Only fill this out AFTER you are completely done with the story you are reading and then post it in this thread

1) Name of the story you read and the author and what you feel the genre is. Your answer might be different then the authors.

2) Would you have ever read this story if it wasn't a challenge?

3) What was your favorite scene?

4) Who was your favorite character and why?

5) Overall tell us one reason why you think someone else should/or shouldn't read this story.

6) Did it convert you to the genre it is? Would you be willing to read another story just like it?

7) Give one piece of concrit that might help the author for future reference. This can be positive too, concrit doesn't always mean negative.

8) This should be the question the author asked in their survey. Everyone's will be different.

9) Would you recommend this story and author to another person? Why or why not

10) Out of 10 stars what would you give this story?

11) Do you think after you are done reading what's there so far (and you only have to read however many chapters are there when the start of this challenge was given) Do you think you will continue to read the story through to the end to see what happens to the characters?

And for those of you reading completed stories, if there was a sequel, would you be curious enough to continue reading on?

I thought i'd post an end of first week update.

As you can tell, some of you are already done with your challenge while others haven't even started yet. As of midnight last night, three of you haven't left a reivew or posted anything about your stories.

I'm talking to you! (points to Karah, Imke and Julilly)

In a comical twist of fate though, it seems like Imke is reading Karah's story and Karah is reading Julilly's story, so the only person who this is really unfair to is poor Saka Steph. I know we're all busy and all being the key word, but by now we should have at least gotten past the first chapter.

If you aren't too busy to post on twitter you can be reading instead. lol

I told you all I was going to call you out as we go along. And yes, i'm this anal to work with (hence why I never collaborate! Ask Maria! lmao)

To help move things along a bit, i'm going to set goals for the week. I know it's hard because all of the stories we are reading are different chapter lengths and word counts etc.. so let's say this:

Everyone should have at least up to chapter 10 read by the end of this week. If you are reading chapters that have less than 2,000 your pace should be a little faster than if you are reading something with 5,000 words per chapter.

Everyone has until the end of August to finish so pace yourself accordingly.

I would also really like to see everyone post something about the chapters they have read thus far in this thread at some point this week. Remember you should be posting feedback on the actual AC site and in here on occasion. You don't have to leave feedback on every single chapter because I know sometimes there's just nothing to say but if you read five chapters in a row, you should leave feedback on that fifth chapter. Some of you that have finished your stories have only left feedback on the first few chapters and then the survey at the end.

I am going to start a new post because i'm being very wordy lol

sorry...
Title: Re: Engarde!!!!! The reading challenge part two!
Post by: mare on July 25, 2011, 06:30:11 AM
okay taking a breath lol

continuing on now...

As far as the surveys and any concrit you have received, you are more than welcome to post comments to those in here, whether you are the person who wrote the story or if you are someone who has already read the same story and has something you'd like to add or disagree with etc...

You can post in here even if you aren't doing the challenge.

I made sure to include above, not only the person who wrote the story but the person who has read it and which story they wrote as well. If you are done with your story, I challenge you to go read or skim through the story of the person who reviewed you. This way you can either take their words to heart or not, depending. lol

Remember reviews are only a matter of personal preference sometimes so seeing their writing style etc.... might help you understand a little where they are coming from.

So there's your homework boys and girls....well girls. LOL

If you are done - take a minute and skim through or read the person's story who reviewed you and comment if you'd like.

If you aren't done - Read up to chapter 10 and post your thoughts in this thread. I'll even give you a question to help you out.

Question for this thread: Is the story you are reading flowing nicely?

There ya go! Of course we'd love to hear more than that but at least it's a start!

And don't forget to review! :) Otherwise what's the purpose?

Now i'm done, I think lol

I read Chapters 1-4 of Julilly's Stockholm Syndrome last night and I'm really enjoying it so far. Nick in the story is kind of cracking me up a little and the chick that they abducted is treating him exactly how I would if Nick ever kidnapped me.

Gonna do a few things around the house and start back reading on it. But I'm <3<3ing it so far!

Sorry I've been slacking with reading ther past few days. Just finished Chapter 26 of 00Carter and the 5th episode arc Bunnies in Black. Oddly enough so far this was my favorite despite the introduction of aliens to the plot. I've made how I feel about sci-fi known, so it's a wonder my head didn't explode lol jk. I love how dramatically this arc started out with a young couple wandering onto the HimTak base because the wife was in a very complicated labor. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it yet but it was very intriguing.

I also LOVE the idea of the girls getting their own mission and Nick having to stay behind. It was also kind of awesome that their mission involved masquerading as Playboy Bunnies at the Playboy Mansion. The situation lent itself to a lot of really humorous lines and situations.

The alien stuff once it got underway... Ehh kind of made me want to skim over a lot, but that's just mer personally having zero interest in sci-fi. I see that the next episode takes place in Disney World and I am a HUGE Disney fan so I may like that one even better.

Thanks, Mel!  I'm so surprised that the BIB was your favorite episode so far!  We thought for sure we'd lose you with the aliens LOL.

We always wanted an all-girl, Charlie's Angels style mission for the ladies, and our original idea for this episode was more of a spoof on Flava of Love and Bret Micheals' Rock of Love, which were both still on Vh1 at the time, and the girls had to pose as sex slaves for those two.  We planned it all out and started writing it, but a couple of parts in, we realized it wasn't going very well and none of us were really sold on the idea, so we actually scrapped it and went back to the drawing board.  We decided to go the Playboy/Girls Next Door route instead, and I have no idea how the aliens came into it, but somehow we got that idea, too.  It changed the whole future of the story, introducing aliens to the 00Carter universe, because like you said in one of your reviews, that arc is too big to be over.

Anyway, I'm glad you liked the all-girl episode.  I guess it helps being a romance fan, because we were worried people wouldn't like it because of the lack of Backstreet Boys; that's why we tried to still include them as much as we could.  Thanks for the feedback!!

I recall being into the Rock/Flava of Love idea! :P  In fact I was writing my part when it changed. :(
For the better, though.

I know, I remember you were... I think we all were originally, but seems like we had a lot of trouble getting that episode off the ground.  The Playboy plot turned out better.

It's up to you Lore, if you want that would be nice. :)

I was doing checking and some people haven't reviewed past the first few chapters. That makes me sad. Imke still hasn't even started her story yet. It's not fair if people are reading yours and you aren't extending the same courtesy to others.

It's still only Thursday though. I won't be calling everyone out officially until Monday. lol

I know you're only up to chapter five becaue I know all!   ;D

Yes, that's why Mel is okay with being only up to chapter 6 for 00Carter because of the immense word count on that one too. I'm taking all of that into consideration. Although technically she's way past chapter 6. More like part 6. So, nevermind about that. LOL

Finished Epidsode 6! I think that puts me at about the halfway mark right? I want to try to get ahead because I am leaving for vacation on Mon so I probably will not get a chance to do much reading.

Anyway so now I think THIS was my fav episode! Being a HUGE Disney geek I appreciated this episode being set at Magic Kingdom. Besides all the action I was really impressed with the way in which the authors used the different attractions throughout the story. I know that Julie had shared with me that she hadn't been there in over 10 years, so considering I thought it was really accurate. I did notice a few little errors, but for the most part everything was described perfectly.

This arc ended on kind of a defeating note, so I am anxious to read on and see how the HimTak agents bounce back from this!

Is it weird that I thought there would be more discussion in this thread.

Anyways, I know I said this before but I am really enjoying Mare's story. She is a great writer and a very tricky woman who leaves ya hanging in almost every chapter. One of the many reasons that keeps ya coming back to read. I especially like how she transitions from reality to dreaming and sometimes back to reality. Without confusing  ??? the heck out of you.

I find myself feeling all Brian's emotions as I read and at times I smile, get angry and *looks around* even teary eyed. I love their bond as a group!

OMG I will say Mare that I do find it throws me off when Kevin calls Nick "Baby". Yet, I can see Kevin and his fatherly figure calling him that. Is that weird?

I thought there would be more discussion in here by now as well.

Aww thanks Erika and I am with you on the baby thing. That's one of the things that made me cringe going back and rereading some of my older stuff. Supposedly, that was one of the things that Kevin called Nick back in the day so the mushy part of me took that and ran with it! I love Nick and Kevin if we all can't tell! LOL

Thanks, Mel!  There are 10 episodes (we're still posting the 10th), so in terms of that, you're well over halfway.  Some of the later episodes are longer, though, so in terms of chapters, maybe not.

I'm glad you liked the Disney episode!  Like I said before, it's probably my favorite too.  Definitely that or Episode 9.  We tried to do quite a bit of research on Disney World; I know I did, anyway; I think I still have park maps and pages about the Utilidors under the park and stuff bookmarked on my computer.  But, as with anything, it's hard to get everything totally accurate when you're relying more on online information than personal experience.  Hopefully the action and humor in this episode made up for the little inaccuracies about some of the attractions.

I think it is LOL. I'm glad you loved the Disney Episode, it's my personal fave as well. There were just a lot of chances to have fun with it. And we wanted to use every attraction we could (within reason). :). I've actually never been to Disney World lol, I relied solely on the information from that layout of the park Julie found, and what came up during googling. I know I had to youtube the Tiki Tiki Room (one of my scenes) for example lol.

Sadly some of our info wasn't the most up to date :( but I appreciate you pointing that out. We, Julie and I especially, spend a lot of time looking up info/googling for everything we write. We're anal to a fault anymore lmao. (Which can sometimes be a pain in the ass LOL)

OK, I've read the first 5 chapters of Love This Pain by My Confession.  So far, so good.  I'm really enjoying it.  It's a Nick story and it starts with him being dumped and alone on his 30th birthday.  AJ sets him up with a blind date and he expects her to be a minger, but it turns out she's gorgeous and not the usual type of girl he attracts.  They have a lovely meal and plenty of conversation before going to his hotel.  They have amazing sex but when he wakes, she's gone and not left her number (she must be mad, lol).

Really well written, good detail in the story and it makes you want to carry on reading.

Aww thank you! The story is a bit different for me for the fact that it's not the typical meet and fall on love.

Finished "Stockholm Sydrome" tonight! Left comments on most chapters but will do a full post here later today!

1) Name of the story you read and the author and what you feel the genre is. Your answer might be different then the authors. "Stockholm Syndrome" by Julilly. The genre is obviously AU because they are not Backstreet Boys in it, but I could also see it listed under Drama and Suspense.

2) Would you have ever read this story if it wasn't a challenge? Eventually I think. I've wanted to read some of Julilly's stuff for a while, so this challenge kind of pushed me to it since I'm not much of a reader.

3) What was your favorite scene? I really liked the scenes where Nick stood up for himself against Brian and AJ. The scene with Nick and Brian in the guesthouse towards the end was really good. I also liked the quickie scene as well.

4) Who was your favorite character and why? Obviously Nick because he's the guy you're rooting for basically from the beginning because of how sucky his life has been and how his "friends" treat him.

5) Overall tell us one reason why you think someone else should/or shouldn't read this story. If they don't like AU stories, they won't like it because it's very AU, but I think people should read it because it's very well written and it's not what you expect from a BSB fan fiction... Nick Carter really isn't the real NIck Carter in it by any means at all.

6) Did it convert you to the genre it is? Would you be willing to read another story just like it? I think so and yes I think I would.

7) Give one piece of concrit that might help the author for future reference. This can be positive too, concrit doesn't always mean negative.
I think how the thoughts jumped from one character to the next, like from Nick to the girl, sometimes got to me, but that was really the only thing.

8) Does it suck? Stick out tongue No really, I'd like the person who reads it to tell me if, even as an AU that is pretty far out of range for typical BSB fic, if they were still able to properly picture the Boys in their new roles.
Yes, I can still see the boys in the roles and I kind of like Nick in the vulnerable role!

9) Would you recommend this story and author to another person? Why or why not yes, because I liked it!

10) Out of 10 stars what would you give this story?
9.5

11) Do you think after you are done reading what's there so far (and you only have to read however many chapters are there when the start of this challenge was given) Do you think you will continue to read the story through to the end to see what happens to the characters? Does it suck? Stick out tongue No really, I'd like the person who reads it to tell me if, even as an AU that is pretty far out of range for typical BSB fic, if they were still able to properly picture the Boys in their new roles. If there is ever a sequel, yes, I definetly would read it, but the story was complete.

------

Overall, I really enjoyed the story. I kind of had a feeling that Nick would fall for the girl once the other guys made him their bitch and had him watch over her. I loved the fact that some things were thrown in, such as the girl starting her period and Nick having to improvise on that. I thought the way that the guys used Nick and then ended up stabbing him in the back by not letting him be a part of the company was really well written because for them to exclude him really came out of left field for me and took me by surprise.  I loved how at the end, Nick was the hero and because he didn't have a job with the landscapping company, he wasn't a suspect.

It was really good and didn't suck AT ALL! <3<3<3

I am SO sorry, Karah and everyone else! I came back from my holiday yesterday and I thought there'd be normal internet over there 'cause I read reviews about the campsite a week ago and everyone said the internet connection was really good. It SUCKED. It wouldn't let me post anything or let me send any emails (otherwise I would've sent Tracy an email about my sucky internet), let alone leave any reviews. The website wouldn't show up half of the time, which happened to pretty much any website. The internet sucked the most in the evening which was exactly the only moment I had time to turn on my laptop. I was able to read this thread once in a while and I wanted to tell you all that I couldn't do anything but internet wouldn't cooperate at all. It was so frustrating! :(

Again, I'm sorry that I left you all waiting, I wanted to complain at the campsite's head office but figured that there was nothing they could do about it.

I'm having a normal internet connection again so I will read & review asap!

I'm up to Chapter 10 of Love This Pain and am still loving it!  Nick has found out that the girl AJ set him up with is actually an escort.  So you can imagine how pissed off Nick was and poor AJ got a black eye, lol.

I love that it's not the typical romance story and Natalie isn't falling all over every word Nick says.  She's a good strong character with plenty to say for herself, unlike the date Nick just took out in chapter 9 who only wanted freebies from him.

I would just like to say once again that I am so proud of all of you for taking part in this challenge. It's says a lot about your characters to be willing to step outside of your comfort zones and try something new. Too bad more of you didn't participate, maybe next time.

Of course I am saying this before I call out those of you that haven't lived up to your goals this week so for now soak it in. LOL

I'm still on chapter 20 of It Stays With You but I'm looking forward to hopefully finishing it tomorrow. This is the first time I have read something by Mare (except one shot challenge responses) and I'm really glad I took the challenge.

Thus far i find her writing easy to follow...I'm only confused when it seems like that's what she wants. This story is SO far out of my normal reading and I'm highly surprised that I've been enjoying it. I can picture everything that's going on...I feel the emotions of the characters...I find the characters very realistic...an d I think everything flows very well.

I shall be back with a full report tomorrow or Tuesday, once I finish reading.

I remember it being hard to tell what was Brian's dreams/hallucinations and what was reality in It Stays sometimes, but I think, like you said, that was intentional on Mare's part.  She sure likes to keep us guessing! :)

Aww thanks! When I wrote this I wanted the readers to feel as confused and unresolved as Brian if that makes any sense? I like to do that in my stories, have a few chapters where you leave going WTF is going on? lmao

Yeah, it was like that, but in a way that still made enough sense to enjoy.  I loved it!

Happy August everyone! Just doing my weekly check in to let everyone know how we are doing.

So far these people have completely rocked the challenge and have finished their assigned stories:

Julie
Julilly - still needs to fill out her survey
Karah
Krystle (Sapphire)
Lore
Steph (Carter - Orange)
Tracy

I will be making a final survey for the authors to fill out towards the end of the month saying how they felt overall about taking part in the challenge. Thanks to all of you!

Some of you haven't quite stepped up and did not reach your goal of the week.

Imke - has yet to start (I know you were on vacation)
Summer03 - only reviewed the first chapter
Saka Steph - Only reviewed up to chapter 2
Darby - only reviewed up to chapter 3
Carterkid - only reviewed up to chapter 6

4 out of 5 of you have had your stories fully reviewed by your assigned readers already. You made a commitment, please live up to it and get moving!

Everyone else, kudos to you! Because you have acheived your goal of the week you have no homewrok this week! Just continue to read and review :)

The people above I have broken up what should be read by next Monday based on how many chapters your stories have.

By next Monday 8/8

Imke - chapter 6
Summer03 - chapter 15
Saka Steph - chapter 20
Darby - chapter 10
Carterkid - chapter 10

Happy Reading!

Also, don't forget to post in this thread and let us know how you are enjoying your stories.

One other thing, please take the time to respond to people's reviews. I know some of you don't think it's important but it really comes off as douchey to not say anything especially when people are taking the time to give you critical feedback on the story YOU wanted them to read in the first place. I know it's a giant turn off for me to the point where i'll actually stop reading people's stuff if they don't show common courtesy to the people who take the time to review them.

Ok, so far I've read till chapter 4 of Love This Pain and I like the story a lot! It's well-detailed, flows well and it makes me want to read more. I'm really curious about Natalie and her secrets. I think Natalie does like Nick but because of whatever she is or does, can't continue seeing him. Don't have any constructive criticism. All I will say now is that I will definitely continue to read more. :)

Read till chapter 10 and I'm totally into the story. Avery still has a hard time letting Nick in because she thinks her fiance who died seven years ago was the love of her life. They're now on a date at Johnny Rockets (never heard of that before but I'm having an idea about what kind of restaurant it is lol) which is totally different from the fancy places they've been before. Also, on this date Avery is herself and even though Nick wants to give her $100,000 for it, it's different than when she's being paid to be Natalie. I'm curious to how the date will go and if Nick will be able to break through her walls soon.

It's really easy to read and I like Avery. I also like how they don't get into a relationship after 4 chapters. They're actually getting to know eachother instead.

Even though I've done my homework for next Monday, I'm not gonna stop reading. I want to know more. ;D

Oh and I want to say that I like the bits of Kelly Clarkson lyrics at the beginning of some chapters. It reminds me of the time when I was about 14 years old (which wasn't that long ago for me lol). I listened to that cd tons of times so I immediately recognized the lyrics. In fact, I'm going to look up her songs. :)

Dude, I'm on a roll! Just finished reading chapter 17. Nick and Avery are together, kind of. But now they're starting to see that their relationship and Avery's job isn't working together. Avery's friend (and ex colleague?) came by and told her she should quit but Avery doesn't want to because she knows she's best at playing Natalie. Nick does want Avery to quit but says he's also fine if she keeps the job. But I don't think he's able to handle that for long. In this chapter it's Nick last day before he goes to Europe for the tour and they're both wondering what is going to happen in the time they're not together.
Also, Howie was being an asshole in chapter 16. I was like "What the F, Howard?!" I didn't expect him to say stuff like that. He hasn't even properly met Avery. I wonder what was wrong with him then and I wonder if that will be explained later on.

The story gets better and better with each chapter! Too bad it's almost coming to an end. :(

I wish I could read more but I gotta leave now. I'm not sure if I have time to read tomorrow 'cause it's my dad's birthday. If I can find time, I will. Otherwise I will continue at Wednesday!

YAY! I'm really glad you're liking it.. I was really paranoid putting a story in the challenge because I know I'm not the most liked person in the bsb fan fiction fandom. You liking the story and the plot really makes me feel better <3<3

Honestly, I kind of want to make Howie a douche in this story for some reason. He's usually very non-existent in my stories (except for a random comment here or there or either in "I Wanna Be Bad" where he was a main character), so I wanted him to kind of take the fatherly/Kevin role for a change.

1) Visions of Love by alota_cookin
                         adventure/humor

2) Would you have ever read this story if it wasn't a challenge?Eventually I think I would,I have a 'stories to challenge myself with' list and this story was on it.

3) What was your favorite scene? way to many to pick from but I would say AJ getting hit with a coconut

4) Who was your favorite character and why? AJ cause he's so funny in this story

5) Overall tell us one reason why you think someone else should/or shouldn't read this story.Readers would love how funny it is but may have a hard time knowing who's who.I can't tell you who is saying what!I think there should be something to let you know who's talking.

6) Did it convert you to the genre it is? Would you be willing to read another story just like it?Like Carter-Orange,I too read a story because of what's on the summary. Not genre

7) Give one piece of concrit that might help the author for future reference. This can be positive too, concrit doesn't always mean negative.
I'm not good at giving concrit but I would say give more details to who's talking.

8) This should be the question the author asked in their survey. Everyone's will be different.

Do you like the flow of the story and how it's unfolding? Yes,I like the flow and It's unfolding nicely.

9) Would you recommend this story and author to another person? Why or why not yes I would,Its really a great read.

10) Out of 10 stars what would you give this story? 8 stars

11) Do you think after you are done reading what's there so far (and you only have to read however many chapters are there when the start of this challenge was given) Do you think you will continue to read the story through to the end to see what happens to the characters?
                    yes,I will

1) Name of the story you read and the author and what you feel the genre is. Your answer might be different then the authors.
It Stays With You by Mare and I'd say it's mostly Suspence, as she has it labeled.

2) Would you have ever read this story if it wasn't a challenge?
Not a chance! LOL

3) What was your favorite scene?
Erm...I dunno...I think maybe when Brian freaked out in the hospital cafeteria...I was imagining it and thought it was kinda funny, yet heart breaking at the same time.

4) Who was your favorite character and why?
Actually...I think it would be Brian. He is the one telling the story, so you really get into his mind and feel his emotions.

5) Overall tell us one reason why you think someone else should/or shouldn't read this story.
I think it's a good story for people to consider reading, because not everything is as it seems...I found this out myself when I got into it more it wasn't even close to what I expected and I really ended up enjoying it.

6) Did it convert you to the genre it is? Would you be willing to read another story just like it?
I may consider it. Blood still makes me queasy (I can't help it!) so it would really depend on the story.

7) Give one piece of concrit that might help the author for future reference. This can be positive too, concrit doesn't always mean negative.
Quit being lazy and fix the punctuation thing, LMAO! ;)

8) This should be the question the author asked in their survey. Everyone's will be different.
The question was... Did you have a hard time reading the more disturbing parts of the story and did it keep you interested to find out what happens next?
I did personally have a bit of a hard time with those parts...kept having to take breaks because it was making my stomach twist. But I was still curious and interested to see what happened...I was actually quite anxious to see what happened.

9) Would you recommend this story and author to another person? Why or why not
Depending on the person, I probably would. It's well written and I think a lot of people would enjoy it.

10) Out of 10 stars what would you give this story?
Mmmm...I'll go with an 8.

11) Do you think after you are done reading what's there so far (and you only have to read however many chapters are there when the start of this challenge was given) Do you think you will continue to read the story through to the end to see what happens to the characters?
N/A

And for those of you reading completed stories, if there was a sequel, would you be curious enough to continue reading on?
Yikes. You know what...I just might.

I'm not good at giving concrit but I would say give more details to who's talking.

After really looking at this, I think the confusion may come from my personal style of writing...I get annoyed with the constant "he said, she said" stuff after every piece of dialog...for whatever reason, I can't stand the redundancy of it. So generally I use the paragraph that accompanies the dialog, to show who is actually saying it. For example...

"Smooth move McLean!" Oh sure...now HE is ganging up against me too...perfect!

Because (AJ) McLean is being addressed in the statement...an d there are only two men in the story at this point, the "he" is supposed to point to Howie as the speaker. Usually the sentence following the statement should indicate who is speaking...it's just not as direct as "Howie said". I hope this helps clear up your confusion and I will work on trying to make it more clear, from now on.

Thank you for reading the story though...I'm really glad you liked it, despite the confusion you had over the dialog. I really DO hope you continue to read.  :)

Ok sorry for the lack of my appearance but, my computer officially hates me and died. I was out of town this weekend too so didnt read much. I am in reading mode now and I have to say A Little taste of sin is getting interesting by the chapter I am in chapter 11 now. I have to say the story is flowing well and very elaborate, my on little issue is the length of the chapters. But I am getting used to it now... Ok well going to read some more and be back in a few more chapters. Mel sorry for the delay!

Aww... I am sorry to hear about your computer. I figured that something had probably come up that was unforseen. I am glad though that you are enjoying the story though. Woohoo all done with my reading. Here is my survey!

1) Name of the story you read and the author and what you feel the genre is. Your answer might be different then the authors. It Stays With You by Mare. It's definately suspense.

2) Would you have ever read this story if it wasn't a challenge? I like Mare's stories, so I probably would have given it a try. Although the whole it being Brian would have made me think it twice. (just because he's my least fave bsb)

3) What was your favorite scene? My favorite scene was when he went into the room and told Nick that he had found him. That he was alive. EEEK! I had a knot in my throat it was a touching scene.

4) Who was your favorite character and why? It was definately Brian. He was so torn up inside for himself AND Nick, but he kept strong...his friendship with Nick kept him going.

5) Overall tell us one reason why you think someone else should/or shouldn't read this story. It's just a really awesome story, that brings out many emotions and keeps you guessing.

6) Did it convert you to the genre it is? Would you be willing to read another story just like it? I will definately try reading more suspense.

7) Give one piece of concrit that might help the author for future reference. This can be positive too, concrit doesn't always mean negative. I'm not good at concrit, but I did notice that sometimes the dialogue for different characters was on the same line. Of course, this is one of Mare's older stories and by now she's mastered that little glitch. lol.

8) This should be the question the author asked in their survey. Everyone's will be different...Di d you have a hard time reading the more disturbing parts of the story and did it keep you interested to find out what happens next?
For the most part I didn't find it hard to read the disturbing parts, although they did make me cringe. The only one that gave me goosebumps was the one part with Nick and the hair, I kept shuddering just thinking of the pain. OUCH!

9) Would you recommend this story and author to another person? Why or why not
I would definately recommend this story to another person. Because it's an interesting plot and very well written.

10) Out of 10 stars what would you give this story? I give it a 9

11) Do you think after you are done reading what's there so far (and you only have to read however many chapters are there when the start of this challenge was given) Do you think you will continue to read the story through to the end to see what happens to the characters?
Doesn't apply to me!

And for those of you reading completed stories, if there was a sequel, would you be curious enough to continue reading on? Heck yeah!! Although I'm pretty sure there wont be.

I'm not sure if this thread is done...but I was wondering for those that have already read this story. What was your favorite scene and did you think it would turn out the way it did?

Mare may I know how you came up with the idea for a story like this?
Title: Re: Engarde!!!!! The reading challenge part two!

Thanks so much Erika! I'm glad you were willing to give this story a chance and that it would make you consider reading more suspense. My first few stories were a mess when it came to dialogue so I know at times it probably was confusing. I think i've gotten better at that now. I know going back and re-reading some older stuff I cringe at that sometimes. That and switching POV but that didn't happen in this one. LOL

How I came up with idea? One of the reasons I named it It Stays With You is because this idea stayed with me forever before I actually was brave enough to start writing it. The plot was so dark and went to places I wasn't sure I wanted to go but it wouldn't leave me be. I knew I wanted it to be Nick and Brian but I wasn't sure who I wanted to tell the story. At first I wanted it to be Nick and Kevin but at the time, I didn't picture Kevin that vulnerable. I couldn't see him agreeing to carve up Nick or anything like that. Like you, Brian is my least favorite BSB so I really struggled with the idea of writing a whole story based around his thoughts and feelings. In the end, I think I made the right choice.  I  did a lot of research on PTSD for this one and that hair scene sadly came from a lot of personal stories I read about how people deal with things like this.

And I had to double check but I actually did write a short story for a challenge on the forum and it's kind of a prequel to this one told through the eyes of the person who did this to the both of them. I always knew I was going to leave this one completely unresolved because like you said in your final review, that's the most realistic conclusion. So I wrote that story for the people who wanted to know a little more. I had forgotten about it until now lol

This is the link: http://absolutechaos.net/viewstory.php?sid=9728&warning=4

Thanks again! And yay another story for the challenge is finished!

I am almost done with mine too!  :)

All done! :)

1) Name of the story you read and the author and what you feel the genre is. Your answer might be different then the authors.

I read October Road by Sapphire and I agree with her that it was an AU and a Romance.

2) Would you have ever read this story if it wasn't a challenge?

No, because of the above answer and it's an AJ story.

3) What was your favorite scene?

I really enjoyed the scene after the funeral where Krystle tried to explain to her son why his father wasn't ever coming back.

4) Who was your favorite character and why?

Without a doubt, Jordan because he was all kinds of adorable. LOL

5) Overall tell us one reason why you think someone else should/or shouldn't read this story.

I think this story is perfect for people who enjoy a light, happy read. But if you are more into action and drama/angst you probably might want to skip this one. I can see romance people really enjoying it.

6) Did it convert you to the genre it is? Would you be willing to read another story just like it?

Probably not. Nothing against Krystle or the story but I need more action. I'm glad I gave it a try though.

7) Give one piece of concrit that might help the author for future reference. This can be positive too, concrit doesn't always mean negative.

Overall it's very well written and flows nicely. My only issue was all the dialogue. Most of the story was split into dialogue which wasn't really integral to the plot of the story. When that happens, it tends to slow things down and makes it a little monotonous. The other thing also in dialogue, once it's mentioned already it doesn't have to be mentioned again and that happens a lot in this. person A tells person B something and then a chapter later it's repeated all over again to person C.

8) Krystle wanted to know if the story was convincing as an AU and the answer was yes. It was completely AU. I'm not sure if Alex shined through as AJ but he's who I pictured when I saw Alex as well as Howie for the principal and Brian for the Ex.

9) Would you recommend this story and author to another person? Why or why not

I think if someone were to ask for a good AJ romance fic, I would mention it. And yes, I would recommend Sapphire.

10) Out of 10 stars what would you give this story? I'd say it's about a 6

11) Do you think after you are done reading what's there so far (and you only have to read however many chapters are there when the start of this challenge was given) Do you think you will continue to read the story through to the end to see what happens to the characters?

The story was finished.

And for those of you reading completed stories, if there was a sequel, would you be curious enough to continue reading on?

I think it ended in a perfect place so, no I don't think I would.

You know after this got started and I thought about my story I put up (Room 438)... LOL I think I stuck romance as a genre to get people to start reading it. LOL I don't it's got romance at all.  But if you notice lately I've been asking other's opinions of adding genres and what not cause sometimes I DO get confused as to what to mark them as. LOL.

LMAO so you just put romance so people would read it? How did that work out for you, did it get readers?

I think that's the hardest part for me, trying to figure out what to put for the genre especially if it can fall under a bunch of them.

I am not sure if it helped or not... I think I might have used Romance because Kevin and Danielle were getting married, but I don't think it's really a romance.  I don't know what I was thinking that many years ago to know for sure WHY I stuck romance as a genre, but I'm pretty sure it DOESN'T fall into that category.

You can go change it. I have done that with my earlier stories that I might have mislabelled. At the beginning of AC there weren't as many genres to pick from either. Like dramedy was added on just a few years ago.

Sometimes it's hard to know what genres to label a story as in the beginning because you really just don't know yet.  Hopefully you know what the main genre will be, but sometimes as the story progresses, you realize it has elements of other genres, too.  We just added sci-fi as a genre to 00Carter as a result of submitting it for the challenge.

Glad you liked "It Stays With You" so much!  It's a GREAT suspense story!  I've read it a couple of times, although not in awhile, and whenever I think of it, what comes to mind aren't specific scenes so much, as images.  The "MINE" carved into Nick's skin and the preacher with the lobster claw hand are the ones that stand out most.  That disturbing imagery just shows how delightfully twisted Mare can be LOL, and it's the reason I loved this story so much.  It's just unsettling.

Nope.  I think we started posting it on AC when we were writing Ice Ice Baby, so we didn't know there would be aliens yet LOL.  But some of Dr. Rough's weapons are pretty sci-fi, so it would have made a good genre either way.

If I'd known Song For The Undead was now labelled as sci-fi I would've picked it in my sci-fi choices :)

Not Undead, 00Carter.  Undead could maybe be considered sci-fi because of the zombie virus, but I don't think enough to include that as one of its genres.  It's more just horror.  But thanks anyway, Steph! :)

1) Name of the story you read and the author and what you feel the genre is. Your answer might be different than the authors.

The Best of Both Worlds by Sakabelle. It was definitely drama and romance, but I would disagree that it falls into the angst category. I didn't find it all that angsty!

2) Would you have ever read this story if it wasn't a challenge?

I don't know. Admittedly, I had seen it on the most recent list many times but had never really felt compelled to read it. I'd say I probably would have if the mood struck though.

3) What was your favorite scene?

Gah. I wish I was filling this out a little closer to the time that I had read it because this is kind of a hard question now lol

I'd say my favourite scene was actually towards the beginning as the story was set up. I really just enjoyed the chemistry between Nick and Dani when they're sitting in the hotel room watching Office Space. I really felt like that were comfortable and casual with each other.

4) Who was your favorite character and why?

Nick was my favourite character. I mentioned this in my reviews, but I really felt like I could hear his voice better than Dani's. I had a really easy time understanding him even though I didn't always agree with his decisions.

5) Overall tell us one reason why you think someone else should/or shouldn't read this story.

I thought it was a cute romance and well written, so anyone who would enjoy a relatively quick read would like this one.

6) Did it convert you to the genre it is? Would you be willing to read another story just like it?

Eh... I don't know that it converted me to anything. I wouldn't say no to reading another romance, and I definitely like drama, but I think it left me in the same position I was in before.

7) Give one piece of concrit that might help the author for future reference. This can be positive too, concrit doesn't always mean negative.

I really felt like I could have gotten more into the story had it been in third person. The first person narrative didn't really flow for me, especially during the Dani chapters. In Nick's chapters he sometimes switches to second person (speaking directly to the audience) but that never happens in Dani's chapters. I felt too like you were far more comfortable speaking in his voice over hers. I really liked his chapters!

8) This should be the question the author asked in their survey. Everyone's will be different.

I don't think it was too over the top. It didn't come off as cliche as other stories with similar plotlines. I really felt like they were good friends before, and they didn't just jump into bed with each other. It was a while as they both came to the realization that their feelings were more than just friendly.

9) Would you recommend this story and author to another person? Why or why not

I definitely would! I enjoyed it. Once I got into it I read through the whole thing in one sitting!

10) Out of 10 stars what would you give this story?

7.25

11) Do you think after you are done reading what's there so far (and you only have to read however many chapters are there when the start of this challenge was given) Do you think you will continue to read the story through to the end to see what happens to the characters?

And for those of you reading completed stories, if there was a sequel, would you be curious enough to continue reading on?

It was finished, and if there were a sequel ... I would probably read it if only to see where the characters ended up.

Hi All!

Just doing my weekly check in with everyone. This week a few more of us finished this challenge. So a big yay to:

Kristal
Erika
Mare
carterkid

That's 11 of us, not bad!!

New homework assignments for everyone, I know that it's getting to be mid August which means back to school for a lot of us, this might be more difficult but then again if you've been keeping yourself on track you should be almost done. You have all done a great job catching up and participating in this challenge and I thank you for that. Nothing irks me more than volunteering to do something and then not particiapting. Mare's BIGGEST pet peeve is irresponsiblit y and yes, in this case it's just fanfic but if you flake on this chances are you flake on other things as well.

We're going to try to get you guys to the halfway mark.

Okay homework assignments to be completed by next monday (8/15)

Darby, your goal is to hit chapter 17. I know you've been ill. Hope you feel better soon!

Summer, your goal is to reach chapter 30.

Rose, your goal is to reach chapter 25.

If I didn't mention your name that means you are already past the halfway point of your stories. I'm hoping some of you will be finishing up this week. It looks like Rachel and Imke have a very few chapters left to read before they are done.

I would also like to apologize to either Rose or Julie on behalf of Saka Steph who for whatever reason just isn't reading. I have been posting in this thread about it plus have sent a PM and still haven't heard back. I have no idea what's going on but if someone would like to pick up the slack and read? At least Mel is reading it so you both have gotten feedback which is nice.

I'll be posting up that writer's survey next week for all of you to fill out about your experience. So far it seems like everyone has enjoyed this challenge.

YAY! :)

I said I would post this on Monday but since this place is so dead tonight, I thought i'd post it now.

This is the readers final survey. Fill it out only if your reader has finished your story, and be honest! If you feel like your reader didn't give you adequate feedback, now's the time to ask for more details or clarification, etc... but remember only ask if you are willing to listen to the answer.

I'll be back on Monday for more bugging! :) (You know you all love me!) lol

Who was the person reading your story?

1. Did you get regular feedback on your chapters from your reader?

2. Did you respond to that feedback?

3. Did your reader take the time and post about what they read in the forum thread?

4.  Do you feel like you got the amount of feedback you were expecting?

5. Was there anything that the reader of your story said that surprised you?

6. Do you feel like the feedback you got was constructive and something you would use as a tool to help you out later?

7. Overall did you think this was a positive experience? Why or why not?

8. Is there any question you have for your reader that you would like them to elaborate on?

9. Would you consider taking part in something like this again?

10. Do you have any comments for your reader or anyone in general who may want to read your story in the future?

Hey guys!

I'm really sorry I haven't been around much. I have been really busy working with a tight deadline at work and some bad stuff happened in my personal life. I feel really bad about not having had much time, but please know that I would never flake out for no reason and the fact that I still had to do this was always in the back of my mind.

I did have free time today so I read up to chapter 26 of 00Carter. Up to the end of the Bunnies in Black part. I thought I would come here and post my thoughts before I continued any further. I left lots of reviews though!

Anyway, I thought the beginning of it was really funny. I like how Nick is this slick secret agent, but he's still so Nickish lol. It reminds me a lot of Get Smart actually. I like how all BSB have made an appearance so far, and how most of the Nsync guys are there too.

I found the part with Justin's backstory to be the best one so far. I thought it was the most intriguing and had the most character stuff that I liked. I enjoyed when it dug into his and Nick's past and what his motivations to being a villain were. I'm hoping that there will be more Nick/Justin scenes in future chapters! Also, the fact that he's called 'drums' amuses me to no end.

The only criticism I have so far is that it seems a little disjointed at times, which I suppose could be because there were so many people working on it. But for the most part I am enjoying it!

Again, really sorry for being MIA but our work project is finished now so things have calmed down for me.

We still have 6 people reading their stories so to help you out, i'm giving you homework to try to get you to finish this challenge on time. Most of you that are left also have stories that are a lot longer than the other ones chosen for this challenge so it's understandable why you haven't finished yet. We might want to keep story length in mind for the next time we try this.

So...

Saka and Mel - There are 66 chapters to read in total (that's how many there were when the challenge began. Feel fee to read the rest if you like) Mel only has 6 more chapters to go so just read them as you can for the next two weeks.
Saka Steph you should try to make it to chapter 44 by next Monday. I'm glad to see you reviewing and posting.

Summer - There are 60 chapters to read in total. Try to read up to chapter 40 by Monday.

Rose - There are 50 chapters to read in total. Try to hit 30 by next Monday.

Darby  - There are 32 chapters to read in total. Try to hit 20 by next Monday.

Imke - You only have 5 more chapters to go, so like Mel, just read as much as you can for the next week.

We also still need a final survey from Rachel.

My goal if you can't tell, is to have everyone finish this on time! LOL

Don't forget to fill out the final reader's survey I posted a few days ago!

Happy reading! :)

I'll go first I guess lol I have two of these to fill out so i'll start with Kristal!

Who was the person reading your story? Kristal (alota-cookin)

1. Did you get regular feedback on your chapters from your reader? Yes I did.

2. Did you respond to that feedback? Always

3. Did your reader take the time and post about what they read in the forum thread? Yes, she did and I appreciated it! :)

4.  Do you feel like you got the amount of feedback you were expecting? I wasn't sure how much feedback to expect so I was very pleased with the amount I got so, yes. lol

5. Was there anything that the reader of your story said that surprised you? Not really. lol

6. Do you feel like the feedback you got was constructive and something you would use as a tool to help you out later? It was more reactionary than anything else and I enjoyed that. It gave me a chance to see what she was thinking when she was reading it.

7. Overall did you think this was a positive experience? Why or why not? I did enjoy it. At first I was scared. It's always scary when you know someone is reading this only because they have to for a challenge, but yes it ended up being great. I always looked forward to knowing what their thougths or opinions were going to be on any given chapter.

8. Is there any question you have for your reader that you would like them to elaborate on? Not really, I think Kristal was pretty clear on how she felt about the story.

9. Would you consider taking part in something like this again? Absolutely :)

10. Do you have any comments for your reader or anyone in general who may want to read your story in the future? I just wanted to thank Kristal for giving my story a try. I know it's not something she would normally read and to see her so receptive to it was awesome!

Who was the person reading your story? Erika (kevmylove)

1. Did you get regular feedback on your chapters from your reader? Yes

2. Did you respond to that feedback? Always!

3. Did your reader take the time and post about what they read in the forum thread? Yes she did :)

4.  Do you feel like you got the amount of feedback you were expecting? Yup

5. Was there anything that the reader of your story said that surprised you? Nope lol

6. Do you feel like the feedback you got was constructive and something you would use as a tool to help you out later? Just like kristal, Erika's feedback was more reactionary so it was the same type of thing as far as looking forward to seeing what she thought of some of the chapters.

7. Overall did you think this was a positive experience? Why or why not? Yup same answer as above lol

8. Is there any question you have for your reader that you would like them to elaborate on? Nope, but I am curious to know if she did go anf read the short story about the attacker? lol

9. Would you consider taking part in something like this again? Yuppers, my mind did not change from ten seconds ago lol

10. Do you have any comments for your reader or anyone in general who may want to read your story in the future? Just wanted to thank you to Erika for reading, commenting and reviewing this story. I appreciate it!

It's okay, sometimes life just happens.

You know, I never knew anything about Get Smart till after we started this, but I agree. They're similar in that aspect LOL. I loved that movie though and it did inspire a few ideas I eventually want to use. We knew from the get go we wanted all 5 BSB, and of course gave Howie a very special role LOL.

I'm glad you like Drums! He's my fave villain to actually write. I really love his backstory cause he's more a shade of grey in this whole black and white world we have for the story. And as for the name lmao, that was all Julie. She has this whole thing about that "Like I Love You" song, and now anytime I hear it I bust up laughing when he says "drums..." lmao.

I'd agree with you about it being disjointed in the beginning, I hope that smooths out for you as you get further. Our biggest problem was trying to mesh everyone's writing styles together.

Again, really sorry for being MIA but our work project is finished now so things have calmed down for me.

Glad to see you back here, Steph, and I hope life has started to settle down for you.  Thanks for taking the time to read and leave feedback.

I'm glad Nick still seems like Nick, even as a secret agent.  We started writing this before the Get Smart movie came out (and had never seen the show), but when that movie came out, we were like, "This is so 00Carter!"  That's exactly what we were going for.

Even though there are fictional characters (mainly, the Carter girls) and other celebrity cameos (NSync and the other random boyband guys in FANS), we wanted to keep it a BSB fanfic, so it was important to us to give each of the guys a role.  Obviously, Nick's the main character, and Howie's the supervillain, but we try to make sure Kevin, AJ, and Brian get to be involved in the episodes too.

I'm glad you liked the Justin stuff.  We dislike Justin, but Drums is one of our favorite characters to write.  And yes, Drums... LOL It goes back to that part in "Like I Love You" where he goes "Drums" out of nowhere... and then the drums start up again.  But yeah, he's in the story a lot in future episodes, and you get more Dr. Rough back story eventually, too.

I can see how it seems disjointed, especially in the earlier episodes when we had more people writing and hadn't latched onto a style we could all agree on yet.  I think it gets smoother as the episodes go on, but I'll be curious to see what you think.

Thanks again for the honest feedback!!

I said I would read but first my internet wouldn't work (we have a new provider and my laptop refuses to accept the new connection) so AC wouldn't load. I could have read on my phone but it's a bitch trying to scroll through the page lol. Yesterday my laptop fell and the screen broke (I tweeted a pic lol) so now I have to get on my mom's or sister's laptop when they're not already taken. Plus, there's been some drama at home and that gets me sleepless nights. This is so not my week. :-[

I hope the reparation of my laptop won't cost too much otherwise I'll have to buy a new one. Sigh.

So, I'll read whenever I can.

4.  Do you feel like you got the amount of feedback you were expecting? more then that (Not meaning to copy the song lol)

5. Was there anything that the reader of your story said that surprised you? some of it

6. Do you feel like the feedback you got was constructive and something you would use as a tool to help you out later? Yes! Thanks so much!

7. Overall did you think this was a positive experience? Why or why not? Yup I've learned not to go so fast.

8. Is there any question you have for your reader that you would like them to elaborate on? Nope

9. Would you consider taking part in something like this again? Very much yes!

10. Do you have any comments for your reader or anyone in general who may want to read your story in the future?no

I know I already did my two stories, but I also read Love This Pain when Imke was MIA.

1) Name of the story you read and the author and what you feel the genre is. Your answer might be different then the authors.
Love This Pain by MyConfession.  I think the genre of drama is correct, but it's also romance in my opinion.

2) Would you have ever read this story if it wasn't a challenge?
Probably would've given it a go.

3) What was your favorite scene?
I liked when they first got together, before he knew she was a call girl.

4) Who was your favorite character and why?
Nick, because he came across as a nice guy.

5) Overall tell us one reason why you think someone else should/or shouldn't read this story.
If you like steamy sex scenes and a well written story, you'll like it.  If you like a happy ending to your stories, then you aren't going to get one here and won't like it!

6) Did it convert you to the genre it is? Would you be willing to read another story just like it?
I already liked drama and so I'd be willing to read more.

7) Give one piece of concrit that might help the author for future reference. This can be positive too, concrit doesn't always mean negative.
I can't think of anything negative to say about the story or the writing.  It was well written, well presented and the characters were well developed.

8) This should be the question the author asked in their survey. Everyone's will be different.
Karah asked if the sex scenes were too much and no, they weren't!

9) Would you recommend this story and author to another person? Why or why not
Yes, I would recommend this story to others as I enjoyed it and I'm sure other people would too.

10) Out of 10 stars what would you give this story?
I'd give it 9, only because of the ending.  I didn't like the ending (sorry Karah!)

11) Do you think after you are done reading what's there so far (and you only have to read however many chapters are there when the start of this challenge was given) Do you think you will continue to read the story through to the end to see what happens to the characters?

N/A as it's complete

And for those of you reading completed stories, if there was a sequel, would you be curious enough to continue reading on?

There couldn't be a sequel to this one, lol!  So no.

Who was the person reading your story? Tracy

1. Did you get regular feedback on your chapters from your reader? Yes

2. Did you respond to that feedback? Always

3. Did your reader take the time and post about what they read in the forum thread? Yes she did

4.  Do you feel like you got the amount of feedback you were expecting? Yes

5. Was there anything that the reader of your story said that surprised you? Not really.  Tracy did say the story was short, which it was.  I was trying to make it like an episode of Supernatural, lol.

6. Do you feel like the feedback you got was constructive and something you would use as a tool to help you out later? The feedback was more a reaction to the story, but Tracy did mention that it ended too soon.

7. Overall did you think this was a positive experience? Why or why not? Yes, I think it was a positive experience because it was good to know what a reader who wouldn't usually read this kind of thing actually thought of my story.  I would definitely take part in something like this again.

8. Is there any question you have for your reader that you would like them to elaborate on? Can't think of anything right now.

9. Would you consider taking part in something like this again? Definitely!

10. Do you have any comments for your reader or anyone in general who may want to read your story in the future? Thanks for taking the time to read and review!  I really appreciate it :)

Thoughts on Casual

So I've gotten through Chapter 30 on Casual, and past the halfway point of the story. So far it's definitely well written. Quinn although I find myself unable to relate to her, is a well rounded character. And Nick is as well, though some things (like missing Howie's wedding ceremony but making it to the reception) seem a bit OOC for me.

One thing about their relationship, is it's not the normal kind. Which is basically the premise of the story, how you can't always define a relationship the way people want you to. At the same time, there are many twist and turns. At times the plot does feel a bit overdramatic and I find myself cringing at some of the drama laid in place. Like when Quinn set out to hit up on a guy just for the gossip rags to throw off the idea that her and Nick were serious since there were pics taken of them at Howie's reception. She set out to do this, yet once it sprialed out of control it blew up in her face. It was to me, incredibly manipulative and a turnoff to her character. I was also surprised at how upset she got when Nick reacted to it (once it got splashed all over the tabloids) when she should've known better.

But now they've started to actually go out on dates, something they haven't done yet. So I'm curious to see where that leads them. That needed to happen cause a purely sexual relationship does lack substance and is probably why they've had their shaky points.

5. Was there anything that the reader of your story said that surprised you? No not really.

here's my survey:

Who was the person reading your story? Carter-Orange

1. Did you get regular feedback on your chapters from your reader? Not every chapter but she did review frequently.

2. Did you respond to that feedback? Yes I did.

3. Did your reader take the time and post about what they read in the forum thread? Yes she did.

4.  Do you feel like you got the amount of feedback you were expecting? Yeah she commented every 3 chapters or so.

5. Was there anything that the reader of your story said that surprised you? I was surprised at some of the comments....lo oking back it made me question myself as a writer.

6. Do you feel like the feedback you got was constructive and something you would use as a tool to help you out later? In a way it did. It was an old story and my writing has improved a lot since YGLANBN was written. I probably should have picked a more current story.

7. Overall did you think this was a positive experience? Why or why not? It was...I enjoyed it. But for personal reasons, it made me rethink some things. I don't blame the challenge, I have changed as a writer.

8. Is there any question you have for your reader that you would like them to elaborate on? No she was pretty clear.

9. Would you consider taking part in something like this again?
Yes I would.

10. Do you have any comments for your reader or anyone in general who may want to read your story in the future? You Give Love A Bad Name was my first fanfic. I probably made a bad choice in picking that, but it was completed and I wanted some constructive criticism on it. I would love for someone to read the other stories in the series and do the same. I really appreciate her taking the time to read and giving me a chance.
