One thing about this chapter I noticed was Nick can't count! Nick was born in 1980 while Thomas was born in 1950 and thats only 30 years difference instead of 40 as Nick said LOL.
This journal sounds interesting if the magnifying glass works like Nick thinks it should so he can find out something new!!!

OMG Mare, you did a brillant job of writing this chapter!!!
I swear I laughed 10 minutes straight just from this section ---> “Did you get the notebook and the magnifying glass out of the car yet?” I decided to ask when the room kind of just went silent. Everyone looked over at me as if I had just spoken Chinese. Hrmm, maybe I did speak Chinese. I mean it could happen, if you’re hit on the head enough in a week, miraculous things can occur. Of course I’d much prefer the ability to read people’s thoughts or fly than to speak Chinese. I wonder if I could work at a Chinese restaurant then because I am pretty sure that’s a requirement.
Since they were still looking at me as if I was a weirdo I tried my hand at some good old fashioned Chinese. “Hu Hu Kiki maka?”
I was thinking a different thing about the small writing in the book, that you had to add up every page and what was written would say a message or something!
I'm excited to find out about their exploring in the next chapter, great chapter!!!
OHHH and I nearly wet myself from laughing when AJ said “You’re leaving me with Mr. Bill? What if he gets his head caught between the bed and the nightstand or something? Do you have a helmet he can wear?” LMAO even though I don't know the Mr Bill reference
Author's Response: lmao thanks. I admit I cracked myself up with the whole chinese thing too. Mr. Bill is an old character from SNL who was made of clay and he was accident prone and would manage to get himself run over or eaten by things or smooshed in every episode and then after it would happen someone would always say "Oh no...Mr. Bill!!!" lol
