When we walked in the door, Noah bombarded my legs. “Jazzy, Jazzy.” He said, tugging on my pant leg. “What bud.” I said, crouching to his level. “I wanna play wif yous.” I smiled, and handed Terri my bags. She nodded, and went upstairs. “Come on, let’s go play.” I said, picking Noah up. He giggled, and I smiled, loving his laugh. We headed to the backyard, and I put him down, beginning to chase him around the yard. “Ahhh, Jazzy stop.” Noah squealed as I caught up with him, tickling him nonstop. I laughed, and picked him up, resting him on my hip. Pete walked outside to see what was all the commotion, and smiled when he saw us. I nodded, and headed back inside with Noah, setting him on the counter before I grabbed the phone. I heard the other end ring two times before Maddie picked up. “Hola, Trousdale residence.” Her voice cooed, and I smiled. “Hey chica, is everyone over there.” “As in my brothers yes.” I smiled, and covered the mouthpiece. “Hey Noah, wanna meet a new friend.” Noah nodded, so I uncovered the mouthpiece. “Maddie, do ya think if I bring Noah over he can hang with Stevie?” “Sure, he’s uber bored right now anyway.” I smiled, and said, “Be over soon.” Before hanging up.

Ten minutes later, I was knocking on Maddie’s door. She opened it with a flourish, and I saw Stevie right behind her. “Hey guys.” I said, said, bringing Noah into the house. “Hello.” I heard Greg yell from the kitchen, so I raised an eyebrow. “He’s only here for a while.” I nodded, and said to Noah, “Noah, why don’t you go hang with Stevie.” Stevie smiled, and grabbed Noah’s hand, leading him upstairs. I laughed, and turned to Maddie. She smiled, and led me to the kitchen, where sure enough, Greg was sitting. I smiled at him before going to the fridge and pulling out a juice box. Maddie and Greg were talking quietly, so I slipped out the front door, and went back to my house. Pete raised his eyebrows at me as I trudged to my room. Julieanna looked up as I passed, and I sighed. “What’s up?” She said, following me to my room. “I dunno.” I said, pressing my head against the window. “Okay. I’m in my room if you want to talk.” I nodded, and walked away from the window. The bed dipped slightly as I sat on it, drawing my guitar over to me. I began to strum random chords, finally deciding on a song:

Oh oh Oh oh Oh, Oh oh Oh oh Oh,
Oh oh Oh oh Oh, Oh oh Oh oh Oh,
Oh oh Oh oh Oh, Oh oh Oh oh Oh.

In the beginning, I tried to warn you
You play with fire, it's gonna burn you
And here we are now, same situation
You never listen, I never listen
Now I am thinking of a way that I can make an escape
It's got me caught up in a web and my hearts the prey
Do you really wanna throw your heart away, away, away?

Everybody's hurt somebody before
Everybody's been wound by somebody before
You can change but you'll always come back for more
It's a game and we are all just victims of love.
Don't try to fight it, victims of love
You can't decide it, victims of love
Oh oh Oh oh Oh, victims of love
Oh oh Oh oh Oh.

Now you've back tracked, you're running away
'cause it just happened again and you just want it to end
You're trying your best not to let yourself go cold, so cold.
Now you think about the things you thought you wanted to say
But when you open up your mouth it don't come out that way
Are you really gonna throw your heart away, away, away?

Everybody's hurt somebody before
Everybody's been wound by somebody before
You can change but you'll always come back for more
It's a game and we are all just victims of love.
Don't try to fight it, victims of love
You can't decide it, victims of love
Oh oh Oh oh Oh, victims of love
Oh oh Oh oh Oh, victims of love.

In the beginning, I tried to warn you
You play with fire, it's gonna burn you
And here we are now, same situation,
You never listen, I never listen

Everybody's hurt somebody before
Everybody's been wound by somebody before
You can change but you'll always come back for more
It's a game and we are all just victims of love.

Everybody's hurt somebody before
Everybody's been wound by somebody before
You can change but you'll always come back for more
It's a game and we are all just victims of love.

Don't try to fight it, victims of love
You can't decide it, victims of love
Oh oh Oh oh Oh, victims of love
Oh oh Oh oh Oh, victims of love.

I heard someone cough, and I looked up to see Patrick. “Hey Pat.” I said, putting my guitar aside. The thing was my baby, and I treated it with care. Patrick sat down beside me, and I smiled. “Having fun singing to me?” he asked, smiling at me. “You were there the entire time.” I said, blushing. “Yep, and you sing pretty good.” He said, nudging my ribs. I smiled, and hopped off the bed, running down the stairs. Patrick laughed, and I smiled, searching for Pete. I found him in the living room, playing with Skipper. I smiled, and said, “Pete, I’ma go to bed now okay.” “Sure night cuz.” I nodded, and went back upstairs, and went to bed.
