Gah, cliffhanger!!! I loved this chapter! You're not bringing back good memories, mentioning Bean and the Paris rumors and House of Carters, but you're doing an awesome job of showing what a mess Nick's life was back then. I loved the radio interview and phone call with Aaron, little douchebag that he is. It was sad to see the guys bickering with each other, but I know they just want what's best for Nick, and they're right. The car accident at the end was scary; I hope Nick will be alright. I wonder if he was high, being all giggly like that before it happened. If he was, he's gonna be a shitload more trouble when he wakes up. Hopefully this will be the wake-up call he needs, and maybe that's why the "young woman" sort of caused the accident. Loving this story so far, ZDR!!!
Author's Response: Yay! And I know, I'm googling a lot of stuff from that time, and none of it is that great. Nick was such a mess back then, even I forgot just how bad it was. I actually got the idea with Aaron, from a real interview he did after the whole Paris incident. Sadly he's that big of a douche! As for being high...yep, decision making isn't Nick's forte right now. Thanks my fabulous partner in crime...SPP!

Man Nick pre-Unbreakable was a fracking mess. (no pun intended) I like seeing it from the angel's POV too...I'm guessing Grace is an angel? Well she certainly has her plate full! Great job so far!

I'm loving this story so far! You're taking me back to that post-Paris/House of Carters, pre-Unbreakable era and reminding me how much better it is to be a BSB fan now! I'm used to writing happy-ish Nick, so it's harder to go back into screwed up Nick. Thank you. :) And yes, Grace is an ancestor of Nick's, who's better to deal with Nick than another Carter? LOL.
