Letters From Home by MelC
He handed her a letter that read
Don't cry for what you don't know
You must be strong enough to let go
Try to hold on to the good memories
Know in your heart she loved you, too
Everything she thought of was in there
Putting the letter down and taking a sip
Coffee in hand and a cigarette
She let the tears flow as she read
Don't cry for what you don't know
You must be strong enough to let go
He opened the daily mail to find
What he wrote her a long time
Setting down with that note
He read it again, as he wrote
Don't cry for what you don't know
You must be strong enough to let go
Taking a photo into his hand
He let the tears flow
I was only a girl that day
Didn't know what to say
Looking behind him I saw
Grandpa looking at Grandma
And then I gave him hug and said..
Don't cry for what you don't know
You must be strong enough to let go
