I slept the rest of the day. Too much happening. I was calling Izzy to tell her everything that's been going on.
"I got good news and bad news," I told her. "The good news is Nick and I are getting married. . ."
"What?! Oh, my God, you getting married with Nick?! This is so cool!" she said. "Wait, what's the bad news?"
"Nick is dead. We had shark attack."
"WHAT?!"
"Yeah, I know. Of course, you know I feel completely horrible and dead."
"W-Wait. H-How did this happen?"
"Nick made the night romantic for us. He bought a boat and named it after me. We made love again and about 2 hours later, something was banging on the boat. We saw it was a shark. The boat was sinking, so he told me I had to swim to shore and that he'll keep the shark distracted. Near the shore, I heard him scream and that's it."
Izzy stayed on the other line, speechless.
"Anyway, I got to go. Bye."
"Bye," she said slowly, and hung up.
I sighed again. Alone. I hated loneliness. I missed Nick so much. I walked downstairs to Nick's studio. My head sang a song. A song that would be from Nick's point of view . . .
