November challenge
« on: October 31, 2007, 09:18:37 PM »

Tis me again!

Well I hope more people particiapte in this one because last month's was a very poor showing with a lot of "Yay i'm SO going to write this month!" and then a whole lot of "Nothng!" lmao  ::)  ;)  :-*

This month I picked one of my absolute favorite recent pictures in honor of the new BSB CD.

First here is the picture:

And these are the rules (stares at Nijntje <-- which I probably spelled horribly wrong! lol sorry)

~ Story must not exceed 2,500 words

~ Story must be told in first person

~ This story must contain at least 3 of the pet peeves mentioned in the pet peeve thread (Yes that's why I started it hehe)

~ It cannot be told from Nick's POV.

Have fun and good luck!

We're calling this the pet peeve challenge! lol

So I know it's not even November on the West Coast yet, but I was so inspired by Unbreakable, that I wrote a story to fit the challenge. It follows all the rules, and a lot of the pet peeves are subtle, but the funnier ones you'll definitely be able to spot!

Mare, did you really have to do that?! :( I followed all the rules last month!!! ;)

*hands Mare a cookie for spelling 'Nijntje' right*

Okay, like honey, no promises here. And I too want bonuspoints for participating in last month's challenge!

Now for a stupid question, first person is like: "I walked out the door and saw Nick standing there, staring out of the window." Right ?

Btw, good idea for a challenge.  I love the pet peeve thing especially.  I'm not even gonna lie and say I'll try to write something because I have no time and the time I will have will be spent on BMS or CB, LOL, but I do think it's a great idea!

Aww, Mare. I'm glad you liked the story. Half of the stuff I put in was purely for your benefit LOL Glad it worked! It was a LOT of fun writing it, too. The end was completely spur of the moment and cracks me up, too...

As long as I can get off my arse and finish the next H&H chapter I'll totally partake in this. I haven't done a challenge in YEARS.

And Nijntje is required to live up to her namesake of Rule Breaker, so don't pester her :P

LMAO! I totally have her and Julia Roberts tied for most annoying oscar speeches ever.  (not that yours was annoying. Yours was actually quite perfect.)
