Oh.my.God. This chapter was incredible. So sad...heartbreaking. You did an amazing job conveying Brian's fears.

Author's Response: I figured with everything that was going on, delving directly into how Brian was feeling would certainly do the story justice. I think it was a very vital move and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the review hon! [Ashley]

How sad...I hope that Brian can stop pushing everyone away and start to accept their love and support. I'm sure it's hard with what happened before, but like Kevin said, they're not gonna make the same mistake again!!

The scene with Baylee and his nightmare was very sad..I'm sure this must be hard and confusing for him.

Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback Sel! [Ashley]

Oh my gosh...you're gonna have me crying by the end of this. I know this already! Picturing Brian talking to his mom like a child is heart wrenching!

Author's Response:

I would assume that Brian's situation would make him extremely vulnerable and I was hoping to express that. I know I would be scared shitless. Thanks for the review hun! :) [Ashley]

You do such a great job capturing the guys' grief...especially Kevin.

Author's Response: It's a bit difficult without making it sound redundant, but I think capturing everyone's emotions is a very important aspect of the story. Brian may be the main one who is affected by this, but everyone else is also effected in some way. Thanks for the review! [Ashley]

OMG! What an opening! I love it so far...can't wait to see what's going to happen.

Author's Response: Why thank you Sel! So glad to hear what you think. I figured it was just enough action for the first chapter. Glad you are enjoying what you have read so far! Can't wait to see what else you have to say! Thanks for the review! :) [Ashley]

Leave it up to AJ to be the sarcastic one, lol. And I seriously didn't think Brian was gonna mentioning anything about his condition worsening, but I was wrong. Well... he didn't really mention it, he more just blurted it out in the heat of the moment. And of course, knowing AJ, he's gonna go back to the guys and tell them what he found out... or maybe I'm wrong. It's really sad witnessing everyone falling apart at the seams, but I hope a miracle happens and things turn for the better. I'm really glad that I started reading this story... even though it's got me hella emotional, it's extremely good and your writing style is superb. I've said this to you before, but I'll say it again, with the way you use your words, it's in such a descriptive manner, which makes the story so much more vivid and realistic, and your words aren't repetitve, which is really good. Personally, I tend to lose interest in a story rather quickly if the story revolves solely around just one guy, and the others make quick and small cameos... I'm all about group stories. But your story drew me in and captivated me from beginning to end, bringing me into this world of words, causing memories to resurface, causing my senses to come alive, all by simply reading words, it's quite amazing actually. Lol. All I can say is great job on this story thus far, and I seriously can't wait to read more from you. =]

Author's Response: You think it's got you emotional just reading it? Try writing it. LoL. All I've got to say is that the story is going to be emotional major until it's finished. I actually wrote the epilogue back in January because the idea for it sparked in my mind and I figured it would be better to get it written down before I forgot the idea and then I would have nothing when it came time to write it. Although don't even try asking because I am not going to tell you what happens in the epilogue. LoL. Many readers have tried asking what's going to happen throughout the rest of the story and I don't want to say because I think that just totally eliminates the whole purpose of reading it and finding out as you go along. But yeah. Thanks again for all the reviews you've left. Who knows, maybe I will have some inspiration to help me crank out another chapter soon! Hopefully... [Ashley]

Man... more bad news for the poor guy? =[ I have a feeling he won't tell anyone what had happened at his appointment, and the rest of them won't realize the severity of Brian's situation until something drastic happens or something. Glad Nick's taking him out though to make him realize that he's not going at this alone... hopefully it'll open his eyes.

Author's Response: "Hopefully" is the hopeful word here, but past examples have kinda pointed to Brian being rather stubborn and as much good as Nick's outting with him should be, he's still got too much on his plate. Thanks for the review! *major squee to my PR for all of the wonderful reviews she has given me so far!* [Ashley]

Uh oh... just when things start to slightly look up, a curve is thrown. By the sounds of it, seems like Baylee is slowly catching on to what could possibly happen to his father, which is really sad. =[

Author's Response: Baylee knows something is going on because Brian's not acting the way he used to. Baylee just doesn't know what it is and he wouldn't be able to understand it anyway. It is sad though, and trust that I do feel like major monkey poo for putting kid through all this heart ache. [Ashley]

Okay, I just have to say this... I completely LMFAO when I read AJ called Nick a "midget monkey fucker". I've always pictured Nick to quirk in with the response "So, how about them buccaneers" or something like that, lol. And what's with Nick wanting to know or insisting that someone got laid?! Lol. I love how Brian brings up Catalina in front of the guys again, and it would be AJ to add fuel to the fire, lmao. But all joking and laughing aside... I frowned with the way the record company simply cares about pushing the album out and figuring out what to do after "considering the situation", and I'm the sure the guys' didn't mean to pass it off like nothing, like Brian didn't matter, but that was a bit harsh. Glad though they found a way to keep Brian apart of the album being released and the tour by creating a short promo tour to better work around him.

Author's Response: "Midget monkey fucker" is a bit of an inside joke between me and my boyfriend Brian and well I've always pictured AJ to share my sense of humor so I thought it would be a nice little addition to the chapter. LoL. And why Nick wants to know or is so insistant that someone got laid has a rather simple answer: he's a guy! LoL, it seems the general male population find enjoyment by bringing that kinda stuff up. I don't understand it completely, but oh well. Sometimes I wonder if record companies are just minions of the Devil. They care about one thing and one thing only: money. Since the guys are still under a contract and the record company thinks there is any chance they might be able to make money with a promotional gig, then certainly they are going to push for it. They're just a bunch of poop heads. [Ashley]

How ironic, I'm reading this story and listening to my radio at the same time, and low and behold, "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely" comes on... of all songs!! Lol. I frowned at the beginning part of them two fighting in the car, but glad that everything turned out okay for them in the end, it was good to read them joking around with each other once again. Nicky boy... why the hell are you interested in someone else's sex life, better yet, why are you interested in your best friend's sex life?! Lol. I liked the little scene of Nick screaming obscenities over the football game, how typical and very realistic. And man... when Brian wasn't feeling well that moment and decided to stalk off to the bathroom, I wish Nick followed him.

Author's Response: Secret revealed: This chapter was partly based on the first football game I ever went to (Seahawks[my home team] vs. Chiefs [:P]). We had amazing seats so that's where that part came from. Ok, so that's pretty much all the real life truth there was in that chap, but it made it easier to write it since I had the visual of the surroundings in my head. I think the outting did Brian and Nick some good, even though they never got to finish the game because the outting kinda ended on a bad note with Brian getting sick. As always thanks for the review! It's good to know that Leighanne and Brian were able to make love. And I can understand how Brian feels with the other fellas treating him like a charity case, but if only he would stop pushing them away from him...

Author's Response: A little lovin' can do the body good huh? LoL. [Ashley]

Wow... this chapter was really heartwrenching. I can't imagine a person living with the pain and suffering Brian is going through; it's seriously making me wince reading the pain and suffering Brian is enduring. It's not too late for him to go to the cardiac center... I hope he does something to change all of this, it's not too late.

Author's Response: Brian sees it in a completely different way, that all hope has already been lost. Not that I blame him for wanting to stay with his family for whatever little bit of time he has left. That would be really important to me if I was in that kinda situation. [Ashley]

Okay, I completely loved the humor you conveyed in the beginning of this chapter, it really helpes to ease the tension and stress that's been occurring thus far. I was giggling all the while in the beginning, and completely LOL when Kevin threatened Nick over doughnuts, lmao. I really was expecting the ending of this chapter though. At first I thought the guys didn't want Brian to record anymore because his ailment was affecting his vocals or whatever, but was glad when I realized that they were just concerned about his wellbeing. I kind of feel bad for Brian though, because they shouldn't isolate him from everything when he's just trying to live the rest of his life, or what's left of it, to the fullest, but he can't blame them for being concerned and just watching out for him. I wasn't really expecting the outburst between them as well, because I had a feeling that it would worsen Brian's condition, but I was hoping that Nick would touch up on the fact that Brian should admit himself into the cardiac center. I can't imagine how Brian must feel at that moment, feeling as if everyone is out to get you, feeling as if everyone is against you, feeling all alone and misunderstood. Gosh, I really hope things take a turn for the better.

Author's Response: It was really a scene that needed to happen. Not that I know how much good it did for the situation, but it still needed to happen. They're fighting against each other without even realizing it. Brian is fighting against the fellas are trying to do for him because he wants to live out whatever time he has left doing what he loves to do. The fellas are fighting against Brian doing this because they are afraid it will only affect his heart more and they want him to live out the time he has left and not speed up the process. They're pretty much acting the same way. [Ashley]
