Hi, I'm Julie. I'm an elementary school teacher from Illinois. I started reading BSB fanfic over the summer of 1999, when I was 14, and I've been writing it for almost as long. My favorite kind of stories to write are drama/angst with a hint of romance, and most of my stories are about Nick or Brian.

Date: 08/12/14 Title: Chapter 45: Chapter 45: Howie

This chapter had me on the verge of tears - happy tears, of course! I loved Nick's revelation that he takes Howie for granted and treats him like shit sometime, yet Howie doesn't even seem to care. That just sums up their relationship, except I don't think Nick really treats Howie like shit; he sure gives him a lot of shit, but it's out of love, and Howie is just good-natured enough to take it - and occasionally get him back. The addition of AJ at the end of the chapter was a nice touch, some much-needed comic relief! And now I'm all caught up! Wow! And the story's almost over! I will be sad to see it end, but it's been such a fun ride!

Author's Response: Yay for happy tears and congratulations on getting all caught up!! I'm also sad that the story is coming to an end. It has been a big part of my life this summer and I don't know what I will do when I don't have to think about it/work on it. I have about two chapters left to go in order to wrap everything up.

Aww! You go, Brian! I hope Leighanne accepts what he has to say. He deserves to have a balance between being a husband and being a Backstreet Boy. I'm glad all the guys are finally reunited with their wives!

Author's Response: Balance in life is the key to being happy, so Brian definitely needs to find that balance. I'm proud of him in the sense that he finally found the courage to express himself. I figured that I couldn't end the story without a little reunion with the wives, so I'm glad that you appreciated it and that it didn't seem to forced.

Aww, I'm so sad this story is over, but that was a perfect ending! I almost forgot about Becca and Hailey, but it was a nice touch to bring them back in the epilogue. It really brought the story full circle. I'm glad it had a happy ending, although no doubt the guys would need some therapy after going through what they went through! I really, really enjoyed this story, and I will definitely have to check out more of your writing! I hope you've got more ideas up your sleeve! :)

Author's Response: I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the story! I had a wonderful time writing it and I will definitely attempt another suspense story sometime in the future. I have a couple of ideas that I have been kicking around. I'm not sure when I will get around to writing/posting them, but I will for sure be back. Thanks again, for all of your feedback. You did an amazing job writing this! I think your take on Nick's feelings was spot on, and you made him seem like less of a dick than he probably came across to people in the documentary. I kind of want to write a response with the same scene from Brian's POV now.

What a nice surprise to see a new story from you on here! Great start! I love Nick's narration and laughed so much at his description of how he showed up to soundcheck and how he knows his fans still love him like that anyway. "If day-old stubble, unbrushed teeth, a just-fucked hairdo and jeans so ripe they might walk away on their own accord, was something these ladies like, who am I to deny them?"

Author's Response: Trust me, I'm just as surprised! Posting it even somehow managed to break my internet lol I hit submit then my WiFi and my phone data went down for 30 mins :D Thanks for the review. It's actually one of the only times I've ever written Nick in first person and I thought it was a lot of fun, so I'm happy you enjoyed what you've read thus far.

Weird, my first review was actually longer than what is posted; part of it got cut off. :( I meant to say that I thought the end of the chapter was juicy and was looking forward to finding out the back story behind Nick's... marriage? And also I wondered if you are already done writing the story.

Ooh, wow! Sixteen?? Crazy! I have so many questions and can't wait to see how this all started! This is an interesting spin on the "long lost love child" type of story, but I'm wondering if there's even still a kid in the picture at all. It sounds like no, but then what happened? I want to know!! You definitely have my interest piqued.

Date: 06/30/17 Title: Chapter 1: Prologue

This one has been on my must-read list for awhile, so here we go! I love this prologue from what I assume to be Brian's POV. Great way to set the scene and catch us up on the back story, and I love his take on the Frick/Frack relationship. It's nice to know how much he still cares about Nick. I'm sure he would be the same way in real life. Great start!

Man, that was brutal! I'm talking about your portrayal of Jordan LOL. The way you wrote about him - and how Nick sees him - was freaking hilarious! I also liked how you included a picture of the text from Lauren; that was a nice touch. The call from Kevin was sweet, too. And then the bus crash - awesome! Great way to end the first chapter.

Nearly Headless Dave! *snort* You're so bad, and I love that about you! Delightfully gory descriptions in this chapter. I loved how Nick's first instinct was to Google what to do with Jordan LOL. That'd be me. I have a feeling Nick is going back on his word this time LOL.

Aww, I loved the flashback and the Kevin stuff in this chapter, especially when Kevin was talking about the things his dad taught him and how he would teach Nick what he knew. Very sweet. I also wondered if Kevin heard the crash, but I like that you set it up to where he may have just thought Nick had lost service. Very believable so far.

Author's Response: At the time I wasn't sure if I wanted Kevin to have heard the crash or not, so I left it open for both options. I think besides Raven being psycho, I really enjoy writing the flashbacks. In Nick's situation I've used them as a safe space for him. <3

Loved the description of the bugs and animals feeding on Dave and Jordan LOL. Poor Nick is probably just walking deeper and deeper into the woods at this point, if he still hasn't come to another road. Shoulda just stayed by the bus, Nick!

Wow, Nick did a lot of thinking in this chapter! What else would he do, I guess. The allegations he made about Aaron to Lou were interesting. Is that a rumor, or did you just make that up? I know the rumors about Nick and Lou, but wasn't sure if there was a thing about Aaron too. I was kind of out of the loop during this time period though. I laughed at the mental image of Nick chasing a rabbit with a stick LOL. Oh Nick...

Author's Response: Basically. The allegations are something I made up but I've always sort of wondered due to what happened to others under Lou. I never quite believed them with Nick. BSB was the first group and it doesn't fit well, but Aaron seems so damaged I always wondered cause he didn't have the security Nick did in a group. Dude, I couldn't help myself. The image of Nick chasing a bunny was too amusing not to use.

Bwahaha! I love how you set this chapter up, with Raven seeming mostly normal (aside from the zombie rainbow scrubs ;)) at the beginning and then turning at the end. I figured she would put something in his food to incapacitate him. Let the fun begin!
