Epilogue:

Tesia stared out the car window, as her father drove her to the airport. It may have been the middle of the afternoon in Florida, but she knew it was much earlier in the day down in California – where her brother would be waiting to greet her and take her home. Finally – she was going to feel safe again.

She glanced at her father, who was in the driver’s seat, every so often. She wondered just what had made him change his mind about letting her go live with her brother. She was still in a bit of shock, since being told she was leaving for California. She also wondered why it couldn’t have waited until the next day – not that she cared – she wouldn’t have been able to wait until the next day anyway.

She looked back out her window then, as a small smile was creeping upon her face – and she was afraid if her father spotted it, he’d turn the car around and head back home.

“I’m comin’ J. I’m comin’,” she thought quietly. “Finally.”

A.N.: Well, looks like she's getting what she wants, huh? But...was her father telling her the truth? Or did he just say that, so that she'd go willingly? Please review! Thanks!
