Nick seems to have feelings for Shay on some level. Even if they don't end up together, I think those feelings will exist. He has a good thing with Lauren. Nick really needs to think about what he wants in his future.
Aunt Francie is annoying. I see why Jake gave her those looks.
I hope things work out for Shay and she can finally be happy.

Ughh. I was hoping this would be different! Please don't make this another typical "Nick gets back with a one-nighter & finds truuuu luvvvs" story. Sorry, but those are a dime a dozen in the Nick fanfic world.
Author's Response: You've said it all along. Ultimately I hold the pen. I think I've done a fairly decent job of setting up a confusing relationship structure. Besides it's hard not to have feelings for the mother/father of your child. Especially when there's such a lack of closure. With that said, stay tuned.

Oh my...I figured something would happen between Shay and Nick. Kids had the damnedest (not sure if it's a word, but who cares) timing. Oh, boy....what will happen next? I really like them together.
I love your reference to if you give a mouse...though I may never look at it the same way again. Kind of glad I only read if you give a moose in school...hee hee

I dunno. I really like Lauren in this story. I kinda don't want them to break up..and they ARE engaged! But then again, it'd be great for Jake if his parents fell in love and got together. Ugh...I'm so happy YOU are the one making that decision and not Me!!!!
