand, keep quite and don’t say any thing and ill take good care of you “

The little Kayteen Cub nodes his head understanding every word

He picks up the kid and puts him first on the Dorth, he then jumps on it and quickly follows the group who already left behind Aj

From the distance Aj looks back as she approaches the gate and sees the Leo’s army thousands of demons hordes already at the other side of the bridge and the Protectors army prepares for battle

She turns her head towards the gate

“ every body set up the chargers and time them for fifteen minutes “

She quickly jumps out of the Dorth and starts the magical incantations for opening the gate to earth

the sounds of exploding bombs can be heard in the distance, smoke can be seen rising from the bridge, they could almost make out the thousands who are battling on the bridge

a big flash and a large blue liquid ball just appeared from nowhere

“ every body lets go, the gate is open, leave what belongs to this world and lets go “

They all dismounted the Dorths and started walking through the gate

“ Only now you will under stand fear as I have “

The voice sends chills down Aj’s spine

“ Guardian “ Aj grunts as she turns to his voice

“ the old man couldn’t make it, but he requests me to lend you a hand “ while he waves her fathers Light Sword while his hands still grips on it

Aj explodes “ you monster Ill kill you my self now “

A four Protectors quickly grab her

“ No Master Protector, you should go back, we will hold him “ one of them said

The other whispers in her ear “ don’t forget the explosives

She looks around and only her and the four others are left behind “ guys, No Guts No Glory “

And she quickly runs through the gates and the last thing she sow was the Guardian running towards the gate and the four Protectors attacking him

As she teleports back she quickly setup the explosives with help from Gaf

She stands a few miles away as she sees the gate blew up, a large fire ball lights up the night sky as the sun disappears and all that remains are smoke that is quickly fading away into the wind

So as Aj’s family
