Chapter 18

When Nick woke up he saw that Anna was gone but then saw a note that was taped to his chest. So he took it off and read it.

"Nick,
Sorry to leave without waking you...But you just looked so cute sleeping...I just couldn't wake you.
Anyway, If you’re wondering where I am I'm at school it’s only Thursday. One more day till the weekend YAY!
So if you want to come and see me then come around 11am that's my lunch time.

Nick looked at the clock and saw it was already 10:30am so he got a shower got dressed and left for the school.

When he walked through the doors he saw Anna auguring with a guy who looked like to be 17 or 18 years old but instead of breaking it up he just stood and watched

After she was done she just walked away but without realizing her poetry notebook fell out so the guy picked it up and when he did a loose sheet fell out so he picked it up he looked at it and read it hmm impressive for a kid he thought to himself he looked around to see where he went and thats when he spotted her with Nick so he walked over to them Anna turned around seeing him come up from the corner of her eye "come back for more?" she asked
the guy shook his head "no, I don't feel like getting yelled at again but umm this fell out of your bag" he said handing her the notebook
Anna smiled "Hmm, you're not so bad after all i guess" she said taking the notebook back
the guy laughed "thanks but umm when i picked it up this fell out" he said handing her the poem "its really good impressive for a girl you're age" he added
Anna took the paper and slipped it inside of the book "thanks" she said
the guy smiled at her "no problem" he said and went back to his friend

Vanessa then ran over to her "do you have any idea who that is?" she asked excitedly
Anna laughed "umm, no....why?" she asked now very curious as to who this guy was
Vanessa grinned "that was Tristan Taylor" she answered very giggly
Anna looked Vanessa "really?" she asked very disbelieving
Vanessa nodded "and isn't he the guy you had a crush on all last year? From the moment you saw him and his band at flatbread you were hooked" she said giggling
Anna laughed at Vanessa's gigglness "yea that’s that the guy....it's just disbelieving cause he's changed so much since I last saw him you know I didn't think it was humanly possible but I think he's gotten hotter" she said then remembered Nick was standing behind her she turned around and looked at him
He looked down at her "you know I don't really need to hear about your ex-crushes" he said
Anna giggled "I know I’m sorry.....forgive me?" she asked pouting cutely
Nick laughed "yea, yea, yea, you’re forgiven" he said pulling her into his arms
Anna smiled "hey Nick?" she asked
Nick let go of her "yea?" he asked
Anna looked up at him "well since my 3rd got cancelled me and Vanessa were planning on going shopping since we got nothing else better to do so can i have some money to go shopping?" she asked carefully
Nick smiled and pulled out his wallet and handed her two 50's "that enough?" he asked
Anna nodded unable to speak by the fact that she was given 100 dollars



That Night.....
Nick and The guys were in Toronto doing one final concert as 5 Backstreet Boys in the middle of the concert. After the song ended AJ walked over to Nick and threw an around his neck
"hey everyone! we know you guys love screaming so that’s why we need you to scream extra loud for our special guest but before we do that why don't ya'll cheer for Nicky here he's here alive and well!!!" he said into the mic.
The fans screamed so loud that you could almost go deaf
After a minute of non-stop screams, "Okay!!!!" AJ screamed into the mic. "calm down now....its time for our special guest...special guest please come out here" he said and out walked Anna holding onto her poem her and Kevin linked arms he walked her over Nick now it was Kevin's turn to talk
"Okay, okay we know you love us but just be quiet for a minute" he said and almost as if on cue all the fans quieted down
Kevin grinned, pleased "thank you! Now this beautiful young lady we have with his is the girl that pretty much saved Nick's life she is the girl that was held hostage with Nick she took so many beatings for him and he did the same for her but after they got out they didn't want to part. At first they were friends but then it just turned into something more and now he's the happiest I’ve seen him and I am forever thankful for Anna for doing what she said for our little brother and Anna I know that I speak for backstreet family and the fans when I say 'thank you for pretty much saving Nick's life and making him the happiest he's ever been'" he said then kissed her cheek the fans screamed at their lungs
Anna smiled "you're welcome" she said
Brian then came forward "now the real reason she's here is because she has something she'd like to say to Nick" he said then handed her the mic.
Anna smiled "thanks.....umm this is a poem for Nick called 'You're Essential'" she said to the fans then she turned to Nick

"You are the one thing essential to me, you're the water I drink, the air I breathe. If I could only make you see, then what a wonderful place the world would be? As the world would see you smile, as I thank you for walking every step, every mile, with me through our tough trial. You were the only beautiful thing, in all things vile. Do not ever doubt that my love is true. What would I be without you? There would be nothing in this world I could do, you're the pigment that makes my sky blue. Despite jealousy under your skin, your love for me you've never hidden. Only through pain could love begin, to deny you would be my only sin...I love you Nickolas Gene Carter"

Nick grinned and stepped closer to her he bent his down and kissed her passionately "I love you too" he said in a whisper after the kiss ended but he kissed her again deeply
After a few more minutes "Dude! You do know that you guys aren't the only here right?" he said
Nick pulled quickly pulled back after hearing AJ's words "c'mon I’ll walk backstage" he said taking a hold of her hand as they were walking backstage Anna noticed that Eric was there with his digital camera she stick her tongue out at him he laughed and took a picture of her like that she giggled she let go of Nick's hand and ran over to Eric "let me see" she said to him he handed her the camera Anna laughed at the picture of her "hmm I guess its alright" she said "thanks for the camera though" she said and got up and ran off the stage
Nick laughed and shook his head "alright...now stay back here and be good" he said
Anna grinned and nodded
Nick smiled "now give me the camera" he said
Anna tilted her head at him "why?" she asked
Nick smiled "Because I told you to now hand it over" he said
Anna pouted and handed the camera back to Nick
Nick smiled "good girl." he said then kissed her

When he ran back onto the stage and handed Eric his camera back "thanks. But umm i know this isn't the best time but if you break her heart I’ll hurt you" Eric said to Nick
Nick smiled at him "don't worry I won't hurt her I love her too much to do anything that breaks her heart" he said
Eric nodded
Nick ran back to the guys and finished the rest of the concert

The concert was now almost over the guys just introduced their second last song which was I'll Never Break Your Heart
AJ grinned after Brian was done talking to the fans since it was now his turn to speak "now since this is our 2nd last song...yes its sad that this show is coming to an end but its not over yet and that’s why I'd like to invite Anna back here with us" he said with a smile
Anna ran back out mostly cause Taylor was backstage and wouldn't stop tickling her
"wow, that was pretty fast just couldn't wait to get back out here to see Nicky?" he asked
Anna shook her head "no...well yea that too but Taylor's hanging out with me backstage and uh he wouldn't stop tickling me" she answered breathlessly
AJ laughed "really? well good for him!" he said
Anna just looked at him like as if saying 'good for him?! I'm the one who's getting tickled every 5 seconds' which made the guys burst out with laughter
Afterwards Nick smiled at the fans and spoke into the mic "tonight this 2nd last song is a song i'm going to be singing to my girl it's called I Knew I Loved You By Savege Gradren" then turned to Anna took ahold of her hand

Then the music started up and Nick began to sing to her

"Maybe it's intuition But some things you just don't question Like in your eyes I see my future in an instant And there it goes I think I've found my best friend

It was now near the end of the songs and when she heard Nick sing
"....A thousand angels dance around you I am complete now that I've found you....."

She broke down into tears

After he was done he pulled her into a hug he kissed the top of her head and smiled to himself.

Even though she was young and Nick was much older than her. They stayed together and igored the people who judged them. They lived a happy life together. They had a little girl named Aylssa and twin boys named Matthew & Derek.
