Very well written, Emily. I'm sorry you've been so affected by this disease. This is about the only disease that my family hasn't been affected by so the only thing I really know about it is the info I used to get from watching the telethon.

Thanks, Mare!  I just got a little choked thinking about it last night, and this was my catharsis, I guess.  I did tweet it at them, but I doubt they'll ever see it.  Still, it's gotten 179 views in the past 7 hours, so that's good in itself.

That was a great blog, Emily.  Sad, but as Mare said, very well-written and touching.  I had a student in my very first class with Duchenne MD, and it was very hard to watch his motor skills decline just in the year that I had him.  He started out the school year walking, and by the end of the year, he has in a wheelchair.  It's a horrible disease.   This is definitely a cause worth supporting, so I'm glad the Boys are involved in it this year!

That was great, I bet there were some scary looking people at the Slipknot concert! I saw plenty of weirdos when I took Josh to see 30 Seconds To Mars a couple of years ago, he was terrified and we had to stand at the back away from everyone.
