Shit. I glanced all around as if looking for somebody to help me. Jake's hands pressed against my shoulders and he leaned into my face. I always wondered what my eyes looked like; now I knew.

Author's Response: haha the Cheerio trick is great for boys--it teaches them to aim for the Cheerios rather than the floor, wall....boys are messy. :)

I understand that she is scared, she has been Jake's everything since he was born. They def. need to talk about things.. And Jake sounds like the cutest kid.. Any kid with a touch of Nick-ism can't be anything but adorable.. :)
