Is it wrong that I laughed at the end of this chapter? It just seems like exactly the type of messed-up thing that would happen to her, knowing her family and all.
I liked the end, myself-- from a literary standpoint. Was i expecting and hoping for simething different? Of course, but you can't title it like that and end it with all sunshine and rainbows and them actually getting back together. Congrats on yet another job well done!

Moving in with a girlfriend always seemed like a good idea to Nick Carter. He liked the companionship - waking up with someone, eating dinner with someone and always having a date to the movies.
What he never remembered was the awkward first month of honeymoon level romance mixed with annoyance and a twinge of seething hatred. He only hoped they would make it.

Very nice ending to a fantastic story! I'm going to admit it took me a little while to get into this one-- the combo of his calling her "Dogface" and the jumping back and forth in time had me a little confused, but now that I know the back story, I loved it! Looking forward to Landing!
I have a feeling there may be more going on than what meets the eye here. I'm interested to see where all of this finally ends up. BTW, three stories in, I've decided I love the before and after style of doing this. It gives it a little something extra for your readers- keeps us coming back for more!
