While Nick struggles to deal with what happened on the cruise, Howie’s indiscretions lead to dire consequences.Well, now that I'm up with a newborn at all hours of the night and morning, I've got some time to read and catch up. These past couple chapters were so well-written. Of course, my favorite part is the fact that Nick 's breaking down at the prospect of losing Howie, and that he went to extremes to save his life, regardless of how angry he might be at him .

I love how your medical info is spot-on! There aren't a lot of writers who would pay that much attention to the medical details. Of course, I know that's kind of your specialty. Still, it's refreshing.
Author's Response: Thanks! I always appreciate hearing that, especially from people who are actually in the medical field and know what they're talking about. I do a ton of research to try to make it accurate. It's kind of a fun challenge.

I kind of loved Howie making a scene at the rental car counter. It was so out of character for him, yet so real at the same time. You know he must blow up on some level at least occasionally. I mean, we all do. I also liked how you linked Kevin's observations about Howie's behavior back to his sister's death-- made it that much more believable.
Author's Response: You're exactly right; we all blow up at some point. I figured that the stress of the situation, combined with Howie's desire to keep everything bottled up, would be enough to push him over the edge. The poor rental lady just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Oh, Nick. What was going on with you? Can't wait to find out!
Author's Response: Only Nick knows at this point what he was up to. It looks like he's relapsed, but you'll have to wait and see!!

I LOVE AJ and Brian's actions here! But who the heck is this dead guy who looks like Nick, and how does Nick know nothing about it? As if I weren't already hooked...

Well, I am a terrible reviewer-- in that I've not been giving reviews. I've been reading this in my late-night up feeding a newborn stupor, so I'm kind of useless for giving good feedback at this hour, but I want you to know how much I love this story. It's one of the most original I've ever read. Well done with that, and perhaps I'll eventually get around to some better feedback, if I can keep my eyes open long enough! Haha
Ha! Twins! Awesome. I actually kind of expected that this baby might not be "Ben," but twins is a great twist.
Ok-well maybe I spoke too soon about the twins being a different baby. Anxious to see how this goes.

You ended it well, but it feels like there is so much more to the story! I want more! Guess that's the mark of a good one, though.
Author's Response: Oh I agree there's a lot more to this story! That's why I have sketches for two sequels. :) I try to keep my stories around 50-60 chapters. Besides, the sequels can be read alone for people that might not have wanted to do the whole time travel thing.
There was so much more to this chapter to comment on, but all I really want right now is to hear Kevin sing "Ring of Fire."

Author's Response: Writing Kevin has been a relatively new thing for me -- I wrote one about a year or so ago now about him and Nick called "Down Home". I'm usually a Frick & Frack writer haha...
