Tired, hungry, and thirsty...bad day to have to pack for a 3 month trip!
"Mary! Mary!" Leslie said running into my room. She jumped on me and we fell onto my bed. "You won't believe this!" I think at that moment I would believe anything, she just jumped on me.
"Well ok, get off me!" She laughed and got off me. Leslie was a beautiful girl. 5'6", blonde silky hair, bright green eyes that struck your soul with one swift look, a fit body that when she got tickled it screamed enjoyment. More than anything her personality was the best thing about her. A funny girl that tells the best jokes when your feeling down and out. A serious woman who can fix any problem at any part of the day. No matter what Leslie was an all around perfect person. Unfortunately she's not to good at opening up to guys. She is working on it, but she feels like there is someone waiting for her. And I believe her.
"Ok well I just got off the phone with Howie right?" I nodded and went back to folding my clothes and putting them in my suitcase. "Well Howie said that AJ was at Kay's Jewelry all day!" I looked at her with a confused look on my face.
Ok Leslie has lost it, I just know it...
"Leslie, where are you going with this? He loves jewelry you know that. It's not a big deal really."
"Oh and I guess when he comes back with a ring box it's not."
"Probably not, Leslie we're aren't supposed to be there for another few days...Knowing Alex he would wait till the last minute to buy a ring for engagement. Plus, he and Kaci were more serious than he and I." She pushed me. I stared at her with this blank look.
"Don't mention her name, shame on you! You guys are perfect for each other! You've been friends for like 5 years, dating shouldn't be any different now, except you kiss more and stuff." I ignored her and went back to packing. She left the room in a fussy mood.
Don't kid yourself Mary, he probably bought that ring for you. Is it for engagement? Promise ring? Or did he buy himself another ring for his collection. No stop it, don't get your hopes up...remember what happened last time?
