I just read this story in practically 24 hours. And I totally LOVED it!
I loved Shay so much. I can totally relate to her weight issues, and it made me proud that she took control of her life & got what you wanted and deserved.
As for Nick I thought he was a total douche at first, but was so glad that he got it together and was there for his son.
Jake was so freakin adorable! I loved him so much. Just wanted to love on him forever. Definitely was Nick's mini me through and through.
I just have to say I think this was one of my favorite stories from you. I am slowly trying to read everything that you've written. You are one of my favorite fanfic authors. Your stories are so realistic and I could relate to all the characters. And I get sucked in and I can't stop reading until I've finished the story.
You've gained a fan for life. Thanks for sharing your awesomeness!

Author's Response: Aww thanks so much for such a great, thorough review! I'll admit that Great Divide is probably my favorite story that I've written because I got so attached to the relationship and because Nick was a flawed character of epic proportions and so was Shay. :)

Not my cup of tea, but I wanna give D the biggest kiss on the lips right now! I love how protective she is over Mags. And how Momma D reered her chops when she was defending Mags to AJ. It was a beautiful moment.
Wtf was AJ's problem anyway? That may be my man's and all but I wanted to slap him into the middle of next year. Get it together Alex.
On to more beautiful things, Brian is the biggest sweetheart in the world. I think the way he wants to propose to Mags is just beautiful. I know she will really love it and remember it the rest of her life.
Now that I've used the word 'beautiful' to describe everything. I just wanna say that I'm glad your back and I want more. :0)

Life kind of happened and I missed a couple updates but I'm back :p
Well I just love all of Mags friendships. I truely believe that she would be a different person if it weren't for her girls. I love book night. I think I'm gonna start something like that with a couple of my friends soon.
But anyways, I think Mags should try and find her brother. You never know what could happen. Be sides, I'm curious ;0)

:) I'm glad that you took a break, maybe you picked up on some inspiration along the way. It can get pretty overwhelming when your focused on one project.
I absolutely love the relationship Bri and Mags have. It's so natural and loving. They accept each other for who they are and don't try to change eachother.
I can't stand the woman who gave birth to Maggie. I can't even say her name, I'm so mad. How cruel can you be to mock someone else's misfortune. She's the devil reincarnated.
Love the story. Love the where the story line is headed. Hope you keep inspiration to finish telling Brian and Maggie's story. :0)

Aww Nick too! Boo! He was such a jerk to Mags. I don't like that he let his jealousy get in the way of trying to get to know Maggie.

Oh, this chapter completely melted my heart.
I love that Nick found a friend in Tommy. I think that's one of the best friendships that could of happen to him. Really loved Nick with Evelyn, so stinking cute.
The proposal was brilliant. I thought it was so cute. And the ring sounds like the ring of my dreams. I'm happy that they are able to take the step, so that Pegs knows Nick isn't going anywhere. I'm happy that she is satisfied with the fact that they may never get married but have the option open if they decided to just go ahead and do it.
Extremely happy that they stopped trying not to try. And I'm sure the baby boy/girl will be a spitting image of the both of them.
Love can be a beautiful thing, we just have to learn two words and will be fine: communication & compromise.
I'm sad/happy to see the end to this beautiful story. Jill you did and amazing job and I am so glad that you decided to share you amazing talent with us. Can't wait for your next project. :0)

Awww I totally love this story and Nick and Pegs as a couple. They are so good together.
I felt so bad for Peggy because I deal with panic attacks myself. I've never had one as bad to the point that I've passed out, but I've come close many of times. Panic attacks are the scariest thing in the world. I'm glad she was at the hospital when she had it.
As for Nick thinking Pegs was preggers. I was hiding a slight smile on my face reading it. It will happen if and when it's suppose to happen. But I'm glad that Nicholas isn't opposed to being put in that situation anymore.
You did a beautiful job with this chapter. I know I told you I was having anxiety cause I needed an immediate update, and I was having a mini heart attack that I had to study for two important test and could read the update. But I'm okay now. :0D

I just started reading this the other day and I must say that I'm hooked. This story depicts what couples go through all the time when you first move in together, whether you're married or not.
I get Peggy's points with the whole marriage and babies thing. It's pretty much what every girl wants for her future. But, I also get where Nick is coming from as well. Why promise to something you're not even sure you won't or are capable of handling. Let's be honest, some people who have kids shouldn't be allowed to create life at all.
But I love Peggy and Nick as a couple. I hope they can work out a solution or if not that a definite compromise to their problems.
Can't wait for the next update :)

I totally wanna give Allen a big smacking kiss on the lips right now.
I am so glad Nick end up there and in some seedy bar. Allen gave him the best advice I think he could have ever given Nick. He finally understands where Peggy is coming from and maybe, just maybe he will been more open-minded now that sees her point of view.
I hope this really helps Nick and Peggys's relationship for the better. They really seemed to love and care for each other deeply and I don't think they would fair very well without each other.
Great chapter. Get anxious knowing they're only four more after this one.

So the truth has been revealed... Brian wants to leave Leighanne. Not surprising to me, she's been up his ass for a while now. Being together literally all the time can get annoying as hell, marriage or no marriage.
As for Nicholas wanting to leave Lauren. That doesn't surprise me either. I think Lauren is a little bit overwhelming and a lot a bit controlling. You don't have to be perfect all the time. It's unrealistic and boring.
I think Nick writing the story with Yaz is what's got him to thinking about his relationship with Lauren. When he's with Yaz he seems more himself and just totally relaxed.
Well I'm very curious as to how these new revelations are gonna put a very welcoming twist to this awesome story. Can't wait for more. ;0)
