It was the week of Valentines Day and Kevin had concocted a romantic couples retreat. There was just one slight problem. I hadn't told the guys I was once again a single man. So I had no one to go with and I found myself making a desperate move.
She wasn't close to being my type, but was the only one to give into my little game plan. The shit I get myself into...

Geez, Nick needs to quit lying to himself. He wouldn't be thinking of sleeping with her if he didn't want to. He also wouldn't need sex so badly if he wasn't fantasizing about someone with no relief. And I knew she'd start crushing on some Kev. I didn't think he would be so quick to forget about his wife though.

And here comes my rational thoughts. Ok, so Kevin and Kristin are having issues. Kristin saw how her husband looked at Samantha, and got jealous. She's allowed, that's her husband. Kevin is acting without thinking of his previous commitments. If he doesn't want to be with Kristin he should have ended it. As for Samantha, she shouldn't try coming between a couple just because he's being nice and Nick is being a dick. Should Nick stop being so superficial? Yes, he's obviously attracted to her and every thing he says and does only will make it worse when he realizes it.
Meg Michaels, Rolling Stone writer & self-proclaimed butt-kicker at large, is mortified when she's sent out on tour for a week with the boy band she loved a dozen years ago. But nobody, including herself, is quite what they appear to be. And as she finds herself becoming part of the story -- and befriends a band member reeling from a failed marriage -- the boys on the bus begin to change her life.
This story is really great. I am enamored with it. If you take away who it is, what it is, the story is an amazing love story.

The note was so cute! But if I had been her, I would have jumped him. Granted, for me, it would be another guy I would have been jumping and I would NOT have had the willpower to turn him down. I absolutely love this story.
I debated long & hard about which way to go with that particular plot point. But she's been so dumb & chicken about the whole thing up to this point that in my mind, it makes sense for her to chicken out now. (For the record, if I had been her, I, too, would have climbed him like a tree in a heartbeat.)
Oh my gosh! Please tell me her boss picked up on it, and will tell her he's ok with her getting with a source and she goes to the concert. They kiss make up, tears, kisses, cheers, then spend the entire night and next day in bed!? Do not leave me hanging! I'm dying here!

Aw, they called her, but left Brian out. 3 weeks, so it's been 10 days. so a week and a half... C'mon! She's gotta like find a way, fly out and bang the crap out of him and tell him she loves him again. Geez. Ya killin' me smalls!

Aw, thanks! Your reviews have made me smile -- thanks for reading so faithfully. :) I'm noodling over a Nick story. Possibly involving Rochelle's friend from chapter 13... But as with this one, I want to finish writing it (or at least the majority of it) before I start posting any chapters, just so I don't give up in the middle & leave a published story untouched for months. Besides, I'm not so sure I'm ready to be done with Brian & Meg. :)
