"Hey Babe" Brett said as he put his arms around Storm's waist,
"HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Beverly shouted as she playful hit Brett,
"Its the night before your wedding.... you know the rule" she scolded him,
"Im sorry, Jay had to come get something" he said defending himself, Beverly turned and gave her husband a stern look,
"Get out all of you ... inculding you two" She said turning to the other two guys who were laughing at them,
"Brett, Jason, Nick and Damien .... out now" she said as she pushed them out of the front door,
"but .... but .... its my house too" Jason said shocked that his wife would actully kick him out,
"its a girls night no guys allowed sorry" Storm told them with a smile as they all left.
"Thanks Beverly" she said as she hugged her step-mom and walked into the lounge to wait for Dana, a very good friend.

she sighed, and looked sadly at the photo in her hand,
"Hey where's the bride to be" Dana called, as she walked in with Misha, Storm smiled at them, and got up to give my friend a big hug,
"Hey" she said softly, just then Beverly walked in with a smile and two cups of coffee,
"Whats wrong, you haven't got cold feet have you?" Dana asked laughing, Storm smiled brightly at them,
"No way," she answered confidently,
"I wonder what he's doing now?" she said in a dreamy tone, which made everyone laugh. Storm turned and picked up the photo frame, and without even realising it, she noticed a tear slide down her face,
"I wish you were here Cass" she whispered even after 6 years, it still hurt her to think of them, they had been such a big part of her life, that she had totally fallen off the rails when she had lost them, Storm really thought my life was over, but thankfully to all her friends and family, she slowly started to get back to the way she used to be, Storm missed Cassie and Brenda so much and not a miniute in a day went by without thinking of them, but slowly things were falling back into place, starting with tomorrow, she was going to marry her hero, and the only guy she had ever fallen for, he had put up with a lot from her in the beggining of thier relasionship. But tomorrow they were finally tieing the knot, Storm was going to marry Brett and it was the happiest she had felt since Cassie.

~~~with the guys~~~
"So ..... What do we do now?" Nick asked his friends as they stood outside Jasons' house, Damien smiled and took a good look at his surroundings, it had been so long since he had seen Storm this happy, and it made him happy, She was his little sister, (well not technically) but he had known her since she was 3, and to think that she was getting married made him happy, but he also knew it must be hurting her so bad, not to have Cassie there, he could remember walking into Jasons house so many times, and they would be drawing pictures of their wedding dresses and planning thier double wedding. Jason taped Damien on the shoulder,
"you okay man?" he asked, Damien just smiled at them,
"Yeah, was just wondering how Sami is really coping," he said sadly, They looked at Brett,
"You okay" he asked, Brett smiled at them,
"yeah, listen there is something I have to do, I'll meet ya guys in an hour," he replied, they all knew where he was going,
"meet us at the firehouse, i got to get something from there before we party" Jason said, they all said good-bye to each other and headed in thier own directions.
Once Brett got his destination, he smiled sadly and walked up to the familiar stone, he sat down on the grass and laid the flowers he bought, next to the stone,
"hey Cassie" he started,
"can you belive that Storm and I are getting married," he sighed and lay down looking up at the stars,
"I really wish you and mom could come to the wedding tomorrow" he replied as he wipied the tear away,
"you should see her Cass, she looks so beautiful, I can't even belive how lucky I am to be marring her, but she did look sad, I know she wishes you and mom were going to come tomorrow .... everyone misses you guys cass" he said sadly, he smiled slightly, and lay there for a little while before heading back to the firehouse.
He slowly walked into the firehouse, it was unsually quiet that night ... he quietly walked into the firehouse and jumped when everyone shouted "SURPRISE" he grinned at them, enjoying the moment.
~~~Back with the girls~~~

"Sami" Dale shouted running up to Storm, she smiled down at him and picked him up,
"you awake" she asked her little 5 year old half-brother, he gave her a hug as she put him down, and he ran up to Beverly. Storm sat down again, and as usual Cassie came to my mind,
"Aunt Storm" 4 year old Misha said walking up to her,
"yeah sweetie" she asked gently, as she lifted the little girl on to her lap,
"Who's that" she asked pointing to the photo of Storm and Cassie, Storm let out a little chuckle as she rememebered the day that photo had been taken.
"She was my best friend in the whole world" She told Misha,
"Is she coming to the party tomorrow" Dale asked her, She smiled down at the little boy,
"no, she's with the angels" she told him,
"Can you tell us what happened?" Misha asked looking up at Storm,
"No sweetie ... leave aunty Storm alone for a while" Dana quickly replied as she took Misha and gave her an appoligetic look, she just smiled,
"its okay Dana," Storm answered as she started to tell them the story of her best friend,

~~~~~BACK TO 1990~~~~~
Storm came home on that cold winters day, she saw her dad's car parked outside, and ran into the house hoping to just get to say goodbye to him before he left for work, Jason was a fire fighter so she was used to not seeing much of him, but still missed her dad lots and cherished the times she spent with him.
"YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME .... TO HER!" Jason shouted at Megan, close to tears, Megan couldn't look at him, so she turned her head the other way.
"I'm sorry Jay, but this isn't who I am anymore, I never was the type to get married, have kids and settle down, it was just a mistake, Im so sorry I hurt you and my baby, but I have to go" Megan told Jason trying to get him to understand.
"Well its not okay, we made a promise to be together till death do us part, now it gets tough, you're walking out, how can you call yourself a mother, you don't deserve Storm" Jason said harshly,
"You can stay until tomorrow then, I want you out" he whispered so that Storm didnt hear him. He turned and walked out the room and to the front door.
"DADDY" Storm shouted as she ran into her fathers arms, and gave him the biggest hug she could manage,
"Are you going to work?" she asked him quietly,
"Yeah ... Baby, I'll see you tomorrow morning okay, now give me a kiss" he told the little girl with a smile as she kissed him.
"Bye daddy, I love you" She shouted from the front door, he turned around and waved to her.
"Hey Storm," megan said kneeling down to the same height as her daughter.
"How was school?" she asked
"it was fun mommy Mrs. Steward let me colour in" she said excitedly,
"Mommy, this is for you, so if you go away you can remember me and daddy" Storm said handing her mom the family picture she had drawn for them. The tears started to flow down Megan's face
"mommy ... whats wrong, why are you sad?" She asked walking up to Megan and huging her.
"mommies got to go away for a while baby" Megan answered.
"Can I come with you?" Storm asked excitedly.
"Sorry sweetie, you got to stay with Daddy ... you don't want him to be sad do you?" Megan asked the little girl, Storm shook her head.
"I'll miss you mommy" she said sadly, as she gave Megan a hug,
"I'll miss you too baby" Megan aswered sadly, she carried Storm to the lounge to watch some cartoons, even though Megan was such a success she wanted Storm to grow up a normal child, so they lived like every other family. After dinner Megan and Storm watched a cartoon together and Megan carried Storm to bed, as she tucked her daughter into bed, she kissed her on the forhead.
"Night baby, mommy loves you more then you'll ever know" she whispered to the sleeping child, and gathered her things, she was going to wait for morning but she couldnt, it was to painfull, so she waited outside until Jason came home from work.
As Megan walked out of the room, Storm turned to look at the door, and grabbed the soft toy that Megan had given her the christmas before, she lay in bed and cried her self to sleep, she knew deep down Megan wasn't going to come home to them.
"Are you leaving now?" Jason asked her coldly,as he walked up the drive way after work that night, Megan looked away, not able to look him in the eyes,
"its for the best" she whispered as she picked up her bag.
"Well don't bother ever coming back" Jason hissed as he stormed passed her and into the house, he slammed the door shut behind him, he stood there quietly for a few moments, then went to check on Sami, he smiled as he watched his beautiful baby girl sleep all cuddled up. He just wanted to hold her, keep her from knowing the truth about Megan leaving, his heart was breaking more every second that went by, how was he going to tell this beautiful little angel that her mom loved her "acting" life more then her child, he quitely climbed into the bed next to Storm and fell asleep.
When she woke up the next morning she turned over and saw her dad sleeping next to her, she grinned and cuddled closer waiting for her dad to wake up.
Jason had taken a few days off work to sort things out, so the next morning he woke up later then he had expected, and let Storm stay off school, after the day before he wasnt sure what he was going to do, but he knew he had to be strong and brave for Storm, He smiled as he watched his sleeping Angel, she looked so happy ... so peacefull,
"Hey Daddy" Storm greeted him the next morning as he was busy making breakfast,
"What ya wanna do today?" he asked her.
"Go the the Zoo" she said with a big grin,
"So we can see a monkey just like you?" he teased her as she giggled,
"Daddy, don't be silly ... I don't look like a monkey" she told him,
"you don't" he asked her pretending to be shocked,
"What do you look like then?" he asked,
"I look like a Princess" she replied he grinned and started tickling her,
"DADDY ... NO" she squealed as she ran into the lounge, Jason just laughed as he watched his daughter put the Cartoon Network channel on.
~~~A few days later~~~

"Hey ... are you Jason Williams?" a pretty brunette lady asked Jason,
"uh yeah" he replied putting out his hand to shake this ladies hand,
"hi, im Brenda Johnson ... Cassies mom," she introduced herself, Jason just smiled,
"listen I heard about your wife, i'm really sorry, my husband also left, so I know how difficult this whole Single Parent thing is, but if you need any help please just phone" she told Jason. He just smiled at her,
"Thanks .... Brenda, but we okay for now" he answered as the kids all ran out of school,
"DADDY" Storm shouted as she ran up to Jason,
"hey babygirl" he said as he picked her up, they said good-bye to Cassie and Brenda and headed home.
"Daddy" Storm asked when they got home,
"Mommy isnt coming back is she" Sami asked sadly, Jason felt his heart break into a million pieces to see the sad look on Stroms face,
"I'm sorry baby, no she's not" He told the little girl, he couldnt lie to her, she looked up him and and gave a sad smile,
"we'll be okay" she told Jason as she hugged him and went to finish colouring her picture in.

Jason quite the fire house and took a job as a salesman, even though he was very good at it, he missed the rush of risking his life and putting out fires, the thought he might not make it out one of the fires, it was a scary thought after Sami was born, but it was also apart of his job. He went out with a few women, but Storm always knew she was much more important than any girl her dad brought home.

"Cass" Storm said one night while sleeping at Cassies house.
"Yeah" she asked stopping the dvd and turning to her,
"I need your help" She told her friend then looked to the floor,
"Whats wrong?" she asked concerned.
"Its my dad" Storm started,
"Lately he looks so sad, I think he wants to go back to the fire house." she said to her,
"Really? how do you know?" she asked me,
"Well, you remember Damien right?" I asked looking at her, she grinned at me and nodded,
"yeah, that really cute blond guy?" she asked, Storm just smiled at her friend.,
"yeah, him ... well he came for dinner the other night and my dad was talking to him about all the fires they used to put out, and its the first time since my mom left that I saw the excitment gleaming in his eyes" Storm said to her best friend.
"Cassie, what if my dad gets tired of me like my mom did and leaves?" I asked worridly.

The thought bringing tears to her eyes,
"Nuh ... huh ... he could never get tired of you, your the funnest person in the whole world" 8 year old Cassie told her best friend. An even worse thought struck Storm
"What if he dies" she whispered,
"not even, your dad can't die he's like Superman or something" Cassie stated, matter-of-factly, Storm giggled,
"how can my dad be Superman" she asked her best friend with smile,
"well okay maybe not superman, but he is magic, how else would he be able to make you feel all better, not all dad's can do that, mine can't" Cassie whispered. Storm smiled at Cassie,
"Cass your my best friend" she said, Cassie looked up at Storm,
"your mine too" she said giving Storm a big hug they said good-night, as they climbed into bed.

That night Storm lay in bed thinking about her dad, Jason had practally given up his whole life for her, he deserved to be happy, afterall Megan hadnt just abanddon Storm but Jason too. She pulled out the picture she carried around of Jason and Megan, and kissed the picture,
"Night dad, I love you" she whispered as she fell asleep with the picture in her hand.

Storm woke up the next morning to a very hyper Cassie.
"Get up .... Get up" Cassie sang as she danced around the room,
"why are you so hyper ... so early" a tired Storm asked her friend,
"Brett is coming for 2 weeks," she squealed,
"really?" Storm asked as she jumped up, Brett was Cassie's older but very cute brother, he was 5 years older then Cass, but she never got to see him because he lived with her dad and Cassie lived with Brenda.

"CASSIE ... STORM ..... BREAKFAST" Brenda shouted as she knocked on the girls door,
"coming mom" Cassie shouted back as the girls ran out of the bedroom and to the kitchen that morning.
"Storm, what times your dad coming?" Brenda asked taking a mouthful of cereal.
"at 12 o clock" Storm answered,

"Storm you okay?" Brenda asked, She told her everything that she had told Cassie the night before,
"Thats very sweet of you to want your dad to be happy storm, but he'll never leave you. Just tell him if he does decide to go back, I'll be more then happy to look after you." She said and got up to finish the kitchen. Cassie and Storm ran to the lounge and sat watching cartoons for the rest of the morning.

"Hey Brenda, Thanks for letting Storm stay here" Jason said
"its always a pleasure to have her here, you want some coffee" Brenda asked, as she opened the door more.
"Uh ... thanks but its okay, we got to go shopping," He said with an appoligetic smile.
"DADDY!!!" Storm shouted as she came running down the stairs,
"Hey princess" Jason said, picking his daughter up and giving her a huge hug,
"I missed you" he told her,
"I missed you too" he said as he turned to Cassie and started messing up her hair,
"Bye Brenda" Storm said, hugging her,
"BYE CASS" she shouted,
"BYE STORM!!" Cassie and Brenda shouted from the front door.

"Where are we going daddy?" Storm asked Jason as they drove into town on that busy Saturday lunch time,
"We just doing a little bit of shopping okay" he told his 9 year old daughter,
"Did you hear, Brett is coming to visit Cassie and Brenda" Storm said excitedly, Jason just smiled at his daughter as he grabbed her hand and they crossed the busy street to get into the Trade Center, It was nearly Halloween and the shops had already started getting all the creepy Holloween decorations out, Jason and Storm walked into the supermarket, grabbed a basket and headed for the food court of the supermarket,
"What do you want for dinner babygirl?" Jason asked his daughter, Storm smiled at him and thought for a moment,
"how about burgers?" he asked standing by the deep freeze,
"okay" Storm agreed, He pulled out a few boxes with burger patties in them, and put it into the basket,
"Hey Mr. Dangerous" A voice called from behind Jason and Storm, Jason turned around to see who had called him that, and a big grin plastered his face as he saw some of his old buddies from the firehouse standing there. Storm stood shly at Jason's side as she watched these guys with her dad, she knew straight away who they were by the expression on Jason's face,
"Hey cutie" Damien said with that Oh-so-gorgous grin, as he bent down to Storms height,
"Do you remember Lou and Kyle" Jason asked as the other two guys smiled at Storm,
"No" she said shaking her head,
"Well you were probably to small, but you have grown up so much, and Damien's right, you are a cutie" Kyle said smiling at her.

Storm stood there quietly as Damien, Lou, Kyle and Jason spoke for a while, then Jason invited them over for Thanks-giving the next month, everyone said thier goodbyes as they all went in different directions.
"You want to rent a movie Storm?' Jason asked as they stopped by the video shop, Storm ran inside and to the kiddies section of the video shop, she chose Little mermaid, and Jason took it to the counter and paid for it, after that they headed home.

When they got home, Jason put the video on for Storm, and she sat there watching her cartoon, Once it had finished she noticed she hadn't seen Jason at all during the cartoon, and ventured around the house looking for him, she found him in his room sitting on the bed going through old photo albums,
"Daddy .... what are you doing?" Storm asked him from the doorway,
"hey, is your cartoon finished" he asked, looking up at her with a smile, she just nodded and slowly walked into the room,
"Come look here" he said gently as Storm walked over to him,
"Who were those guys with Damein at the shops?" Storm asked him softly,
"They my buddies from the fire house" he told her, lifting her up on to his lap.
"Do you miss the fire-house?" She asked him quietly, he looked down at her with a sad smile,
"Yeah baby, a little" he answered and turned the page of the photo album.
The next photo was a group of guys, Storm smiled when she saw Jason standing there with that guy Lou, and a big grin on his face,
"Where's Damien?" Storm asked looking at each of the members carefully,
"This was taken before Damien started" Jason exclaimed, Storm looked up at him and saw a look of longing on his face, that she had never seen before, She knew then that the only way Jason would be happy again was if he went back to the fire-house.

"Daddy" she whispered softly
"Yeah Princess," he asked with a smile as he closed the book and looked down at Storm,
"I want you to go back to the fire-house" she told him, He looked at her stunned,
"But babygirl, If I go back who will look after you?" he asked her concerned,
"Brenda" she stated,
"She already said she will" Storm said proudly, then gave Jason a big hug,
"I love you dadddy, and I want you to be happy" She whispered to him, then jumped off the bed and ran back to the lounge to watch Cartoon Network.

~~~Jason~~~
He sat there stunned had his 9 year old daughter just said what he thought she did, had she worked out everything and did he really want to go back to the firehouse, after hearing Damien and the guys go on about the fire, it made it that much more tempting, but then I opened the album to a picture of Storm and Cassie, Could he really leave his baby and go back to risking his life, he thought seriously then decided to make himself a cup of coffee, he walked into the lounge and smiled as he watched his little girl sleep, all cuddled up, it was in moments like these that I really felt sorry for Megan, missing out in precious moments of Storms life, he fetched a blanket and wrapped it gently around her, then sat to watch a movie.
Jason lay awake that night tossing and turning, excitment creeping back into him, at the thought of going back to the fire house, he got up and went into the kitchen to get a glass of water, When I turned around Storm was standing there.
"Daddy" Storm whispered
"I'm scared, can I sleep with you?" she asked softly, Jason looked down at his little Angel and smiled,
"Sure Princess" He said as he took her hand and led her back to the room, as we climbed into bed, she cuddled up next to me,
"Daddy ... are you going to go back to the fire house?" she asked,
"Only if you want me to" Jason said, stroking his daughters hair,
"If you do go back, does that mean I get to see Damien more?" she asked excitedly,
"I can arrange that" Jason said with a grin.
"Night daddy" she said kissing him on the cheek,
"Night babygirl" Jason told his daughter.
Jason decided to go back to the fire house, things were difficult in the begining, but soon realized it was working for everyone, the only thing he didnt like, was that he didnt get to spend as much time with Storm. The years went by quickly and Jason was really thankfull to Brenda, without her he would never have been able to get his old job back.
