This was a good chapter. I liked this one alot. Just when you thought she was making progress she withdraws back into herself and then when you thought she was going a certain way, bam she opens up! There were a few twist & turns in this one so it kept me on my toes!
I am so glad that Adie went to her dad and had a talk with him,instead of shutting down and not talking to anyone. I loved how Nick found her, they really needed to have that conversation because he needed to tell her his fears as well as she needed to tell him about the dreams. In all honesty I would be scared to leave too, if I had come home to just a note.
I'm interested to see how things are going to go while he's gone for a month. I just hope she doesn't go into labor! I like the new banner you have, but if I may ask, why did you change it? Correct me if I'm wrong but is that Nick & Lauren in the middle of the banner? I must say I really don't like Lauren, I know this is going to sound mean but she just isn't pretty enough. She always seems to not care what she looks like no matter where she is at, let it be going out to a club or going to the store; she looks very grungy. But if he's happy I guess that's all that matters.

I changed the banner because I was getting a bit bored with the old one. Yep you are right it is Lauren in the middle but I kind of think what you said about her was uncalled for. So she doesn't always have make up on, so she dressed down? Do you always where your heels and full makeup? I know I don't and kudos to her for not carign what the media think. After all its what's on the inside that counts and she obviosuly has something that Nick likes. I do like how much she resembles the girl on my old banner though! LOL!
Originally she was going to withdraw completely but it just felt like de ja vu and I thought you guys would get sick of her again. She is just as scared as Nick is but for different reasons. It is definetly going to be interesting while he is away that is for sure!

Great chapter...I loved the painting scene...and how you conveyed how much even that him saying as little as he did about his parents' divorce and its impact on him. I really liked the end scene too, that Adie is finally seeing that just because Nick doesn't express his commitment to her with an engagement doesn't mean he isn't committed, I think he may actually change in that department. I still am ready for the whole mistrust of Adie to come blazing, she has betrayed his trust in a big way and it is just sitting there, ready to blow. Great update...more soon!

I think Adie has finally realised that being married is not the be all and end all, in actual fact it's all materialistic because a ring and piece of paper doesn't mean Nick loves her anymore. The thing that is getting to her the most is that fact that he hasn't given her back the ring that signified his heart and in her mind it signals that he doesn't trust her. There is going to be a scene in a few chapters about that!

That was a quick update! I liked it!
I'm really happy that the two of them are making progress. Adie is more so making the attempt but Nick is slowly getting there. I know he has demons in his closet but one thing his character needs to realize is that in order to fully love someone you have to accept them no matter what and he doesn't see that Adie has accepted him. He still thinks that he isn't good enough, then again he probably is still scared, scared that she might leave him again.
I liked how you started to show some of nick's side in this chapter. I can't wait to see what else is going to happen with him. Its about time he got his part,lol.
I like how you added the scene where they went to pick the paint color, that was cute. Nick not allowing pink is a typical man, I'm glad that he chose purple...hanging out with Howie all those years paid off!
You're doing really well with updating on a regular basis now, I'm loving it! I hope that you have the time to continue to do that. Good luck and hurry back with the next update!

I think Nick still is really scared that she is going to leave him again and he told her that a few chapters ago. He finds it difficult to trust and open up and as you saw in this chapter he doesn't believe Adie can understand where he is coming from because in his eyes he thinks her childhood was great. It was important for her to set him straight and I think finally he might start to understand that no one's life is easy.

Okay this week I am leaving a short review because I am really really sick.
This was a good update. This chapter was well detailed and I love how you decided to write a chapter about them taking a baby home. They definately needed the experience. I hope that Adie doesn't hold all those dreams in because its just going to eat away at her and by her holding all that in she is taking steps back instead of forward.

It was important to show them both with a newborn because it made Nick more confident and it also made Adie realsie what a huge mistake she could have possibly made. That is going to play a bigger part later. Also there definetly needed to be more aww factor in this story because it has been a bit of a downer so far and there is more down stuff to come as well!

Great update...I loved the beginning of this chapter and the way you wrote Nick observing. I also thought it was endearing how cautious he was with Max but how he did everything just right. Adie has some major insecurities that are definitely going to cause issues...and I think Nick's natural ability is going to make her even more insecure. I so can not wait for more, good job...and quick on the update, such a pleasant surprise!
