I know a lot of you are excited about that cringe challenge but I am MORE excited about this one lol So, I hope you guys go ahead and try it.

Since Why blah blah is the story this month...
~ You have to write in at least three of the five guys points of view
~ First person only
~ Try to write this one in less than 2,000 words
~ Two of the boys need to have some kind of conversation about why they are on that bed together.

lol it's soooo close. Just one little scene in the middle to plunk out. but now I can't get to it till late tonight, but I am going to try to finish it before I go to bed... we'll see. my writing has been so... blah... sub par... unmotivated... (lots of other negative words I can't think of at the moment) lately.

Okay, so I'm almost done with the challenge... the thing is, I think it might be a little over 2,000 words. But it says to try to write it in less than 2,000 words, it didn't say you have to write it less than 2,000 words... so, does that still count in breaking the rule?! Lol.

Well, it sort of worked! It got me a bit out of my writing funk, now to go try and finish the next chapter of L/L..

lol that's what Mercy was all about. But it was kind of like he lived on in that one cause they were doing it all for him and he still managed to pull them all back together even in death. THat killing was really much sweeter than the other two... I SWEAR!

I originally didn't have thge 3 POVs down for the challenge but then I ffigured every month i've tried to tie in the story of the month with the challenge and that was the best way to do it. I know it's a bitch to write in all five POVs since that's my story lol so I figured i'd be nice and do three. :)

And the POV changes is the funnest part. funnest? is that even a word? Anyhoo. Well, it took a me a little while and I finally finished my story for the challange. I've read most of the ones ya'll have posted and I admit I had some challanges in coming up with ideas that hadn't already been viewed. I hope this works, I wound up taking a new twist to the challange and added three pictures that I based my story on. I made it like Kevin was putting together a scrapbook and I still managed to use three guy's perspectives on how they got into the bed. LOL! So, I hope this works!

While your challenge story was a good effort, I think it would've been more of a challenge for you if you'd tried to follow the actual rules. I'm not saying your story sucked, just that it is really a lot more fun to write a story by trying to follow Mare's original rules, rather than making up your own. You know, if you really wanted to make up your challenge, you're more than welcome to do that as well in a separate thread. :)

No, I agree with you on that one. I think it would've been easier for me to stick to the rules a little more had I done the challange earlier. I was having trouble not repeating ideas that others had already written. The pictures acutally came later after I'd written the story. I was writing what was coming to my mind, which were actual pictures I remember seeing. I guess I was just trying to get into the guy's head maybe a little too much. In any case, I'm going to be more careful to what I write in the challanges. This was definitely a concern I had when writing it.

It's not hard to be original without taking other people's ideas, you just need to think outside the box a little more.

I agree with Dee. I've written plenty of the challenge stories at the end of the month, and I really think if you put some effort into it, it's not hard to come up with something different. Writing stories is all about creativity and thinking outside the box, and I think most of us have done pretty well with that while following the rules. It's not hard.
