I knew putting just the questions in a post would be helpful for people!

3. What's most motivating for you? How do you keep the motivation going? What do you do when the motivation wanes (any particular rituals)? What does your inspiration station look like? (e.g., desk, location in your home, not your home at all, etcetera)

My desk is my happy place. It's surrounded by VIP pics, pics with friends, a pinboard with random BSB things, and signed posters. When inspiration wanes I try not to force it because by forcing it I get more frustrated.

I like that all of us have a desk-based happy place. Though Julie wins with her inspiration room.

I enjoyed all your answers!

People think it would be fun to be a bird because you could fly. But they forget the negative side, which is the preening.

2010, the summer of sadness!

My summer 2010 was pretty sad too, but for different reasons than fanfic. Maybe it was vibe going around?

2010, the summer of sadness!  That was one of my favorite fanfic summers ever, when we were all writing super angsty dramas.

You know, I used to write romance a lot as a subplot, but I think my romance days may be over.   The last real romance I wrote was my slash LOL.  It's harder now that all the boys are married.  I'm more into the platonic bromance these days.

That really was a great summer LOL. So much angst.

Totally get that. You basically have to kill off a wife which I'm not opposed to but still.

I have seen her Room of Random Things and it's so glorious lmao. I like to try and add to it when I can.

Yeah, and killing off wives is not as fun as killing off Backstreet Boys.

Or never write anything set in the present. Or you know, divorce exists?

Like it always goes to killing, but divorce?

Yeah, and killing off wives is not as fun as killing off Backstreet Boys.

Only murder what you love, obviously.

That's true. You know, this is going to seem wrong but if written right I'd find a Brian fic believable where he left Leighanne given...this year.

Yep, we've both added to each other's!  Actually I've probably given you more stuff for your zombie bathroom than your inspiration station.  What year did I make you the Drums doll?  Has Dee seen that?

LOL Now there's a romance I could get behind.  I've had a story idea for several years that starts with Brian waking up to find her brutally murdered... and that was conceived before I knew about all her bullshit on Facebook.

Obviously!  Yeah, I guess break-ups and divorces work too.  Or writing in the past or AU.  There are definitely ways around it.

Funny enough EVERY time I take photos of my desk I get a question about that lmao. He's always there, watching me. Luckily Ninja Nick is there to keep him in check. The brain candle lives on my desk too LOL.

LOL Thanks!  It would be sort of a supernatural horror story.  It may be a contender for my next solo project if I don't come up with anything better.

I saw someone ask about him on Twitter the other day!  I was happy to see him so prominently displayed after all these years LOL.

Speaking of Drums and MJ, I have my music on shuffle, and a TaTu song just came on, which always makes me think of Ice Ice Baby.  The best part is it's an mp3 I probably downloaded from Limewire back in the day, and it has the AIM door opening and door closing sound effects in it at one point.  I always forget until it comes up and I do a double take, and then I remember and laugh.  Oh AIM and Yahoo Messenger, how I miss you.
