I love a little bit of everyone, except of course the mean cliffy! If Kevin's been shot, I don't know what those two are going to do. These guys and their big dumb hearts, that they can't just kill Tim to protect themselves! I can't believe Howie's already run out of gas, and I really liked the Hospital scenes. I definitely haven't given up on Nick, he's a fighter, but if you kill any of them off I will not be a happy reader!! lol ...But seriously...don't.

I know, if Howie had only made sure Tim was dead, the rest of this could have been avoided! I'm glad to hear SOMEONE hasn't given up on Nick. Everyone has him dead and buried! :O( lol Thanks, Sam!
LOL as soon as I posted a review to the last chapter, I refreshed the page and saw that you had posted another! Poor Kevin, so upset at losing Nick. : ( When I read "gunshot wound to the head" I was like: WHAT? But super glad that was not the case. Great chapter though! I knew it was going to be Nick and Tim at the end. Poor kid, he's just getting dragged (no pun intended) through the wringer! Weirdly enough, I can't wait for the reunion at the hospital. : )

I love that throughout the story, their positions in each of those situations (trapped, prisoner, broken) changed, but sadly this is how it ended up. Good use of the prisoner one for AJ. I feel so bad for all of them. It's hard to believe that it all happened in the span of one night, but Brian reminded me of that.
I still can't believe you almost had him buried alive...I want Kevin to find out soon, so he can go after Tim in the hospital for a little vigilante justice. That would be hot. lol It's funny in reading the reviews that people feel sorry for Tim, but I definitely don't, guy is cray-cray.
Author's Response: Thanks, Sam! I felt like AJ made the best prisoner. I can't believe I almost buried him alive too LOL but I didn't so yay Nick! I love reading everyone's take on Tim and whether they view him as just the bad guy are another victim. I think the next chapter will help some. But yes, he is crazy! No doubt about that! Just posted chapter 39 a minute ago! LOL
Heeeeyyy! I totally missed this. I thought you said you weren't going to update until the weekend AFTER the cruise! lol Perfect ending to all the craziness. For a minute in the last chapter, I thought you might have done Nick in, but I'm super glad that's not the case. Even though it was just one night spent with Tim, you did a good job of making the affects of that night, and what it did to each boy, very believable. Sad to see a good suspense fic end (there's so few now), but SO happy to see you back regardless. Thanks for another great story Mare!
Author's Response: I originally wasn't going to update until after the cruise but all the cruise peeps were bugging me to update beforehand so I did. You know I wouldn't kill Nick again, I don't think I have it in me. Thanks for reading and reviewing, Sam. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I didn't read this initially because I just don't read FF about the boys being dead. I did keep tabs on it just because I felt like maybe he wasn't, and the feeling was correct. I was excited about the prospect of Nick possibly having to go into witness protection, but now it's all of them, that's going to be really interesting. I feel Nick is on to something as far the detectives knowing more than they're letting on. Picking driving arrangements...although I'm thrilled that Nick and Kevin are riding together. I hope it's a long car ride. lol
Author's Response: First, I just want to say thank you so much for keeping track of the story and for giving it a chance! I knew that I was running the risk of turning a lot of people off by presenting the idea that Nick was dead in the first chapter. Thankfully, quite a few people stuck around though! Now that the nasty business of Nick being dead has been cleared up, the real mystery surrounding the whole group can begin. It's so nice to be able to write all of them together. I hope that you continue to read and to enjoy where the story will go.
LOL at AJ coming down on Nick for what he said, when AJ dated a 17 year old when he was like...30. haha

Author's Response: Aww of course it would be! I love torturing Nick too much to leave it on the wayside too long. Sorry about that wait. LOL I think Nick even knows the odds are against him but he also knew he had to try. His captor is so fun to write cause so she's crazy. Thanks!
Loved seeing this updated and happy to read something here again. If it's not suspense, I just lose interest. Loved the shout out to one of Mare's stories, I knew exactly which one it was going to be just from the set up. lol "Nick" also brought up a good point in regards to his mom, but I have been curious about what the others are doing/thinking while Nick's going through hell. Hope to see more from this one soon!
Author's Response: Aww! Thanks! LOL I love that you knew where I was going with it. I mean Raven's a fangirl so when else would I have a better chance to shout out one of my fave fanfic moments? I might after I finish this story, do a companion shot on the rest of the group. Cause given the POV I went with on this I can't show it but I do sort of *know* cause I thought it all out.

It's funny because until the Documentary, I don't think I realized how deep their relationship is. From the time they were inseparable as kids, to being so distanced from each other during that fight, and to see how obviously hurt Nick was and has been by the turn in their closeness. There is a type of relationship there that I have never experienced or seen with anyone else, in a family dynamic, as a friend, even a loved one...it's very interesting. I don't know if any of that made sense. lol Great chapter, I can't wait for more!
