"Does that mean we have separate beds?" Nick asked me when we got inside the house.
"Mm-hmm," I nodded.
He groaned again. "Baby, stop it, please, you're killing me."
"I don't care. You didn't trust me," I said simply.
"Baby, . . ."
"No," I said, closing my room door in his face. I know that was a little harsh, but hey! He deserved it . . . Not trusting me, how could he? Set me up like that. Wait a minute . . . How did he know I had a crush on Frankie? And who gave Frankie my information? Only one person knew this aside from my parents . . . Izzy. Isn't it kinda like betrayal? I mean Izzy helped Nick on this. I called her up to find out more information.
"Dude," I greeted her. "Nick's punished. I know you told him. Explain."
"Uh, whatta wanna know?" she asked.
"Everything, spill."
"Nick told me it was a prank for you or something like that, so I gave him your info."
"Did you know I kissed Frankie?"
"Frankie? THE Frankie? Ha, yeah right," she laughed.
"Dude, I'm serious. Nick set me up, and Frankie got my number and all from you."
"And ya'll kissed? Sure, hun, sure."
"Don't believe me then."
"Yo, you got a come-back for Nick?"
I thought about a little comeback . . . When it came to my head, I smiled devilishly, "Yeah, come over here. For this, I need you."
"Okie dokie," she replied. "When?"
"Oh, I don't know. How about like in 3 or 4 days?"
"K. Peace."
"Bye," I said and hung up. I had a good feeling about the prank I'll do for Nick. It's payback time, baby. Payback like your song.
