That was so great! I'm a sucker for romance, and I've been waiting for Cary and Nick to happen forever. ♥ After all the craziness they've been through, it's nice to have a little fluff.
Also, I just saw your comments on the other reviews, and I can't believe you felt awkward last night after writing this chapter because it's perfect. You pulled it off beautifully!
The bit about praying mantis sex with Paris was hilarious, albeit a little traumitizing to imagine. :D
The many details in this chapter are part of what I love about CC. It's so well- researched and grounded in reality that the larger-than-life storyline is perfectly believable. When I'm reading, I never have to worry about those little moments of "Wait, that's not right" that shock the reader out of the story. ♥
Eeeek, I had a few chapters to catch up on, and then I get to this little bombshell that you've dropped! Of course, it figures I would get all caught up right when the chapter ends with a cliffhanger like that, haha. I can't wait for the next one!
Yay! A fluffy chapter~ I think I would just die if a guy ever took me on a date like that. *sigh*

Okay, so I feel dumb because I saw last night right before I went to bed that CC had been updated, but I didn't realize the update was three chapters long. So I sleepily read chapter 88 and went to bed really confused, thinking "Wow, that's a weird place to end the story."
I'm glad that I woke up this morning and decided to read it again! The ending was beautiful. Chapter 89 was so sad and perfect. I'm glad that Nick could feel them all there with him in prayer in his last dying moment, and I'm glad that Cary finally got her happy ending, even though it wasn't the one that I would have wanted for her.
One question, though--whatever happened to Cary's dad?! We don't hear what happened to him ten years later :P
Anyway, amazing story, amazing journey, amazing ending. Thank you, Julie! I can't wait to hopefully gush to you about how much I love CC in person on the cruise?

How funny! I'm trying to picture Brian using an online dating service, and I can actually see it but the thought just makes me laugh so much xD I'm wondering--if there actually was a woman in red at the diner, then was Nick just screwing with Brian? o.O
