On his 31st birthday, Nick opens his keepsake box and reflects on birthdays past while adding his most recent item. Keeping in line with "To the Magnificent Nickolas Carter", "Fishing Again" and "The Sun Goes Down on Another," I had the urge to write another birthday themed story for Nick. I haven't done this in awhile. Anyway, hope you enjoy

Aww, I like the idea of a birthday box! It almost reminds me of the box in that ABC Family movie Lucky Seven where the girl's dying mother gave her things to remember for each upcoming year of her life. Anywayyy, I liked the story! I liked that it was introspective, just Nick's thoughts, and the stories behind each item were cute! Of course, I don't know how much I like the thought of Nick marrying anyone, let alone Lauren...but, hey, if that's what fictional Nick wants to do for his 31st birthday, who am I to say nay? lol

The week before Millennium is released, the Backstreet Boys are on top of the world. They can sense their lives are never going to be the same, but unfortunately, they didn't intend for it to happen quite the way it did. Once they board a small private plane to take them to do some press in Philly, things take a drastic turn.
Hmm, that was weird. For some reason, I totally skipped reading chapters 13 and 14 when I was speeding through the story the other day. For sure, I'm all caught up now!
So I figure they're going to get out of this *mostly* alive because of those flash-forward chapters...but how? I hope Kevin's kick-butt mojo powers come out and jedi mind trick these people.
Ahahahahah I don't think Philly is beautiful at all, so it was funny to hear Brian's thoughts about it. Also, the other night, my mom wondered when there would ever be a day when I-76 to Philly wouldn't be packed with traffic...I guess that would be when the celebrity-killing, nuclear (IDK if it's nuclear lol) apocalypse happens.

That is weird considering you left your review on chapter 14. LOL hrmm... Yeah, the whole Philly is beautiful thing is completely ficticious but I can see Brian thinking that. I bet even if a celebrity killing apocolypse tyoe thing ever did happen I -76 would still be jammed with traffic and construction. Thanks for reading Sarah! :O)
So instead of leaving a review per chapter, I thought i'd leave one big one...although, if you'd like, I could go back and review every single one separately ;)
I don't know how you do it, because I've tried a million times, but you always manage to create the perfect, creepy atmosphere in all of your stories. I don't know what words you use or what magic dust you sprinkle, but reading each chapter made me feel dread, nervousness, and...awe of the world you created. I am so curious as to how the weather changed in less than an hour from May to December; I want to know why Canada suddenly attacked the US (although I'm sure Julilly could give us a bunch of reasons for that lol); and I really want to know why celebrities are being hunted down and killed. I mean, I've often felt murderous when it comes to the Kardashians and Paris Hilton and most reality stars, as well as Jennifer Love Hewitt lol, but to offer rewards for celebrities? And, oh, how did whoever it is that is attacking manage to change the world from loving celebs, like the screaming fans in the hotel lobby, to hunting them down within hours? Oh and why do Howie and Nick need to look older? Is there some sort of hunt going on for youth?
Mare! Why do I have more questions than answers?! Y U NO WRITE FASTER?! Between this story and Undead, I have so many questions and need more chapters ASAP. I think that must be a sign of some excellent writing :)
P.S. I think Diddy was Puff Daddy and not P.Diddy yet in 1999 lol That man. Too many name changes :/
P.P.S. I love how part of your personal opinions of people like Leighanne manage to eke into your stories. It's especially evident in Nick's chapters :P

Thanks Sarah! One long review is fine. LOL YEah, here's a lot of unanswered questions but as we go along, more stuff will be revealed. You know how I work by now. I'm already working on the next chapter so hopefully i'll get another update out pretty soon. LMAO about Puffy piddy fluffenstuff. I forgot he was puff daddy. I'm sure he'll get over it. whoo! i'm here from chapter one! i like this so far! I tried to do this plotline once (Leighanne dies, Brian moves Baylee back to KY, etc) but I think you'll do a much better job and actually finish your story! I will now go and make sure I get alerts for this one, too :P Yays!
Also, where was Leighanne that Brian wasn't with her? I mean, it sounds like it was late at night, so was she out with friends or what? And yes, I knows you'll probably reveal soon...I just like asking all these questions anyway :P
