Awesome chapter, again :). Thanks for updating this story so quickly. I am glad its nothing too serious (I mean as in lifethreatening or something like that...you know what I mean, right?).
That is alot to digest for Shay... I am glad Nick is there right know to help her a bit (not that it helps much to get told that the father of her son is getting married) but still ... I even think that Nick and Lauren can help Shay to establish a healthier lifestyle foodwise... anyways great chapter!

I looked at Jake in surprise. "He did? How?"
---And the TROUBLE IS... this is UNDONE! Jesus... Carter can feel the pain that HE made others pass now... GOOD! But poor Shay, he deserves some GREAT news...
"Did he dump you?" I asked. She shook her head 'no.'
That surprised me; I was sure that was the reason for her distress. In fact, I had no other explanation.''

My newfound protectiveness of Jake was transferring over to anyone close to me.

Aww Nick was so sweet with shay,I love how protective he is and who knew the roles would be reversed,you don't read that everyday.lol This is getting good and I like Lauren and Nick together but I want shay to be happy too. I would want nick and shay to be together because of giving Jake a real family. I wonder what will happen next,looking forward to reading more.
