Kissed by an Angel discussion thread
« on: July 01, 2009, 07:10:32 PM »

It's officially July, so I'm starting this thread for when we're ready to start reading and discussing.  Has anyone gotten a copy of the book yet, or at least ordered it?

I've already gotten my copy. It just came in the mail today, and I'm already on chapter three. So far, it seems pretty good, but I am slightly confused about the beginning. I guess I'll just have to wait until more people have read it to find out.

Oh awesome!  The beginning is basically a preview of a later chapter, and then it goes back and leads up to that moment, if that helps.

SPOILER FOR FIRST CHAPTER:

That's not what I was confused about. The summary says his killer is after Ivy, but the beginning seems like it's an accident. Unless someone tampered with his brakes.

Heh, I can't say anything without spoiling more, but keep on reading... it will make sense!  It's kind of a mystery, so you're supposed to be kept wondering.

Has anyone else gotten the book yet?

I guess the first discussion topic while we're getting into the book at different times should be the characters.  What do you think of the various characters so far?

You might just want to order it... I doubt you'll find it in a bookstore, unless your bookstores are a lot better than the ones around here about carrying anything older than a few months old. :P  I've given up on all bookstores because they never have the books I want, unless it's a brand new book.

D'oh, I almost bought this book today. I had it in my hands and then put it back. I didn't realize it was this months book. I'll go back and get it.

LOL really?  Too funny.  Yeah, you should get it; I think you'd like it.  It's technically a young adult book, and I know you've been reading a lot of those lately for your own writing.  It has some similarities to Twilight.

ok, so I did go back and get that book and you were right. I am loving it. It caters almost perfectly to my taste. Its the teen fiction genre, with tons of romance, a supernatural twist, and a great suspense plot. Seriously. I can't put it down.
