OMG!! AJ has a kid and he doesn't even know it, now that is a dark secret. Poor Lauren seems very troubled with her situation. As for Nastasia, sounds like she's had a lot of troubles in her life.

Ha...ha...Howie had me laughing in this chapter, he's such a dork. I'm glad that he finally snapped out of it and asked her out, in an odd way, but he did it. Then AJ, well um...he's just being a fool, no surprise. I'm really liking this and I'm off to the next chapter.
Author's Response: Howie for the most part is a very loveable character and fun to write. We think Howie's hesitance is adorable when it comes to Nastasia. He's so afraid that she's going to deny him and that she doesn't harbor the same feelings for him as he does for, but was is so funny is the fact that Nastasia is afraid Howie doesn't feel for her like she feels for him. They're too much alike in that aspect. Thanks for the review Erika! :)

Okay, so I have just read the first 12 chapters of this story and I am really addicted! Talk about full of drama!
I feel sympathy for everyone....except Lauren. I actually can't stand her. She kept Chase from AJ because AJ thought she cheated, but she really didn't.....and she was somehow convinced that it was a good idea to be a selfish bitch and keep him from knowing his son....That is SO low. And now she continues to make Nastasia feel guilty over ever decision she makes and somehow get Stazzie to feel guilty over the decision Lauren makes too. I don't like her at all.
AJ, as badly as he has acted since he found out the truth, his reactions are somewhat understandable. Although he handled himself the wrong way and has taken it to far, I still understand his pain....and it looks as though he is coming around to the fact that he has been to harsh on Stazzie....I do hope he decides to do right by Chase though.
Howie....I am a little dissappointed in him at times, because he seems to shut down at all the wrong times, but I know his heart is in the right place.
And lastly poor Stazzie, being pulled in every direction and taking on the pain of everyone around her. I think I would have already lost it and went psycho on everyone involved. Instead she just constantly apoligizes like everything is her fault.....she needs to stand up for herself.....
I hope you update regularly because I am really interested in seeing how this plays out.

Well holy hot damn, what a long ass review! We totally heart your wonderful feedback and your analyzation about how you feel towards each character. We think it's a mutal feeling for everyone when it comes to Lauren and the choices she has made. Although we don't agree with the path she chosen to take in order to handle the situation (and keep in mind that we are the authors), we still feel for her. We imagine it would be rather difficult to be in her position, considering the abrupt ending of her relationship with AJ and the years of bitterness that followed. However, it's completely wrong of her to have kept AJ from his son and to continually make Nastasia feel guilty just so Lauren herself can benefit, feel better, and try to justify her actions (which in all reality, it's always the opposite). With the given events that are about to take place, we think we can safely say that there will be a different more likeable side of Lauren to be seen and hopefully she will be able to win over a few fans of her own.
We're up and down with AJ. While we want to sympathize with him because of his pain and the fact that Lauren did him an injustice for three years, the way he reacted was completely unacceptable. We say this more so when it comes to his reaction towards Nastasia. AJ has every right to feel hurt, but he used Nastasia as a way to vent that pain and frustration. So we agree with you on that.
We like the way you put it about Howie, how he seems to shut down at all the wrong times. This is a very good way to describe what he does and it's true. He finally starts to recognize and act upon his attraction towards Nastasia and he has all of the best of intentions when it comes to her, but with everything that has unfolded, it took him off guard. So he naturally took a few steps back, whether it was right or not. Good analyzation.
Nastasia wants to be everybody's friend and she wants to see everyone be friends. Her biggest fault is biting off more than she can swallow. She has a hard time accepting the fact that she can't right everyone else's wrong, yet she still tries her damndest, and attempts (with usual failure) to fix everyone's problems, and when everything falls apart around her, she finds it absolutely necessary to take the utmost blame, even when she's furthest from fault. It's a definite character default and will be touched on later in the series.

Wow... Lot's of drama going on here. Very complicated situation going on here. I do feel bad for Nastacia being stuck in the middle of Lauren and AJ. That's gotta suck. If it weren't for Chase I'd be like scew the both of them. AJ is REALLY being an asshole though. I understand he's in shock, but to take it to that level isn't acceptable at all.

I suppose he'll eventually change, but I think with all the drama he suddenly finds himself in the middle, I can't say that I blame him for the way he feels.
