Mare's March Challenge: This is Howie Do It!
« on: February 28, 2011, 08:18:16 PM »

I promised I would give Howie his own challenge last month but I forgot so he was all  :'( about it. But this is the month that really counts because it's the 50th featured story month! How does one play into the other? I shall tell you right now.  ;)

Howie is in his hotel room and very bored. He decides to surf the internet and comes across fanfiction. He stays up all night consumed by reading a story and is so excited, horrified, stupified, etc...) he has to share it with the others.

That is your basic plot.

~ This story has to be written in first person told from Howie's POV.
~ At least one of the other guys has to be in it
~ The story he is talking about has to be one of the 50 stories we have featured. (To find the list go to the fetaured story board and click on the featured story thread.)
~ It cannot be your own story.
~ It can be any genre depending on the story you pick and his reaction to it.
~ No banners!
~ This should be a one shot only. (NO making it a novel lol)
~ Howie is not allowed to wink at all in this story. He also can't be referred to as the latino one or a really good business manager.

Once you are done, post your link in this thread!

Have fun with this!  :D

LMAO I love this challenge! Yay Howie!

(And 50 featured stories? That's impressive! But I'm not going to derail this topic on the first reply lmao)

Okay I am off to write. Now to pick one of the featured stories...

Interesting!  I like the fanfic storyline.  The real challenge is writing Howie without having him wink!

Thanks :) I was originally going to finish my next chapter of Running Up That Hill but this looked way too fun to pass up!

Can we exploit the typical fan fiction traits we put in Howie by using those traits on the other guys? (i.e., having Brian wink a lot and Howie notices?)
