I looked deeply into Nick's eyes. They were light blue . . . Shining light blue eyes I saw. I looked into his eyes while he looked deeply into mine. Then, the melody began . . . The melody to the first song I heard Nick and the guys sing . . .

From the first day
That I saw your smiling face
Honey, I knew that we would be together forever
Ooh, when I asked you out
You said no, but I found out
Darling, that you'd been hurt
You felt that you'd never love again
I deserve a try, honey, just once
Give me a chance, and I'll prove this all wrong
You walked in; you were so quick to judge,
But, honey, he's nothing like me

I'll never break your heart;
I'll never make you cry
I'd rather die than live without you
I'll give you all of me
Honey, that's no lie
I'll never break your heart;
I'll never make you cry
I'd rather die than live without you
I'll give you all of me
Honey, that's no lie

As time goes, you will get to know me
A little more better
Girl, that's the way love goes,
And I know you're afraid
To let your feelings show;
And I understand,
But, girl, it's time to let go
I deserve a try, honey
Just once
Give me chance, and I'll prove this all wrong
You walked in; you were so quick to judge
But, honey, he's nothing like me
Darling, why can't you see

By the second verse, I felt tears coming down my cheeks again.

"Nick, I love this song," I whispered in his ear.
"I know, babygirl, I know," he comforted me, once again taking away my tears with his thumbs. Nick pulled me closer to him.
I laid my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes. I listened to the song . . .

I'll never break your heart;
I'll never make you cry
I'd rather die than live without you
I'll give you all of me;
Honey, that's no lie
I'll never break your heart;
I'll never make you cry
I'd rather die than live without you
I'll give you all of me;
Honey, that's no lie

No way, no how
I'll make you cry
No way, no how
I'll make you cry

I'll never break your heart;
I'll never make you cry
I'd rather die than live without you
I'll give you all of me;
Honey, that's no lie
I'll never break your heart;
I'll never make you cry
I'd rather die than live without you
I'll give you all of me;
Honey, that's no lie

I didn't notice that the guys were finish. Nick and I were too busy still making-out. I pulled off his tight grasp, breathing for air.

"Don't you think Aaron was good?" I heard Nick say, catching his breath.
I looked at him, confused for a moment. "Aaron sang for you?"
He nodded.
"I did hear a Carter-like voice in that song," I thought to myself. I yawned.
"You tired, baby?" Nick asked me, hugging me.
I nodded.
"You wanna go home?" Nick said. "Wow, . . . 'home.' Doesn't it feel good to say it?"
I laughed a little. "Yes, Nicky, it does." I began to trace his chest through the tuxedo shirt. "Nicky, if you wanna go home, we could."
"Baby, be honest, you tired, right?"
I sighed tiredly and nodded.
"Ok," he replied. "Let's cut the cake, and we'll take it home with us."
I nodded again and leaned against him. Boy, was I tired! Singing, getting ready for the marriage . . . Ah, food, then home! I stopped Nick. "We could eat the cake here, then leave."
"Whatever you want, baby. Whatever makes you happy," he said softly.

Well, we cut the cake and ate it. I told Nick I wanted an ice cream cake, and he agreed. He, too, likes ice cream cakes. As I sat down to eat my last piece of cake before I went home, I felt as if I was being watched. I looked around at my surroundings and saw nothing. I ignored my thoughts, but still . . . I felt as though I was being watched . . . Nick and I were being watched.
