“How is she?” Nick wanted to know. “Did she sound okay?”

“You hurt her Nick, you hurt her bad man,” Brian rejoined. “I know you were only trying to help, but you didn’t; you broke her heart instead.”

“I never meant to hurt her,” Nick answered. “Frick, do you think she’d forgive me if I apologized for being the idiot that I am?”

“I dunno, probably,” Brian responded trying not to smile, for he knew Lenore wanted him back, badly. “You’ll never know unless you try.”

“Got any ideas as to how I can make it up to her?”

“Come with me Frack, and we’ll think of ways for you to win her heart over again.”

The two of them then disappeared to come up with a way for Nick to get Lenore back again.
