wow he gave her the money!!! what a shock! I would have given it to someone else, someone more deserving, or given it all away since he doesn't have a lot of deserving family. His dad's gift what a punch in the gut!
I wonder what's up with Aaron, will he die before his brother after all?
Author's Response: LOL stay conscious! Yeah, Nick decided since it doesn't matter anymore, he'd give his mother what she finally wanted. Nick's always the bigger man when it comes to her. As for his dad...well he earned that.

The will Nick wrote is just... hot damn, fucking emotional!! :'( Ugh, I will not cry, I will not cry, I will not cry... lol. And Jane, you should fucking be ashamed of yourself! >:(
But ooooh my... Howie running up towards them, phone in hand and his eyes stormy and concerned?! Does not sound good. What happened to Aaron?!? *runs off to next chapter*
Author's Response: LMAO. Awww Nick got harder and harder to write as this went on. If it helps, I made myself cry at various points in the story. I loved the horse scene. The will, that was beyond hard. I'm glad it came off emotional rather than over the top :)

Oh god Rose, the reading of the will brought a huge lump to my throat! When he read out that Brian was to be his guardian, that's what did it. I think his mum is such a money grabbing bitch and she doesn't deserve a penny, if she had any decency she'd say something about it, but she hasn't :(

Author's Response: Awwwww! I knew from the beginning Brian would be his guardian and Kevin would be the executor of the estate, I couldn't see it any other way. Brian and Nick just have that bond. OMG, this chapter was so sad :( I loved how Nick will give what he has to everyone. And with his mother? I think it was kinda unffair that she got it all because what she do to him, but maybe she'll change. What happened to Aaron? I'm dying to know! I love this story, update soon!!

Wow, that was a powerful chapter, Rose. I think you did an excellent job with it, and I could feel the aura in the room as the will was read. Everything Nick left to everyone seemed very fitting. I liked that the things he left the guys were more important than money. The gifts he left for his siblings were all perfect as well. I liked the fact that he left Leslie Kaotic and the condition that Aaron would recieve a record deal if he was able to stay sober. The things he left to his parents - brutle. Leaving his Dad the photo albums was harsh, but leaving his mother all his money and not allowing her to collect it until he's dead? Ouch. The last scene with the two of them was chilling. I wish Jane could just accept and love Nick as her son, and obviously he does too. And cliffy! I'm interested to know what's up with Aaron now! Great work on this chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you! I struggled with it a little just cause I was nervous about it lol. A lot of thought went into that will. The Boys don't need or want money, and money isn't all that important anyway, so I feel like Nick would leave them other things. His siblings, that took a ton of debating lol. BJ was probably the hardest. I feel his two musical siblings should get the label/deal since he understands their passion for it. I was pretty mean to his parents but honestly, they deserved it LOL. Nick would hand over all the money in the world if it meant his parents would really love and accept him. :(. Thank you so much! I'm thrilled seeing how much everyone liked it!

Excellent job with this chap, Rose. Loved the beginning with Nick and Kevin on the horses. That was cute.
The will reading was so sad but it made sense for him to take care of this now. I loved the things he left for each person. I thought it was really sweet and thoughtful the way he explained himself. Loved the bit about AJ living in the country and the peace that comes along with it. I'm glad that he's giving Aaron a second chance but I'm dying to know what happened...what a cliffie! And I'm mad that Jane got anything but I also know that Nick is better than that. It was realistic for him to leave her what he did. Hope you update soon!

I'm glad you enjoyed the reading, I really had to think out what Nick would do and why he would do it. As for Aaron, I'd like to think Nick would fight to help him as long as he could, even if it's become obvious Aaron may be beyond reach the way Leslie thinks he is in this. First of all, I loved the scene with Kevin and Nick on horses. Um *drooling* lol I could completely picture that and when he loses control and lands in the mud as well lol Also great insight about him doing what everyone else wants instead of what he wants. "Nick, you told me you wanted to help me move, remember?" lol
It's sad he chose to have his will read while he was still alive. But again, I could see why he would need that done. His family would fight over his money, which is so sad. Liked the little FU's to them along the way though.

With the will, I debated a lot about how to go with it, but with his family, having it done now seemed to be the smartest route. Something I wouldn't put past Nick. I'm happy you liked the FUs to his parents lmao. I thought some would appreciate that. So thank you! As for their Lawyer - Jordan Keller is their lawyer still, and looks nothing like how I described "Jonathan" lol so I changed the name up. And I agree, he is haha.

This chapter was beautiful in a way, if that makes any sense. What Nick had to say in his will was personal, emotional, and heart-felt, regardless of his reasons for writing what he did for each person. I think I'm going to read it again, it's quite profound I think. I really loved it. Please don't leave us hanging for too long!

Woot, I'm gonna be your 300th review! It's starting to look like a triple rainbow! A zombie triple rainbow, that is. I loved this chapter; there was some nice comic relief in Nick going horseback riding with Kevin, but the rest was pretty sad, yet poignant. I loved the reading of the will. I loved what he said to each of the guys and his siblings, the thoughtful choices he made as far as what to leave each of them. I love that he offered Aaron a second chance, yet basically said a big F you to his parents (even though he left Jane his money). I wonder what Aaron will have to say on the phone. Amazing chapter, DR!!!

Thanks, I knew this chapter was going to be heavy so I thought maybe tossing in a light scene my ease the blow a bit so to speak lol. I really had to think out the will and what Nick would do in that position. I think at this point, Nick forgives them (or else he wouldn't have given Jane the money) but he's letting them know he won't forget until the disease makes him. Thank you my ZDR!
