Author's Response: I was at a meeting at work and we had similar answers come up concerning loss prevention and I\'ve laughed ever since. This scene was written long before the story was formulated at all. I think this scene and the -uh- \"shitty luck\" Nick had in the 2nd chapter are my 2 favorite scenes in the story. :)

“You want a piece of me…punk?!?” Nick licked his lips and tried to spin the gun in his hand. I laughed, as I watched the plastic tumble, to the floor.
Lmao, I can so totally picture Nick saying and doing that. The "gun fight" scene was very heart warming and a wonderful treat. It was nice for them to relax without realizing it and just forget about everything else for a few small moments, even if it was really childish. Childish moments are good.
I enjoyed the fact that Mason opened up so much to Baylee. He released some strong emotions, so much so that I just wanted to reach through the screen and pull him into a hug. Poor kid. Him and Baylee certainly have it rough, but the fact that their situations are very similar could be a positive for them. I just hope that Mason will be able to convey to Kevin everything he told Baylee.
